I'm not sure I'd describe anything as mediocre. But I also wouldn't spend 2k on make up that i didn't already know if Iiked. I wouldn't spend 2k at all but definitely not on a risk!

I hope @JaneRev is okay.
She always used to post on here when there were new LE releases but she hasn’t posted in months.
I know she had surgery last year so perhaps she’s still recovering.
🤞She’s well and will post soon.

Thank you @JaneRev @Missmopps @Ccc8 ! ♥ It’s now on my list along with Épanoui…
I love a good cleanser but I find so many leave my skin feeling tight and dehydrated, even the balm ones! One of my favourites lately has been the elf Holy Hydration melting cleanser (cheap as chips and so effective), but I’ll definitely treat myself to this one in my next haul.
I hope she does a new GWP soon though because I already have 2 of her blue jean make up bags 😂
I work long days and travel a lot - I usually don’t wear any make up but I have to when I’m working. I’ve always had a stuffed bag full of bits that I try and make work, but since taking the LE plunge, I only use her products. They sit well on my 50+ year old face, they last (I adore the Velveteen liquid lip), and there’s no irritation or reaction to any of her products so far. I have very sensitive skin and rosacea, and I often get flare ups from make up. With LE, I look like me but more finished and put together. I don’t look like I’m wearing much make up, I just look like a woman with fantastic skin and long eyelashes 😂

With every brand there will be hits and misses but, as others have said, you try the brand before doing a huge order.

I think her eyeshadows are pigmented. I love her lipsticks but I’ve never tried her brushes so I can’t comment on those.

Of the items I’ve bought, the ones I wouldn’t repurchase are the Elevated Glow - I can’t see it on my face at all, perhaps I chose the wrong shade and also the Kitten Lash mascara. I bought the burnt umber shade. It looks brown on the wand but it doesn’t look brown on my lashes so I was disappointed with it.
I love the metallic eyeshadows. I find the matte ones less pigmented and more difficult to pick up on the brush and blend though. Love the eye pencils as they smudge when you apply them then set to budgeproof. Love the different lipstick formulas that I've tried. Love the mascara. I bought the brown but wasn't expecting the chocolate shade as my lashes are darker. It doesn't flake or smudge so happy with that as well. Really enjoy using the liquid eyeshadows as a one and done or as a primer. I like the highlighter but I only like a subtle highlight so that might be why my experience is different. I watched a review of the nyx buttermelt highlighters yesterday and they looked like glitter so definitely not for me! I haven't tried any other products but I'm waiting to use up what I have before buying more.

I think Lisa is one of the more reliable and better brands and I still wouldn't shell out 2k. But then I gasp at the total when I'm spending enough to get the freebie bag 😂

Just ordered Meet Cute in the new lip balm. Messaged the LE team through instagram to ask which of the lip liners would be best for going with it and got a huge long detailed reply explaining which one was best for me, and how the lip liner/balm combo works for each skin tone (luckily it's the one that I already use).

Outstanding customer service, really second to none.

New eyeshadow palettes coming soon, but she wouldn't give me a launch date!

Let me know what you think.
Thankfully I’m not tempted by the lipsticks.
Han Beauty has put up a video.
Step away from YouTube… 🫣
I have the pallet but not the lipsticks yet. I did 2 separate orders so I could get both totes. (I 🙄 at myself)

The pallet is nice and exactly as I'd expect from Lisa. The textures - especially the glitters - are the same as the other pallets, and closest to Betty I would say, though that's not surprising given the timing of launches. I'm very unlikely to wear the gold; it's a warm gold and I suit cool tones more (plus my jewelry is all platinum, white gold, silver etc so it'll clash visually). The glitters could be used as a light wash over an existing eye base, and create a lovely multi-tonal look. Yesterday afternoon, I wore Chrysina over Amani Tint 22 and VB Cocoa liner as a right line as it was a lush look. The greeny shadow isn't hugely pigmented, which I'm pleased by as I wouldn't be one to wear a green shadow, however it picks up the earthy tones well, and even though it's a "summer" launch, I think it'll be a lovely autumnal shade. I haven't tried the others as a "look" yet and only swatched on my arm like influencers/bloggers online.

I think it's a lovely addition to her range and is a sign of her branching out, picking up on trends and trying to force her own too.

Do I have similar colours in other pallets? Yes, but like you I have a lot of pallets.
Will I wear it often? Very unlikely.
Is it an every day go to? Not for me.
Could I have lived without it? Yes.
Am I a magpie? Absolutely

My in flight hydration kit. The lippie is Epanoui. I have my Lisa sculpting pencils in the bag as well. Love that makeup bag. Ages ago the Liberty SA said Lisa was going to release a travel size mist for flying. No sign as yet so have to make do with Emma Hardie

I would love this! The only option I've seen for my last few purchases has been the denim bag, so I have 2 of them.

Ashes of Roses is one I am eyeing but I really, really don't need more stuff! I do need to purge more of what I have. I'd gone through things, only swatched or even not used (ugh I am such a consumer), so thinking I can donate them to this local charity that gives women makeup, skincare, clothes etc for work, job interviews, that kind of thing.
@elliebee27 Im sorry it’s taken so long! Assiduously took the photos and then forgot to post them 😂😬

Here you go..,

I did a big purge last year and donated unused / barely used and cleaned products to a woman’s shelter that offers emergency accommodation to women, children & their animals leaving abusive situations. They said they would be welcome and would give the women a sense of a small indulgence amidst a difficult time.

