The trouble with Marina is that either she is rather dim or she assumes her followers are or both. She retweets this from the specialist in failure who is James O'Briens favourite lawyer. Yet we all know both of them were screaming for more PPE at the time.

By all means attack the government where it is wrong but this is frankly embarrassing after what Jolyon and Marina called for.

I heard some of Marina's show a week or so back and conclude that she appears to have more speaking power than thinking power.

Look at the state of this thread from Sangita. You've got to go some when you use the death of a highly suspicious, vile, supposed arms dealer to have a go at the government.

Proper journalism there
The London-based media gobshites, sorry 'political/social commentators' are essentially people who are unemployable in any other field of work and/or feel that actually having a job is somehow beneath them. They are FAR to clever, witty and erudite to actually WORK, in a JOB. Oh, heaven forbid. 9-to-5? Oh PURLEEEEZ; It's all drinks-parties, book launches, literary festivals and talking tours. What's utterly laughable is that almost all of them have next to nothing in common with the people who they broadcast to. They live in a bubble of bollocks.

According to Wiki she took up political commentary after her snarky rants about Brexit on Twitter gained her a lot of followers. But she does have a degree in Marketing from Portsmouth University. Watch out Marr, Kuensberg, Myrie, Neil, Peston etc.!
This is what drives me mad. She's no more qualified to talk about politics than I am and now we're all supposed to listen to her pearls of wisdom. So many of these types flooding social and mainstream media now. Maybe if I send enough tweets I'll get to do a show on LBC.

Here is Steve Allen's FINAL SHOW on LBC. In 1994 () before it became London News and London News Talk !!

Sangita gets absolutely destroyed in that thread.

There was a much more interesting response here. The only issue I have is that I think one should give relatives and friends a bit of time to grieve before you go on the attack.

David Mellor making moral and ethical judgements on others is a bit fucking rich.

Ditto Alistair Campbell constantly telling us that the current government are a bunch of liars.
Campbell scares me. I think he might be a bonefide pyschopath.

I gave James 10 mins. Slagging off Rishi ... for, er, donating 3m quid (of his and his wifes own money) to a college in the US. Really? Oh how James must miss his great love, Boris.

Colin Brazier didn't stay long in the late night slot. A top class journalist and presenter, but he never sounded particularly comfortable on the radio, maybe he was more at home on TV?

Who do we think will get the gig? Ben Kentish is covering this week, could it be his turn for a permanent weekday slot? Ali Miraj perhaps? Marina Purkiss to fire things up a bit ! Or someone brand new to the LBC airwaves?

Why not The Huw Edwards? Once he has "recovered" of course from his MH "crisis". He'd be at home on the 10pm slot and would be reunited with some media luvvies..
