I hate the whole spin of bullied to death crap. By all accounts, he was off his face and jumped the balcony, not in his right mind, probably thought he’d survive. It wasn’t suicide. Just because he’s famous doesn’t mean he’s above reproach and shouldn’t be held accountable for his actions. There’s far too much smoke without fire, not just his ex girlfriend. A young man is dead, which is a tragedy but this framing it as something else does no favors.

Holy shit. He was one of those people where it was a bit like watching a car crash in slow motion. You could almost see it coming. How fckn sad it came true.

His life just took a really sad turn didn’t it. He seemed so lost.

He’s clearly been heading this way for a long time. I think Zayn was too but he seems to have been able to pull himself together.

I can’t imagine why on earth anyone would want to be famous.

For people to say they feel sorry for Bear to have a dad who chose drink and drugs over him. Terrible way to look at it, it’s a cruel disease and a family disease at that not only does it affect the user but has affects on the whole family. It unfortunately took hold of him, he wasn’t mentally strong enough to fight the addiction and yes people may say he’s a twat etc but he’s someone’s son, brother, father. Tragic that it seems to be drug induced psychosis that took his young life.

Ahh yes, because there are only two options. Stay silent and say nothing to anyone, or give a public interview over Teams that will be released for the whole world to see.
You said she should be the bigger person. Why? He wasn’t?

Men need to be called out for this behaviour, and if you can do that on the world stage all the better to make it known. Does that mean I don’t think he should have had support with his problems? Of course not. But frankly she did nothing wrong by calling him out.

These parasocial relationships are so unhealthy IMO and shouldn’t be applauded.
can you imagine the pressure of a complete stranger coming up to you, and filming you whilst another tells you that they’re only alive because of you? Imagine if that happened to you?
chapell roan was being torn apart recently for making that point but i completely agree with both her and you. aside from the parasocial-ness of it all, the fan is basically trauma dumping on a complete stranger who may not be in any mental capacity to hear that. there’s a similar video with daniel radcliffe at the stage door going through a similar interaction and i don’t know how you (as the celeb) deal with that kind of thing on a day to day basis for years. the absolute emotional weight of it.

An interesting line in the Daily Mail about the girlfriend who was supposed to stay in Argentina for 5 days, but ended up staying for two weeks before then leaving saying on TikTok “'I was just like, I need to go home,'

Reading between the lines, did she see him, realise how bad things were for him and extend her stay before realising that he needed much more help than she could give? His behaviour at nialls concert was so unsettling. That wasn’t just drink.

Either way, very sad that he or those around him couldn’t get him the help he so obviously needed.
I agree it's so sad and his behaviour has been so unsettling and alarming for a while now.
It seems alot of people will feel they let him down or have some sort of 'blame' put on them. But unless an addict is willimg to help themselves, there is nothing anyone can do. His mental health issues and drug abuse was a lethal combination and has ended the same way as many other people. It's a tale as old as time unfortunately.
I really think there should be more safeguarding for younger stars. We have seen it all before haven't we? Those who are spend their youth in the limelight pay the price. Things could have been so different for Liam had he not been in the limelight. Was any of it worth it? I bet if he was here now he would say only Bear was worth it.
I'm beyond upset for Cheryl and Bear- 7 and without a daddy, no one wants to have that conversation with their child. I just can't stop thinking about Bear and sending love his way.

Why did none of the lads mention Cheryl in their statements? I know they weren’t together but surely as the mother of his child she deserved a mention alongside him and his family..
in the same way I’d hope no one would mention my ex if I died.

Maya is already being blamed and abused from all angles.
I swear to the heavens if this turns into another mardy Caroline Flack bullshit for him...🙄

He is a grown man, did some (accused/alleged) terrible things, was notably off his face on drugs or drink, possibly both & then did something stupid, ultimately ending his life.

Thoughts are with Bear. No idea if he saw his father a lot, but a father is still your father.
For while he sleeps tonight, he still has a dad.

Oh, Liam! How horribly, horribly sad. Went on the show as a young lad hoping to have the life of his dreams and it led him here. Just tragic all round. And atrocious that someone called the press and took pictures of him. This is someone’s son.

I just can’t imagine having to tell a 7 year old his dad is dead😭 No amount of money in the bank will replace that.
I’ve had to tell my 7 year old his dad was dead. I know this will sound horrible but as I was his primary carer and he wasn’t used to seeing his dad daily, he was for want of a better word, fine. We’d had a very consistent weekly routine of contact for years but at the end of the day, kids are resilient especially when they have a safe and secure base with the parent they live with and that’s the parent doing all the day to day stuff.

Quoting a Daily Fail article here but from the lifestyle seen in the media, it’s probably not far from the truth

“…he tried to see Bear regularly, his unpredictable lifestyle frequently made this impossible. Instead, Cheryl was largely left to bring up the little boy alone with the help of her mother Joan…”

My son’s dad was his hero when he was 7 but over the years, he’s had to come to terms with understanding his dad’s lifestyle choices and drug use that caused his death. I’ve given him a very stable upbringing and he had lots of support in his bereavement. Cheryl will be able to access therapists and whatever help is needed

I will say that as a mum, my heart was literally broken for my little boy and even though his dad was my ex, I grieved for him for a very long time. It was the most traumatic experience of my life thus far.

I feel for Cheryl that the timeline of what she tells her son about his dad’s death will be influenced by the fact he was in the public eye and worry that he’ll hear things at school about his dad using drugs and other things a child that young won’t fully understand

Liam was Kate's meal ticket. I doubt she would dump him... but I assume she might of been furious and wanted some time away from him.

Bet it's weird having such a lavish life that vanishes overnight. The videos of them together there doesn't seem to be any chemistry between them.
I’m seeing a lot about Kate now on TikTok and my goodness, she comes across (not sure if she means to) cold and detached, spoilt and rotten. She was a waitress when she met Liam, now she’s got posing as everyone’s favourite lazy beggar job, influencer. It’s obvious it’s all Liam’s money though as her views aren’t enough to be making bank. Everything is expensive clothes, trips, hair and coffee. I don’t think she ever planned on being a step mum to Bear or involving him in their lives hence the moving to Miami, doesn’t seem like Liam minded the difference either. She will struggle now, unmarried so she won’t get a penny and people will lose interest in her “influencing” now liams out the picture. I imagine she will do some grief posts for a while but it won’t sustain. Also, she’s the oldest looking 25 year old I’ve ever seen. At least Maya tried to help Liam, Kate just seemed to roll with it and prefer it when he was out of it cos she could do what she wanted

Does anyone know what this circling vulture, who is trying to be relevant, is alluding to. Katie, either piss or get off the pot. Her statement doesn't sit easy with me. Too soon, think of his family.
Katie Waissel always came across as desperate for fame and attention, with very little talent.

I just hope the drugs meant he was that out of it he didnt know what was happening. Though i'd imagine from Third floor would be quick
Argentina news has reported that the police were called already before this happened because he had overdosed and had passed out in reception so they were called.

a cleaner said this

I don't think any public figure including bandmates should 'have to' make a statement and be criticised for not doing so. For all we know they could be expressing condolences and offering support to the family privately, which is far more meaningful.