Bloody hell!

From the Reddit post ‘What’s the most overhyped makeup product in your opinion?’
I think their first mistake was dropping $2k on makeup in one go.

this is the first product of hers I’ve thought is a total miss. Hardly any product (0.04g!!!!) and she’s charging almost £30? You can pinpoint correct in so many other ways using small brushes. Lisa has done this for years anyway.

Just seems ill considered and that’s at odds with the rest of her range.
Wayne Goss said the same. He said it’s a great product but vastly overpriced for the quantity of product.

I also saw a clip on Instagram of Lisa walking down a London street with a massive copy of her concealer pencil over her shoulder. I must admit it’s the first time I’ve cringed over anything Lisa has done. She doesn’t need tacky publicity like that. I hope she’s not becoming like the others in the business (looking at you Hirons) and doing anything for publicity.

How do you apply the skin tint please..brush,fingers of sponge?
I shake the bottle very well, put two drops on the back of my hand and with my fingers apply dots all over my face, concentrating on areas of redness or which need to be covered. I then just rub into my skin like a serum or face cream. It’s very liquid but has a bit of grip, and you can see it smoothing out the tones of your skin. I watched a video by Lisa the other day where she gave a hack for polished “makeup artist finished skin” - once the product has set on the skin, use a dry make up brush to very gently buff it into the skin. This literally takes seconds (and feels lovely), and really does smooth everything out and give a lovely finish!

Just another rave about the skin tint. It’s absolutely gorgeous to apply. Glowy and smooth, like a serum and it does cover! I prefer it to the foundation for daytime. Now I save the foundation for the evening if I feel particularly rosy of cheek.

I use t6 but will look out for the the 6.5 for holidays.

I would love a concealer (or may be the foundation in a smaller size / with a doe applicator to be used as a concealer and patchwork foundation for those of us who don’t use a lot of foundation), a brow pomade or something like that, and a finishing powder.

. Now they are stuck with the name, because how do you change the name of a lifelong honour without suggesting that those who received the 'old named' honour are no longer being honoured? Also, isn't jumping in and condemning another culture without really taking the trouble to educate yourself about it just the teensiest bit, well...colonial in nature?!
Quite easily e.g ‘Order of British Excellence’ a copywriter could come up with plenty of nuanced more respectful options that would have minimal change. (The simplest option i would imagine for the gov would be to offer nominees the choice of their ‘Empire’ as their E, or a second E term, as that would cause even less change politically whilst giving the nominee a choice. ( I don’t see how stopping an honour removes awards from prev winners, many awards stop being given in perpetuity without negating the prev award winners.)

What do you mean not educating myself about another culture? Which aspect of British culture do you not think I understand? I’m British and work in Whitehall.

(A colonial mindset isn’t just not knowing about something from another culture, it’s the belief that another people and land ought to be taken/used/‘civilised’/controlled/exploited.)

I did get the email by 5pm and didn't have the problem that some members had. I'd have been knarked if that applied to me.

4. Lisa and me
This might be me being a complete moron but how do we redeem points ie is 5% the only way to do it? Answers on a postcard please
I think what happened was the Rouge launch coincided with everyone's tiers getting refreshed for the year. So if someone who was an Emerald didn't spend £250 during the year, at 22/10 (when the email went out) their tier would've refreshed down, so they didn't get the email because as of that date they were no longer an Emerald.

The rules are the rules. I found a lot of the commenters on Lisa's Instagram really fucking rude complaining about it. I'm sure if they looked in their L&Me account they would've found out they were no longer Emerald tier on that date, but taking advantage of the good nature of her team and being disrespectful just irked the shit out of me and I felt like eating these random strangers up in the comments.
  • Go to your Lisa & Me
  • Scroll down to Rewards
  • Click "get reward"
  • You'll get a code for 5% off to apply the discount at checkout
  • Repeat to get another 5% until you max out your points (if you want to use them all up)
I was able to redeem up to 15% last time I had 900 points, but I don't know if there's a limit to how many 5% increments you can apply -- I was able to use all 3 discount codes on the same order. I have 1,200 points now and I'm stacking them up for the next big release.

Hope I’ve tagged all the oily eyelid girls! I have a tip which you may have tried and if not it may help you. I have oily eyelids too and I’ve found that if they are quite bad, before any eyeliner or eyeshadow application, I will blot them with some blotting paper. I also apply eye primer and then go in with either a translucent face powder or an eyeshadow close to my skin colour and dust that over. For me it helps set the primer better and gives a seamless base for the eyeshadows or eyeliners I want to wear.

Interesting that she's got a new comms director and is now going this tacky route. Yep, tacky.

Lisa has over 2million followers, surely she doesn't need to be buying shouty influencers a posh dinner, or sending free lipsticks to micro-influencers with 23k followers? How many extra sales will that really generate? When it was just her talking about her products, and the influencers had to go and buy it (and amazingly they all did and go buy her products) it felt more like an exclusive thing.

I'm definitely over influencers, particularly when they make the shift from being talented and almost as an aside mentioning products, to basically being a QCV presenter by another name.

It might have been on the make up rehab reddit where there was thread where everyone was listing the LE products they owned and what they thought of them - and it wasn't all glowing. Generally eyeliners and mascaras drying up quickly and lipsticks breaking (apparently a known fault due to the formulation). Eye opening, not because the products are bad but because it's so rare to hear what someone thinks of a product they've owned and used more than twice, and are weighing up whether it was worth hard earned money in comparison with other products available on the market.
