I’m so over Summer and I can’t wait for Lisa’s new launches. Even if I don’t buy (I normally do 🫣) I love watching her launch videos and learning about her product and shade inspiration. She really is the best in the business in so many ways. Genuine, a true aesthete and artist. A world apart from the fake ass dahlings entrepreneurs that peddle the insta hun blow up doll looks

After all your rave reviews of the skin tint, I've just splurged on 6, along with Gloss Embrace in Blush. Great service from the Liberty counter.

It looks so natural, feels good and evens everything out.

Thanks for the recommendation 😊

I was absolutely sure I wasn't going to buy the palette as I do not wear purple make up. I'm neutral leaning warm so the idea of silvery lilac eyeshadow makes me shudder😱
I knew I'd want the mascara, as I love brown mascara, and the matching pencil because I had toyed between that and ground coffee and bought the coffee and one and it's very dark and cool so more like a charcoal black. I like it and don't regret having it, but it's not the brown on me that it seems to be on other people so should have got burnt umber first.

Anyway, saw Charlotte holdcroft's video and still wasn't overly impressed because the one eyeshadow I loved the look of was the peachy one and it was the only one she didn't use 🙄 went on website to order the mascara and pencil. I saw the pics on the website of the palette used on different tones so I now have a Betty on its way to me with the mascara and pencil 😂

I also like that Lisa has normal names for her shades.
‘What lipstick shade are you wearing?’
‘Oh, it’s called Sexy Lips’

‘I love your blush, what’s it called?’
‘Erm…Deep Throat.’

I can’t be dealing with those levels of cringe anymore.

I'm T1! I'm pretty pale but have sun damage. This really evens me out.

I bought Ashes of Roses (I tried it in Liberty last month and really liked it on me), a lip pencil (I only have an old CT one), and two of the glosses (Blush & Ribbon). I have Petal and Muse. With this I got the two free bags which will be nice as I travel a lot so I collect travel bags. A lot of them I got rid of recently filling with small cleansers, moisturizers, tampons, pantiliners etc to be donated to women in Western North Carolina since they got devastated by the hurricane and one of my neighbors drives up there regularly to donate things like that, food, cooked meals, money, et cetera.

I really want regular concealer. I think the pencil one won't be for me since I have pretty decent skin but figured, why not if I'm buying some stuff for myself for my birthday. It's so obscenely expensive. Says me who bought it though, sigh.

I really don’t know why Lisa even needs these people, her videos show all swatches on different tones and she sells the product herself, and the products sell themselves because they perform well and look great.

I’ve not seen such influencer type launches when it comes to Lisa in the past but please correct me if I’m wrong. I don’t follow any beauty bloggers as all the eyefucking and hair flicking really grinds my gears. Can’t stand it TBH. Lisa’s products kind of sold themselves originally without any advertising. I’ve followed her for years and it’s seems that her cute pop up in Covent Garden was a million years ago. I still think she has great integrity and knows the industry inside out from way before the internet and how marketing and PR has changed drastically over the years. I guess in the past that Pullman coach would have been filled with magazine beauty editors, some with more integrity than others 👀.

it does gall A LOT that these “content creators” get so much stuff for free, it really does

I got my order today - really fast shipping!

I got the Skin Tint in T6 as recommended by Lisa’s online IG customer service. When I say it’s perfect, that’s an understatement.

First of all the bottle is incredibly sensuous and beautiful to hold, and very easy to shake and squeeze.

I used 2 drops to cover my entire face and then another 2 drops and built up over problem areas - I have combination menopausal skin with rosacea, and it was gorgeous. It will last for agessss. It felt nourishing, melted completely into my skin, and I could see a difference in the coverage from just my moisturised & SPF covered skin vs with the Skin Tint on top. It was a perfect match in terms of colour, made my skin feel soft and comfortable, looks luminous without appearing shiny or glittery, and evened out imperfections. I don’t like full coverage, I find it looks mask-like and settles into pores and actually highlights imperfections. So I usually use a BB or CC tinted cream. This tops them all.
Also, when I wear any kind of make up on my skin, after a few hours, I can feel my skin get reactive, flush, slightly irritated, but not with this! It lasts (been about 6 hours now), and it looks and feels just like when I put it on.

This is not for those who want full coverage, but it’s absolutely perfect for me.

