They work for the NHS carrying out all sorts of reconstructions and remedial work. Some leave and set-up clinics in the private sector. The difference is NHS surgeons are generally working with the sick. Clinics are working on an aesthetic basis only. If I ever had surgery which I won't I would not use anyone who was not a member of the FRCS (Plas). If you pay cheap you will pay twice or not at all as Skany does and live to regret it. I would think it highly unlikely that plastic surgery is monitored in anyway in Turkey or eastern europe where these clinics seem to abound.
