I have to say, people saying it’s stupid that people who don’t know him are upset and grieving really piss me off.
Music is litrelly so powerful, I’m sure I speak for most when I say we all have a favourite song, favourite band etc and when we are having a shitty day we put their music on and it makes you feel better or gets the emotions you need out. That’s the magic of music, mine personally is Eminem and wow he has got me through some dark moments. I don’t think anyone should feel ashamed or silly for grieving someone who potentially made their life better or easier even if it was just for those few mins of a song.
sorry I’m hormonal and really in my feels today xx

As soon as I saw the news I was shocked. I had no idea of any of his problems until reading them on this thread this evening. I really hope he’s at peace now.

All I can think about is poor Bear, poor Cheryl having to tell their son the news. He’s the same age as my son, I couldn’t even imagine. heartbreaking

Lots of people on social media blaming Maya for his death.

It's really setting women back that just because someone is famous they can abuse people and it's the woman's fault, the worst thing is it's women who are blaming her.
100% agree ❤ was something similar with that YouTube guy young filly who's being charged with SA! The comments from women saying the girl went back to the hotel she knew they were going to have sex so basically it's her fault 😞 really sets us women back! and comments like no he's a nice guy he wouldn't do that 🤬 makes me sick. These fans believe they know these people on a deeper level when they really don't

To be honest he’s a musician I’d be surprised if he didn’t carry a notebook around. I do just for general life. That’ll just set the whole suicide stuff off now.

Can anyone explain why this news has left me terrified? I wasn’t a big 1D or Liam fan but obviously knew who he was as most people do. But this has left me so unsettled and I have no idea why. Literally read the news last night and when I had to go downstairs to make my baby’s bottle in the night I was actually scared.
Maybe I’m just weird, I can’t explain it 😂

I was thinking also about Niall that he seems relatively normal and happy compared to the rest of them. I wonder what was different for him?
I remember years ago reading that while the rest of the band were having matching tattoos, Niall didn't cave into peer pressure and never got a tattoo. I thought at the time that was very sensible behaviour for an 18 year old in that industry. I think he's just very level headed, brought up grounded and isn't an impulsive personality type.

I really do feel for Louis. His life has been so full of terrible loss. 💔 you can only hope he has a good therapist & coping mechanisms 😖

Hope his family and Cheryl knew before it got released on the news and Twitter. But considering he was apparently on Snapchat 30 minutes ago I doubt it which is awful

The song Angel of My Dreams by Jade really empathises what Liam would have been feeling, an extreme happiness and adrenaline rush through being famous and in the spotlight but as the same time, a puppet who is forced to dance on strings for everyone else. I’ve been feeling quite upset because I remember as a 13 year old waiting for What Makes You Beautiful to debut on YouTube in 2011. It hits home how much we take for granted, our lives, health, friends, family, everything. It’s crazy to think how much I wanted to be famous when I was younger, just to be known and have a “fun life” but honestly it seems shit, even if you pursue singing or acting, the celebrity culture is awful but you’re forced to deal with it because you can’t escape it. And while some people choose that lifestyle, they don’t deserve the crap that it involves, we’re all human and we don’t know when our last day will be.

No they don't. He was an adult in his 30s, responsible for his own actions. It's sad that he didn't get the help he so desperately needed, but this isn't on the media.
it partly is imo whatever he did they pulled apart he went to see Niall in concert he danced and engaged with fans long before Niall even came on stage and he was lambasted for trying to steal the limelight. He could do no right, had he ignored the fans he’d have been slagged off for that too.

Liam was Kate's meal ticket. I doubt she would dump him... but I assume she might of been furious and wanted some time away from him.

Bet it's weird having such a lavish life that vanishes overnight. The videos of them together there doesn't seem to be any chemistry between them.

Maya is going to be in for a bumpy ride. The 1d fans are already commenting all over her tik toks comments like “I hope you’re happy now”.

I watched a video earlier of her saying that he said to her if something happens to him his fans won’t believe her. Wow.

YouTube now literally has a live feed of outside the hotel, I think they’re going to bring the body out. Crowds of people gathered. This is crazy.

It's completely acceptable stop moaning, it's okay to snark on celebs rest of time but not because they are dead, it's actually best time to as they can't sue you.

I don't know him whilst it's sad for his friends and family that's who it should be sad for, People really need to stop wallowing in pity for someone who didn't know they exists death.
Well aren’t you a treat! You haven’t a right to tell people how to feel. A lot of the younger generation grew up and idolised these boys and I think it is totally ok for people to feel upset about it!

I'm having some complicated feelings about this one. On one hand, I feel very sorry for him - he obviously had problems, and I do think he was exploited. He seemed to be genuinely kind to his fans.

On the other, I find that video of him with his girlfriend (where he throws the hat off the table) absolutely chilling. That is one angry, unhappy young man, and I can't imagine what it was like to try to live with him.

I feel so sorry for his son.

I’ve just looked at his girlfriend’s TikTok and my god…she’s so vapid it’s unbelievable. But what struck me was how out of it/unhappy Liam seemed in so many of her videos- this could be me watching them with bias but he really didn’t look good. Like he was just along for the ride. I didn’t get good vibes from the gf.

I don't like all the hate Maya is getting now on Tiktok etc. It's sad Liam has died, I was a 1D fan so I do find it very very sad, however him dying does not make her experience any less real (or not, whatever you believe). It was her experience, her story to tell and if she did suffer abuse, let's not try and silence women. The more it is spoken about the better. It's tragic that Liam died, but it's his own actions that has seen his life end in this way.

The people slagging off the girlfriend for leaving Argentina are pissing me right off. What if she’d stayed and he’d killed her instead of himself in his violent rage? Then they’d all be asking why didn’t she leave an abusive situation.

Poor girl can’t win - just like we can’t discern anything about their relationship from her TikTok videos.

My thoughts are with the poor young boy having to be told that Dad chose drugs/alcohol over being a parent to him. And the woman having to break that news to him and break his heart.

I really don't think he was the person that people wanted him to be in their heads. And the news coverage this morning is too saccharine for my taste.