Have you ever tried the MAC brushblack eyeliner? If yes, could you please report back how Lisa's eyeliner compares to it?
I am blown away by the Kitten Flick eyeliner - it tops anything I’ve ever used - and that includes the MAC brush black (I found it too dry and thick), Shisheido, Beauty Pie, Nars, Pat McGrath, Urban Decay, Charlotte Tilbury. I have been on a quest. And this is it. Incredibly fine line that gives a lot of control, deep rich saturated colour pay off, and it has lasted all day. What I found quite special about this eyeliner is how thin the formulation was and yet how saturated the pigment is. I’m not sure I’m explaining that right, but when I first put it on, I smudged it a bit because I was expecting to have to work to lay down a deep black. But you just touch your skin with this liner and it’s right there first time. And it’s super super fine. Love it.

I also got the Luxuriously Lucent Lipcolour, and while the colour was perfect on me (I got Spirited Away as per the CS suggestion), and it felt lovely and creamy, and it matched my skin tone, it didn’t last and it definitely caked into the lines of my lips after a while. It’s very sheer going on and it is buildable in colour, but it would only work for the day if you’re a person who reapplies their lipstick often. I am not. I’m going to try the Velveteen Liquid Lipcolour when the shade I want (Muse) comes back in stock

Loving the skin tint and the ease it applies with. Had a very short notice meeting where I had to look put together/polished, managed to blend on the tint in a minute add a bit of lip balm and mascara and looked perfectly fine and suitable for the meeting. Felt like one of those legendary ☆Effortless Women☆ 😁

I second the eyeliner. Genuinely brilliant. You won’t be disappointed
I have now ordered the eyeliner and the skin tint (T4). My family gave me supermarket gift cards for my birthday because they don't know what else to give me. The idea being that I buy something that I fancy for that amount and they in turn cover my groceries for the same amount.

So I decided that the thing I fancy most is trying the eyeliner and the skin tint, I'll report back once I had a chance to try them.

I’m so very excited - my Skin Tint is on the way, along with the Kitten Flick eyeliner and a lipstick. I dmed her account on IG, and they got back to me really quickly, suggested a shade, and answered many questions, all with grace and patience. Absolutely love her videos, love her style and her kind of intentional curated process.
I never knew she was a tetrachromat (she has a condition where she sees millions more shades of colour than the “normal” eye) but it explains the nuance and depth of her spectrum of colour.

I think that Lisa is going to bring out a sample card for the skin tint. I am usually very pale foundation wise think caspers ghost with red cheeks and I went for T6. Perfect match

I find it covers a lot better than Trinnys BFF I was really disappointed with that, as for me there was zero coverage and did naff all.

The only reason I haven't bought Lisa's foundation is I'm fed up buying foundation that is either too orange, doesn't cover or isn't quite pale enough. It's only recently I've realised with people like Lisa I'm not going to be the palest. At the moment Lisa is out of stock of the shades I think will work for me. Plus my husband is taking me to London for a couple of nights. So it makes sense to be colour matched I'm also going to be cheeky and ask for a small sample so I can try it out. My Liberty beauty drop credit is burning a hole in my pocket 😂
Thanks.
Yes I was disappointed with Trinny’s BFF too. I saw no difference after application either. I love the concept of Trinny’s pots but the eyeshadows crease on me which is a shame.

Wow you’re a T6.
I do have 2 of her foundation sample cards so I may try them and then email them.

Enjoy London but don’t forget your elbow pads so that you can get past the hoards of Freaks at the SR Flagship counter! (Yes I know it’s not Hirons thread, but old habits die hard and I couldn't help myself!) 😜 😳

Totally irrelevant but as this is her job I wish the lady got her nails done and had removed her hair ties a bit before she took photos so there wouldn’t be those indents. Especially since she’s just got £224 worth of lipstick for free.
I just looked her Instagram, seems like those beads are her thing, (a bit like Prince Harry and his bracelets) sorry but not an aspirational account for me.

It looks like Lisa put on a very classy event on the Pullman train for the launch of her new lipstick. Just not sure some of the “influencers” that were there quite match her aesthetic 🤔

