Regardless of who is he or how it happened - that’s somebody’s young son and a little boys daddy. Absolutely heartbreaking for all those involved. I have just watched the clip of Scott Mills today and it’s broke me. Not a fan of One Direction and never was, but the fact a little boy has lost his daddy is just so so sad.

I know a lot are speculating he took his own life but in the TMZ photos - where the tent is, it literally looks like it’s in the middle of a restaurant? Surely someone’s not gonna purposely jump into a restaurant where people are?
Editing to say I guess if you are out your brain on alcohol & drugs then you wouldn’t care!

So the story from someone who works at the hotel was he wanted to go in the pool but was told no as he was clearly intoxicated. He kicked off & got escorted back to his room - this is where the telephone call happens and they are concerned he will try and jump from the balcony (he didn’t want to be in the room). He smashes things up in his room and says he’ll jump into the pool, clearly someone with full capacity would know how stupid that is, he dives off the balcony and clearly doesn’t make it to the pool. This is why he’s head first & explains such a horrendous head injury.

Very sad and unfortunately it’s been quite obvious for a few weeks he’s been manic & on something. Really horrible for everyone involved I’m sure.

In fairness to the 1D lads whether they grew apart or not. They’re the only 5 lads in the world who have experienced One Direction. I remember when Left Eye died and TLC were saying we fought like sisters but we were still sisters.

Never been a 1d fan- I'm abit too old really......but this is absolutely shocking. 31 is way too young and all I can think about is little Bear. I can't imgaine being Cheryl right now and having to tell him that Daddy has gone. I hope they both have lots of support and love around them. As a mum it just breaks my heart for them both.
He's obviously been struggling, you see it alot in child stars and it's the ultimate price. The guy needed a lot of help and he was a tortured soul. I really hope he's at peace now, and I hope anyone who's struggling now might see this and see how tragic and senseless it is, and that they ask for help or someone to talk to before it's too late for them.
Really, really sad.

From Mayas book he has form for going bat shit on coke and threatening to throw himself off a balcony. After this incident he chased Maya with an axe and his team sent him to rehab.
I believe everything she says and he chose to do crack again knowing what it does to him. Selfish man leaving his son without a dad.

I’m not sure it’s entirely fair (or right) to say he chose to do crack again. Drug addiction is such a serious complicated issue. It fucks with your ability to make rational decisions - it is an illness, one that ultimately kills most people. Addicts don’t choose that life.

I know this sounds a bit ridiculous, but i feel like this news has hit me hard even though I've never been a 1D fan. I think it's because my own son who is only 9 and has AuDHD is already showing signs that I think he will struggle with his mental health. i find this like this just make me so worried for what the future holds.

I completely understand. Not to merail but my sons father attempted suicide last year, and the night we were waiting to see if he would pull through was the worst night of my life. The thought of telling my son that his dad had died was the absolute worst feeling in the world. I really can not stop thinking of Cheryl and how she is dealing with this. Ive been separated from my sons dad for 10+ years but it still was fucking horrible. My son is 14 and is now undergoing therapy for his poor mental health and dark thoughts. Life is fucking hard lots of love to everyone.

clonazepam can be used for downers as after a heavy coke binge to fall asleep. He was a very heavy drug user. I honestly think it's a tragic accident and wasn't in his right mind. I don't think any foul play just too many drugs.

I don’t actually envy them the travel, because as much as I’d love to travel more, I don’t think they actually got to see many places outside of hotel rooms, stadiums, planes and tour buses. They could never leave their hotels because the crowds outside would be off the scale insane and waiting for them. I’m sure it used to be reported that they had to have hotel floors reserved for just them for security reasons. As they’ve said themselves, they were cooped up in hotel rooms with little to do other than drink from the mini bars and room service

Why is fame glamourised...it sounds awful to me, I've always said is absolutely hate to be famous.
