She’s defo trying to get into politics id say. When she came on crying, I genuinely thought she lost a limb. She was hysterical nearly. Strange to pull out a camera and think this is a great opportunity for insta

It’s hilarious how many are posting about the met gala & Palestine when they were wetting themselves over the VIP awards last week 😂😂😂😂😂😂 at least the MET had celebrities

Niamho is a gowl. She was doing Zara hauls not to long ago 😂😂
Not to mention all her stories about irish dancing, trying to get olivia rodrigo tickets and the olivia rodrigo concert itself, and the relationship posts. Unfortunately the world doesn't stop for war/ genocide. Just wait until she learns about the extreme inequality and poverty , genital mutilation and violence against women that exists in parts of the world. If she truly cares so much about Palestine, why doesn't she go to any of the marches/protests? Social media activists (people that only post about things on their stories/feeds for attention/validation but never go beyond that to make a difference) annoy me. Not to be a negative nancy, but unless its for an election/referendum (eg the Women of the 8th FB page in 2018) , posting on social media about causes or not posting about the Met Gala isnt going to help the people of Palestine or make a difference. People across the world know of whats happening already. Israel themselves are probably aware that many countries and people support Palestine. As someone with an avid interest in politics, I think more pressure needs to be put on the UN and International Criminal Court, as well as economic sanctions on Israel. No wonder shes so supportive of Sinn Fein - all shouting but no substance.

These are the kinds of conversations you should be having with your friends, in private gc's - not strangers online. I think there is a lot more going on than she is letting on right now her behaviour is strange. One minute she's up in arms over wars and the irish language the next she's promoting cheap material more than likely produced by children in sweat shops in a war torn country but where's your sympathy there kneevo? Screams she had a fight with Elmo and all is not well and because she's unaware of how to handle her emotions its poured over into a common trend and I hate to say it but the met gala vs Palestine and the Eurovision vs Palestine pseudo arguments happening are trends. New things to cry about and pretend you give a duck about will happen tomorrow.

Here kneevo you paid 100k over asking, use some of your other spare change, to support the people in war torn countries.

Her whinging last night about her appointment….all I’m hearing is “I’m a narcissistic little witch that has paid privately for a diagnosis so I now can shoehorn my way into a different segment of society and wear it like a badge of honour and have an excuse for why I’m lazy, behave myself on line or in public and everyone has to have sympathy for me because I’m nEuRoDiVeRgEnT” (seems to be her new buzz word she must have found while researching characteristics and “stimming” techniques before her app……

What a bleeping travesty…..so many actual neurodivergent people are astounding in their lives and jobs, they educate about the lack of resources particularly for autism and education then you’ve this wan that will 100% use it as a “cause” probably to convince herself why she needs to be in politics again 🤦🏻‍♀️

Posting about Palestine and the met AGAIN and instantly after, “Any nail techs” like she can’t use Google……..Alex must wear those Loop things everyone has these days to avoid listening to her

Sure she didn't go on the march for Palestine in Dublin because she had a nail appointment so it's not really that important to her

She said after she had her second autism assessment so that makes sense to me now, I'd say that's why she got upset so easily and was unregulated. More to do with that.

I’m late diagnosed autistic and adhd through the HSE and I can’t even begin to explain the trauma of being undiagnosed for so long, I started out doing a group for skills and it was through that the psychologist picked up on my behaviour (I never went seeking a diagnosis). In my assessment (which took the guts of over a year and a half with meetings every single week), they weren’t allowed to say anything until it was reviewed by a specialist, they weren’t even allowed to hint at it because autism and adhd have similar symptoms to other conditions, I had to have a IQ test, my partner and family members brought in for them to speak to my psychologist face to face and hear about what I was like as a child/at home etc. It genuinely feels like a slap in the face to see niamh saying she’s autistic after basically paying for a diagnosis and only had her second assessment. Not to mention the fake stimming she done for the FIRST TIME EVER on her first TikTok about it. It’s disgusting.

I know a bit about the private process for autism and ADHD diagnosis here so just wanted to clear this one up. You absolutely don't get a diagnosis because you've paid for it. Most people want to find out what's wrong with them and it can be a relief, but you pay private to get seen due to the waiting lists of YEARS on public, not because it means they'll automatically diagnose you as neuro divergent. That's not ethical and it's just not how it works.