So I got my autumn kit today - a little strangely packaged - just a bit of tape holding the box closed… I got both, because I wanted to have a stash of the mascara and liner (and I’ll gift the lipstick for Christmas to my goddaughter.)
I got an extra pouch because I spent over the threshold. I have to say, I thought the pouch would be bigger. It’s larger than the denim pouch which I am glad of because the denim one doesn’t fit my eye make up in one, but it’s not as high as I would like. And I thought it would be thick Liberty cloth material (like the Liberty beauty kit bags) but it seems to be printed on a kind of plasticky material. It’s nice but it didn’t wow me - I actually like the tactile feel of the denim bag better.
I tried the cleanser for the first time tonight and oh my. It’s really special. I put it on as I was tidying up, and then wiped it off with one of her cloths. Absolutely beautiful. A really good cleanse, and I have rosacea prone sensitive skin. It didn’t tingle or irritate my skin at all, no flare ups, and I managed to get a deep clean using the cloth. And after washing it off, my skin felt soft and supple and as if I had applied my night cream, not stripped and raw ( *cough* Skin Rocks cleanser *cough* ). I had a hormonal spot and it’s calmed right down. I keep stroking my face 😂 I love it but it’s really spendy so I’m not sure I could justify it as a regular cleanser … but the night before an event or when my skin is feeling irritated by everything, this will be my go-to, without a doubt.

I've used my Concealer Pencil a few days now. I do like it. It does what she says - unsurprising for Lisa Eldridge - it covers well, leaves a skin like texture and does focus where coverage is needed. The colour matching I think is on point for her foundation and skin tint. It's definitely not for under eye - not that I've tried, however it's just not a product I'd use there due to the purple darkness and increasing number of fine lines there.

A slight caveat - I am not as price conscious when it comes to make up. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to always pay high end prices, however if a product does the job it's designed for and provides what I need it to, I'm not going to shy away from a high price to product ratio. This isn't viable for everyone, and I'm not for a second suggesting it should be either. Make up is such a personal thing.

I also haven't tried the Laura Mercier. That's a brand I've never taken to; I only got the translucent powder in the last few months. Don't know why, just never gravitated towards it. Is it worth it?

Re customer services suggesting you buy 2 - of course they're going to upsell. However, I would argue that they also mark one as being brightening and one as a match. For how she states the product should be used, brightening isn't needed, unless you'll do inner corner of your eye as she does in her video, but you can use highlighters, eye shadows or other concealers for a brightening effect, if desired.

Edited to add 2 more lines.

It’s interesting to hear about the development process. Lisa is lovely to listen to

Influencer loves the sound of her own opinions! OMG SO ITALIAN! Lisa:erm no actually more Japanese.
Lisa is full of grace. I’ve met her at her pop ups and she is so polite and lovely.
These lipstick lesbians 🙄 couldn’t even get the name of the lipstick right in their post.

I love the lipstick charm she has as an earring but at £800 for one (or £1150 as a necklace) I think I’ll pass.
Sadly I do think the jewellery is vastly overpriced.

I saw your tag, but can't find the post now 🤦🏽‍♀️
I had surgery 12 weeks ago on an abcess, still having the district nurses twice a week. It's been tough going and groundhog days

Had a break from tattle as I've fallen down the rabbit hole that is tik tok with a couple of creators.

Couldn't be arsed with the OAF either 😂

Thank you for checking up on me 😘

Back on topic and Lisa's releases

1. The liqud silk and Fawn palette
Firstly it's the first time a pallete didn't excite me, I don't know why I just felt "meh" about it, I agree with others the name choice is a bit weird. I bought Irene through Space NK as my trusty max paint pot had died a death and I'd seen the video about using as a base. It's lovely to apply but it's one of those that I think may dry out quickly.

2. Like you I was really hoping for a concealer launch. I just hope that it grabs me and doesn't crease in my lines. I might go into liberty once it's been released and have a play about before committing

3. Rouge Experience
I said to my husband as soon as I saw the teaser that it would be a refillable lipstick. On release to emeralds I found the shade swatches on the models to not be so great almost annoyingly so.

I did get the email by 5pm and didn't have the problem that some members had. I'd have been knarked if that applied to me.

I was on the fence about buying one, so left it 24 hours then I contacted customer services to double check my choices and send them a photo to help with shade matching. Long story short I went for Romy as believe it or not I don't own a nude shade after being seriously underwhelmed by CT pillow talk. I also took a punt with Audrey, topped up with a cleanser and new mascara. I was pleased that she changed her GWP and the new one is a firm addition to my handbag.

Romy is a great shade for me and I love the formula, I got the case with my initials, refilling it with one working hand is not as easy as I thought it would be.

The train "launch" I'm conflicted by, Lisa seemed her usual self but the whole influencer thing annoys my grumpy self.

4. Lisa and me
This might be me being a complete moron but how do we redeem points ie is 5% the only way to do it? Answers on a postcard please

As usual I've kept things short and sweet 😂😂

I don’t mind influencers because I have been influenced by people to buy things be it from instagram, YouTube, adverts - we all have. What annoys me is influencers who don’t put any effort into what they are doing - main culprit being no swatches!
