When I did a show at local theatre there was a tv screen above the audience that we could see from the stage. It showed the musical director in the orchestra pit. You could see her head and shoulders and she could count you in to when song started or dance changed. Not exactly a prompt but helped with timings

If Kieran tried to pick Bunny up from school what would happen? Surely he's entitled as the father?

He MAY be entitled ( not sure, not speculating), however, if as @WillowTree21 has intimated, the kids have been brainwashed into thinking he doesn't want them as has new family, how do you think they would feel if he just turned up at school and tried to take them? They'd be confused, probably scared, angry, it just wouldn't work. As keeps being said, it has to be done through the right channels, it may well make matters worse if he did this, emotionally at the least.

Skank is a protected species, by whom, and why, a lot of people would like to know. Kieran at best will probably only ever get 50/50 custody.
