It’s still only 30 something hours since he died. It’s not unacceptable for those he knew to be struggling to process and articulate it 🙄
(Thought that Robbie’s post was lovely)

Harry’s post seems less personal than Louis and Zayn. Not dragging him for it but you can tell they weren’t that close. It’s as if he’s said what he’s been expected to say.

Did Niall actually see him at the show a few weeks ago? I imagine it’s hit him quite hard either. He was either the last band mate to see or speak to him, or Liam came to his show and he didn’t see him and now he’s dead.

That’s actually mental that he was posting only half an hour go. How is that even possible? Surely they’d have to declare him deceased and then inform his family, this would take a while. Has it been leaked? Where’s the source from?
That's what's worrying his family may have found out via the media.

People just can’t seem to grasp that tragic things happen to people (even global superstars) and that’s all it is - no big cover up or conspiracy - just a bad situation or bad luck.
you’d think by now, with most recent cases being Jay slater and Nicola bulley that people would realise the most obvious solution is almost always the right one.
Exactly. Occams Razor. Next thing someone on X will be saying he died from the covid vaccine - that's probably already happened as it does with every celeb death now.

I found the recording of the hotel worker really strange. I speak quite good Spanish and it sounded to me like Liam was already dead and the caller knew that, it was my first thought. His tone was off and the fact he explicitly said the way that he was going to die )or had died) and that the police weren't needed, just the medical team, also surely hotel staff can always enter a hotel room?

Maybe he was thrown from the balcony and thats why he landed head first?

Maybe there's a cover up?
No if he was having a mental health crisis on drugs it's common to call just an ambulance. The police can make it worse and they won't know what he's consumed or have access to medical equipment. Calling an ambulance is good practice I would have got the police for back up though but very just in case. Police can make people more agitated
I don't think it was in any a coverup , hes had suicidal thoughts before when high.

I know it's not the same situation, but after Matthew Perry's passing, I do worry Liam will eventually suffer the same fate. He really needs to get his drug and drink issues under control before it's too late
Feeling very sad that just a year after Matthew Perry’s death, this unfortunately ended up being true. Rest in peace Liam 💔

I fear for him. It's one piece of bad luck, following another all the time and weird not normal behaviour. I hope he has amazing people around him and gets well because at the moment if he was found dead I wouldn't be shocked at the news.

Poor Cheryl. I hear she's been working tirelessly behind the scenes to try and clean him up.

Very sad but not entirely shocking.
The past few months on social media people have been ripping him apart, which was probably deep down quite crushing for him (not excusing his behaviour, but there are YouTube videos really attacking him)
Even 'celebrities' like Munya Chawawa...(Don't know his full name) did pretty horrendous impressions of him recently too. Yes some of the stuff he said was cringe, but a lot of people took it too far imo.

I wasn't a Boyzone fan, but when Stephen died and the rest of the band went to collect him and bring him home, then spent the night in the church with him prior to his funeral, it made me see them all in a different light. They were genuinely brothers who loved him.
They really were, especially I think because he was the youngest. It was really touching.
The press were awful insinuating all sorts of reasons for his death too
No surprise there, and he died of natural causes.

I'm from Dublin, not the area he grew up, but where he grew up wouldn't have a great reputation. At the time my sister worked just around the corner from there and could see the church from her office. She said the whole community was out for days getting the place ready for him coming home and making sure the church was ready. They did him proud.

Why is fame glamourised...it sounds awful to me, I've always said is absolutely hate to be famous.
I feel like the tide is finally turning on ‘celeb culture’. Not because of this sad incident but in general the celebrity world seems to be getting more and more exposed for the seediness that it is.

I feel so awfully, awfully sad. Some celebrities deaths really cut deep and I can't stop thinking about Bear :'( Whatever you think of Cheryl, her position is unimaginable right now. Liam had demons no doubt, but he didn't deserve this, addiction is a thoroughly evil disease and anyone who thinks it's a choice is lucky enough to not have been truly touched by it, if they really think that's the case. I feel so upset for Louis right now too, he has faced so much loss in his life already, and now this. Life is such a fucking bitch.

After you’ve had such success what do you do with the rest of your life?
you’ve all the money in the world but (no pun intended) no direction. We all need to feel useful, have purpose. He didn’t anymore and that’s got to be hard.
you’ve all the fame so can’t do a normal job, you can’t be normal.

Another problem is people have valid concerns about something and the idiots use it to shut down discussion. And sometimes people shouldn't be kind to some people.
And so many celebs use it as an excuse to be irresponsible and foul. When someone pulls them up on it they’re all “Be Kind”

Phillip Schofield tried it. It diminishes the meaning behind it.

This may be an unpopular point of view but I find it nauseating people saying ‘poor Cheryl’. Yes it is not going to be easy breaking that news to their son BUT they split a long time ago not last week. She moved her mum into HIS house and forced him out. She’s got what she wanted. A child without the need to now co-parent. I have no doubt she tried to support but in my opinion, she’s not blameless and does not deserve pity. Save that for his friends, family and son
She did the same in her first marriage, moved her Mam in. Such an odd set up. I’ve no time for her, racist ar**hole.

Louis & Zayn wrote such lovely tributes and added really lovely photos of them with Liam. Harry's read like a standard PR statement, which is fine, they obviously weren't close. But his, or his PR, choice of picture annoyed me. The color has to match his Instagram aesthetic and it's of the back of Liam's head... So it could be anyone really. It's like they didn't want to tarnish Harry's Instagram aesthetic with a picture reminder of 1D. That's so disrespectful. Just don't post anything at all then
If all you get from that photo is the back of Liam's head then you don't get the meaning of it. Scratch beneath the surface. ALL the focus is on Liam, the audience in the stadium and ours too looking at the photo as he's performing in his happy place.

I had a soft spot for Liam. For a time he & Cheryl lived in Surrey not far from me (but in a posh part) and locals who saw him out and about said he was a pleasant & friendly guy. RIP Liam.
