Morning all. I'm awake, dressed, bloody cold outside but I sit here with a cup of coffee I just
made for myself.

MrsCranky save your goose grease for your roast potatoes and try some thermal underwear.

Does anybody ever sing to their cat? I was telling mine he’s a beautiful boy. Good job he’s not vain, just like water off a gooses back!

Whenever I watch old TV you can guess the age of the programme from the mobile phones. They did an exhibition of mobile phones and the first purported model was like an army field telephone, it was huge!

Pinksquirrel I hope your daughter enjoys using her new machine. I’m a self taught sewist and not very good so I wouldn’t be much good teaching her. However, there are lots of videos online available and books, so there is help out there.

if we had real St Bernard, I have a feeling dad would be treating it like Stan does in the film, where he gets drunk on the brandy in his barrel and pretends to be ill!

I know that all too well, back in the early days of the mobile phone, one phone was like an army field phone, just a car phone hooked up to a huge battery. I use to transport them, really heavy unit's. Also back then, the batteries in the phones were Nicad batteries which didn't last long mainly due to people not charging them properly for the first time. I spent a lot of time delivering batteries to morons!

Worse memory was delivering a mobile phone and I was given £1000 CASH to take back to "London Car Telephones" I was shitting myself because I had never carried so much cash in my life.

BREAKING NEWS!!

I have had a letter informing me that I will have a phone consultation THIS FRIDAY.

What does this suggest? possibly NOT cancer?

If there's nothing on the biopsy maybe they'll just say that on the phone call. But they may want an MRI, see what that shows. That's what happened to me. Biopsy was explained to me like fishing, just cos you don't catch a fish, doesn't mean there are no fish.

That or a CT scan which they can compare to my previous scans, no matter what I'm quite sure the lump will have
to be removed sooner rather than later.

I would like to add that my Mother spoke to a family friend who is a retired nurse who thinks that getting a phone
consultation this Friday is positive but can't entirely rule out something very nasty.

@MrsEms - massive hug from me, just put your wine glass down first ♥ ♥ ♥ 🤗🤗🤗🤗

If they decide it's a lymph gland they might leave it. Is your local hospital good, I asked to be referred to a different hospital, where I knew the head and neck team were very good.

I'm dealing with East Surrey Hospital, possible I could be shifted to Crawley hospital, no matter what I'm in good
hands because I've had 3 operations before at East Surrey over the years.

I'm really pleased that you have had at least written contact now and that you have been given a phone consultation. That sounds positive to me. Positive thoughts to you my lovely🤗

It's good that you trust them, our local hospital was bad, the Kent & Sussex, known locally as the Kent & Snuffit. 😳 No way I was getting done there.
