Your comment has reminded me of a placement I did many years ago at a supported housing unit for young people with special needs and what you say is so true. I was a student nurse and remember one young woman who stripped off and when I tried to help her dress she ran out o to the street and up the road naked. A couple of us went after her and it took a long time to get her back inside again. We couldn't make her if she didn't want to just had to be patient and use our wits. Some of the group were unexpectedly incontinent and all we could do was persuade them to get into the bath or get changed.
