I don’t think it’s unreasonable for whoever is better or enjoys cooking more to do most of the cooking even if they are also the one working full time, as long as the other person pulls their weight with the other house stuff.
If it was the woman working full time and still doing all the cooking most wouldn’t bat an eyelid as sadly lots still seem to think that it is a woman’s role to cook regardless if they work or not. I went through a phase of reading Mumsnet threads and was astounded at how common it seems that even if both parents work full time, the mum also does all the school runs, cooking and cleaning while the man plays PlayStation and goes out golfing. Worse still is that in these threads often the women would say they feel guilty if they ask their husband to do something, even if she’s exhausted and just can’t cope anymore. Like, wtf? I agree that sadly it is often women that hold back women’s rights.
Anyway sorry to digress...back to Kate. I find it really horrible how she calls Noa potato? It doesn’t really sound like an endearing cute nickname like little peanut or something, it sounds more like an insult to me eg calling your little baby a lazy couch potato.
