About Uni, that reminds me of a question I had. I had always assumed she had Greek dual citizenship because of her mother's family. I assumed bc she was in Europe well past Schengen timelines. But then I thought if not, maybe she got a permit to stay for autonomous work (lots of bloggers and freelancers tend to have them eventually.) Well, in her interview with Atty Cappecchi about visas, she said she has spent so much money on student visas and language courses all these years! And how it was a struggle to stay in Italy. I'm confused, lol.

Her Italian is very good but at the same time I hate when she speaks it. She puts on an entirely different personality and uses this shouty voice. And all of the "ah SÌ??? Ah SÌ?? drive me mad. Either do the videos all in Italian or Eng and put subs like everyone else, or quit wasting time drawing the video out saying the same sentence twice.

Absolutely, this. The first video I saw, the tripping over rubble, the lip biting and hair flipping, shout-talking in this way.. I immediately thought of Apollonia screeching the days of the week in The Godfather before the car blows up.

Her filmmaking is so gorgeous and her content (renovations, cooking, insights into Italian language) is so beautiful that I really wonder what's wrong with her, that she would put on all these pretentious affectations. Her accent in English is purely ridiculous. And I know I'm repeating myself, but good GOD I cannot stand all this lip-biting and smizing. It's painful! Why on earth does she do it??

I don't know what to say about her age unless we see her passport lol. But honestly, I think her skin is quite sun damaged which probably does not help. Her family are boating types, who I have always found a bit "rugged." Her acting like an old Italian housewife doesn't help her either. Lol. That said with her clapping and jumping she also seems like an adolecent! Haha

Absolutely, this. The first video I saw, the tripping over rubble, the lip biting and hair flipping, shout-talking in this way.. I immediately thought of Apollonia screeching the days of the week in The Godfather before the car blows up.

I don't get it either, the baby voice is the worst, it's cringe anyway but especially when a 30 plus year old woman does it. I'm glad I found this thread because every time I watch her videos and read her comments, I think to myself surely I am not the only one who thinks she is becoming more and more ridiculous, but then I guess that's why she doesn't have more followers. You wold never see anything remotely critical in the comments anyway as they are just deleted.

Thanks whoever started this thread - I've been here a couple of days like most of this sprinkling of Tatlers & seems to be gathering momentum as we have a place to comment wthout being deleted - eat your heart out Kylie ! We all seem to be annoyed & puzzled by the same things - the timeline for starters packed with living/working/travelling in several countries plus a degree, head of a publishing company, film producer, found time to write that 600 page book at 20 etc etc. and still not 30. She says she's only slept 3 hours a night for 10 years to achieve her dreams. Absolute minimum I'd say for all that, though if we take things down a notch, her time in Japan was as an exchange student at school, the publishing job was work experience, the degree was in film studies & probably involved credits as she finshed It in between trips to Spain and Italy.
She Is certainly ambitious and ruthless to succeed as a film maker - I believed her spiel about not drinking because It would stop her work ethic & being fresh for the boyfriend (ugh).
Certainly the determination has paid off as I think we all agree on the quality of her vlogs and yet... she herself has become almost an embarassment to watch, narcissitic and casting herself as the perfect heroine in Italian 50s style films with the clipped accents to match .
Loving the comments here without running the quotes again, eg tripping over the rubble , the lip biting, the 'ah sì chats with any and everyone, specially rife on holiday this Summer..even shouting up to workmen on scaffolding. Plus the attitude 'you guys owe me a living for all this work & the time It takes me & the expense ' looking straight into the camera bla bla. Btw, where did she say she met Guido online? Intriguing- Tindr or what?

No mention of her other accomplishments and credits for film, direction, hosting, producing for Nat Geo, etc. Again, I find it odd. Let’s not forget her chef training, which is an evening course at Barilla Academia in Parma.
My sleuthing did not deliver the name of Guido’s family farm. I even tried reverse image search. She mentions it is two hours south of Florence. Well, that would put you into Lazio, not Tuscany. Even if you went all the way to Grosseto. Don’t ask why I even care. But I’m somewhat suspicious that some of the footage is clever editing, to her credit.

She hasn't said yet as far as I know. Like countless others he probably slipped into her DMs. Lol. I assume she mentioned to her patrons about meeting him online since several seemed to know this in her video comments. We'll see.

I had seen some of Kylie's videos a few years back, then forgot about her. Last March she popped up again during lockdown and I binge watched a bunch of videos, progressively more annoying. So glad you are all here! Lol. There was nothing else about her online that I found.

He is on FB where there is a photo of him in 2019 with a Koala Bear ... maybe he met Kylie in Australia? One of the things he likes is a Wedding Planning Service - could that be relevant. His mother is also on FB her name is Diana Ghezzi Galli Tassi.

I don't get why she doesn't monetise her youtube content, it is insane how much time she claims to take editing imo. how could someone stay healthy on only 3 hours sleep for such a long time?!

At first, I was skeptical it was him. The tilt of his eyebrows, the fullness of his beard covers the dimple in his chin, the point of his nose. Three years can change a man and men are subject to greater change, usually more than women. Also, Villa I Lami is not the same agriturismo in her renovation films.
However, I did learn that the family has another farm rental near Florence...Villa I Lami.
So yes, this is him and his mother is a dentist!

The farm estate in the films is Chiesa di Santa Maria a Colle di Lupo in Magliano which is 2 hours southwest of Florence, close to the sea and Grosseto. I thank you for your effort and this lead to locating the estate.

Wait I meant to say, that is Guido but that is the current villa in Scandicci, not the one under heavy restoration. It's the family residence as well. No idea where the one under heavy restauration "2 hours away" might be. She once mentioned the sea not far so I assume near Grosseto.

@emm Thanks so much for starting this thread. I've watched Kylie Flavell for a while and began to find her increasingly annoying but I've now decided that I find her hilarious.

I don't think I am her target audience (ie someone who will become a Patreon to allow her to keep filming a romanticized depiction of life in Italy) but I still enjoy the pretty bits and laugh at the rest. Guido is not that into her but she doesn't know or care.

Like everyone else I really liked her content and cinematography but her timeline really confused me and doesn't fit.
Also Guido.. The speed of that relationship was olympic! From meeting him to moving in and renovating his bathroom was so quick I thought I had fallen asleep for 6 months!
We didn't see him for quite a while, so with all my perceived ideas I thought he would be ineffectual or inadequate and loved bombed by Kylie... She doesn't seem to come up for air in between "love affairs".

Reading the info kindly linked above, it appears his family are experienced in renovating old properties for self accommodation. In the chicken coop Guido said they were appealing to the local or rather Italian market, not international.
Why did Kylie argue back constantly about the placement of windows, furniture, structure everything really, when Guido and his family seem very experienced in it all.
They might regret involving her. Lol

Talking about her money woes, remember she rented a boat and crew to stay on during Cannes film festival. That didn't come cheap certainly not in Cannes and definitely not during the film festival..

It's lightning fast for Italian men, especially. I went looking through her IG and it seems they started dating around Nov 2019 (mysterious pics of dinner parties started appearing and much more Tuscany in general). I always had the idea they moved in together due to Covid. She was def at the villa in March. I mentioned in an earlier post that in one video she talked about meeting the 'love of her life' in Cannes, jumping on the back of his motorbike and moving to Monte Carlo with whoever he was. Seems like she is very.....intense? To be honest I also think she talks a good game and knows just what to tell people and how to act.
