Harvey is entitled to full time education until he’s 25 if he’s got an EHCP, so he won’t be ‘coming home’ any time soon. You get an annual review every year and any changes to placements, care plan etc. get discussed then and the EHCP gets amended.

I remember a few years back when my son (20 at the time), my younger two, and I were in an Airbnb. We had booked a property with three bedrooms. My youngest two were going to share, and my eldest and I would have the remaining rooms. On arrival, the owner told us that she would need to relocate us as the booked property was out of service (I didn't ask, probably had a visitor like KFP, and it was trashed).

Anyhow, we accepted the offered property (with a generous discount, it appealed, as I'm Scottish) and when the younger two were tucked up and fast asleep, we went to lie on the bed to watch television as the TV in the sitting room was tiny, the futon was uncomfortable. We were fully dressed, and the bed was a super king. I have fond memories of us watching back-to-back Friday night dinner and when it got to 1 am, eldest retreated and slept on the futon. I remember recounting this story to my dear old Mum who was HORRIFIED that we were lying in the same bed together. I told her we were fully clothed, lying on top of the bed, and it was just like a comfy sofa. She still didn't budge in her opinion and told me not to tell a soul. Imagine what old Hattie (aka Mum) would have to say about KFP!