I believe she likely is neurodivergent. My ex and current boyfriend have ADHD and my niece and best friend both have autism. I've seen how much it can affect the person growing up not knowing what's wrong with them, feeling like something is wrong and the emotional pain it causes and the destructive effect it can have on their lives and relationships. She is often referred to as lazy but this can also be a symptom of these conditions. It's very much to do with overwhelm and anxiety and an inability to stay organized rather than simple laziness.

I also understand why she would want to use her platform to speak about it. When you struggle with something for years and finally have a name for it, it changes your whole world (I've experienced this with both a mental and a physical condition). And it's something you want to share with people who might be struggling like you did. I get that her motives may be questionable, but as it's a genuine condition I really do not see the problem. It can only do good to get more people talking about it.

Niamh isn't likeable to many because of her past and how she lives her life. I get that. I didn't know much about her until she stopped doing OF, but I did see the tail end of it and a lot of the Tiktok wars she used to be on in hysterics etc. But this is a young woman who grew up in a rough home environment without much support and made some bad decisions (or arguably perhaps not if the pics online forever and opinions don't actually bother her and if she made her money).

A lot of the dislike towards her now seems to be because she changes her mind on what she wants to do and her opinions quite a lot. Did we not all do that in our 20s? Bear in mind, a turbulent childhood can also mean you're playing catch up emotionally so she may only really be getting to understand who she is now, and that includes the diagnosis. And what else.. people don't like that she stays up late and sleeps late? I mean, who cares? I do the same as I'm a night owl, work better at night, have a chronic illness that means mornings suck for me, and I'm a 38 year old woman with a career. I guarantee you no-one judges me for my sleeping habits. She also has a career as an influencer, much as it seems to pain a lot of people, she's making the move over and she might just make it happen.

She has some growing to do. But she's trying. She gets credit for that in my book.

Before anyone says I know her, I don't. I'm a grown woman, no fan girl, and I've no connections whatsoever with her aside from following her socials. But honestly I just feel she gets a hard time and wanted to give my input based on my exp of the diagnosis assessment. If she was my wee sis I'd just want to give her a hug and tell her she's doing her best and that's enough.

I don't think so. I'm not looking for a rave thread, just to clarify a misconception that private = automatic diagnosis.
I didn’t say she got an automatic diagnosis because she paid privately, she gave it to herself after the first app and then posted a fake stimming video. Scroll above and see a poster actually describe the lengthy process you seem to be “informed” about….

I am informed about it. I had to fill in forms about my nieces childhood during her assessment. The other poster went public. Private obviously moves faster.

I doubt privately diagnosis in 1/2 sessions regardless how much faster it is. It’s insulting to anyone going any route for a diagnosis to be claiming you’re something immediately after a first app. So if anything, get onto kneevo to clarify the misconceptions she’s giving out.

In the first session I attended with my niece, which is usually with a regular doctor (this can vary though, but that's how it was in my exp), you bring along your forms (filled in by someone who was around you growing up) and they can give you general indicator on whether you meet the criteria. If you do, you're referred on to the psychiatrist for the second and third session. In the second session they did tell my niece that she was autistic and the third session was more about explaining what level she was at and developing a plan of care for her. The sessions were all about 2 months apart.

Not trying to piss anyone off and you can ignore the rest of my commentary about Niamh. But that is how private assessments work. It's faster because it's private, but it's very thorough.

Admittedly I know very little about autism

However, I just had a quick Google –

Common signs of autism in adults include:

  • getting very anxious about social situations – Kneevo is incapable of going to the doctor when she needs to/making phone calls/ dealing with the lady from the letting agents. Doesn't work.
  • finding it hard to make friends or preferring to be on your own – Kneevo spends a lot of time alone and at home
  • finding it hard to say how you feel – Kneevo is constantly giving long winded rants that go nowhere and never stay on topic
  • having the same routine every day and getting very anxious if it changes – This is Kneevo all over – seems to stay in bed late in the day and stays up late at night, eats mostly the same food everyday and does the same things daily.
  • having a very keen interest in certain subjects or activities – Kneevo becomes obsessed with things quickly – Irish dancing, politics, gaming etc.

What was the stimming that she did?
Rocking back and forth and the way she was picking at her hands in a way she’s never done before. It just all seemed very performative when those are behaviours she’s never filmed before and suddenly she’s stimming in a video about autism
