This comes from a very interesting article, coincidentally written by the brand manager of Dr. Oetker.

Ah now if you're going to pretend to be a solicitor, don't have your email ending in something like "1989" 
Apart from the fact I'm sure any official correspondence would be posted and on headed paper, wouldn't law firm emails be more official than Gmail too?? Just short of sending it from [email protected]

I feel so strongly as I was a young college student into fitness and followed her back in the day. I lost of my confidence and compared myself to what I saw online and I developed an eating disorder and lost 30 lbs in a year. There’s much more awareness now, but what she did affected me. Her lying about her size and her photoshop use affected me. Of course, my eating disorder wasnt larbys “fault” but she sold a lifestyle and body that were not attainable or real.Great post summarising everything but you can't leave us hanging like this

she photoshops herself beyond recognition. she lies about her size.
she does this while claiming to be body positive. I’m beating a dead horse here perhaps but she’s an insult to the body positivity movement.
she entered a bikini fitness comp and shared her incredibly restrictive diet and gym regime, she didn’t end up doing it in the end.
she denied using tan, then was found to be using tanning beds while claiming to be naturally sallow. she then signed on to advertise for BPerfect and some other tans and quickly changed her tune. she alluded to her father (who was not part of her life) being dark skinned. this was cleared up as being false by her own brother, who said their father is a white Irish dude.
she used the African skin tone emoji with her photos. This is unacceptable and NOT politically correct. She also figuratively darkens her skin with filters to be darker than Beyoncé (see my previous post of these side by side pics). This is unacceptable
she also used to deny lip fillers which we all know to be a lie.
this is sticky- but instead of filing against her ex for claimed abuse, she took to social media,. If the abuse is real, plastering it on social media belittles the abuse and makes it seem gossip-y. If the abuse was not real that is a whole other issue. I lean towards always believing claims of abuse, but her buckets of lies make me question anything she says.
I consider this a blunder - see my previous post about how she has spent over 100k euro in the last 8 years on designer handbags and shoes, that is, assuming they are all real (as she claims, or at least gives the impression they are).
she recently claimed she would wean off using filters on Instagram. That clearly hasn’t happened.
she claims To empower other women. Where was she when any other blogger came out with a new product? She has never applauded or promoted anyone other than herself.
besides no visible community around her, she seems to have blundered every relationship. James Patrice, Caroline, other bloggers... and now seemingly her own family. It’s quite sad.
she has a pattern of creating giveaways and never choosing a winner. We all know this.
It’s also a blunder to put a gloss over everything. Calling herself a teacher - yes she taught at a preschool but that’s not the same as going to college for an educational degree. I’m sure she’ll be calling herself an interior designer after this certificate from Groupon too.
Someone else mentioned it so I’ll say it again - she has a thesaurus use of colours and other vocabulary. Yesterday she said she was “besotted with botanical tablescape”. Could she BE more pretentious?
and the biggest blunder of all - the big fat lies. never acknowledging what she’s done wrong. we see you Jo, and your little dog too. (Who is from a breeder might I add)

It honestly doesn't. I really enjoy my own company and I'm never bored. I'm very self assured and aware of who I am, what I like, and what I dont like, unlike Ms Larby who quite clearly isn't, and moulds herself on the latest beau.
So let me get this right she is now saying she is a curator of a feed, she is all these things that she listed and she chooses to only share a curated feed and not over share her life like her family partner everyday life etc .. did I get that right ?

Let me be clear - we are all empowered here to speak our minds and bring the truth to light, even if there’s some gossip on the way. It’s human nature. She is not empowering anyone but herself and those who give her freebies or cash.
let’s summarize Larbys business ventures:
-fairy tales book: hyper edited photos of her, in bargain bins for a fiver less than a year after it came out
-fairy flutters lashes: never came to be
-“meet ups” featuring bloggers du jour: 2014 was a weird time. I think all the bloggers made cash money from these daylight bank robberies of preteen girls
-makeup brushes in a giant gold star: these were apparently “limited edition” and also were in bargain bins in pharmacies within a few months. She doesn’t even use them herself. she claimed they were vegan and PETA friendly which were falsified claims.
-glamfam cosmetics: total flop, now in larbys giveaways
-larby fit: months of hype and “I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been working on” but yet another flop
-MUFfy/larby blog: a curated collection of affiliate links. Does she even still post?
-YouTube: she actually used to post legit makeup tutorials and probably made some cash flow. Social blade says she makes peanuts from YouTube now.
-Kerrigans food line: low fat burgers and meat products during her extreme fitness days, marketed at the same time she claimed her makeup brushes to be vegan.
-depop: reselling clothes that she bought or was gifted, and selling them without the tags. She was accused of selling things at the wrong size (to make it appear that she’s smaller) and then laundry tags revealed the clothes were a larger size. Also found to be selling Penney’s clothes without saying they were from Penney’s. Buyers should have been cautious but she’s a dupe herself
-the other side of perfect website: honestly who would pay even a euro for her advice and recipes is beyond me. The website still exists but I don’t know if it’s functional. It definitely seems like a rip off of Replenish minus the mental health resource, as TOSOP seems to be about a “wellness” community (when larby was always about fitness and designer crap)
-podcast: never listened to it myself but seems she had some success and that she’s dropped it now? No one makes $ from podcasts though.
I’m sure she’s making $ from her Instagram ads and affiliate links but who even clicks on her page with an engagement of 1%??
I have in mind several of her personal blunders but I’m going to keep them to myself for now

Paul should have gone after her for defamation, she was clearly making out he was abusive.
What I'd love to know is, is your man as crazy as she is? He must be to be going along with all of this bullshit constantly?
Would he not stand back and think "Sh*t, I shouldn't be dragged into this solicitor/sending threatening messages nonsense, it could adversely affect me"?
I can't understand how some actually sensible people give her content a like - I see Simone Scribes, Aisling Keenan, and others like them (i.e. women with positive, factual content, and good followings) liking her posts - why would you do that? Is it out of pity? To be nice?
Simone really surprises me, because Joanne clearly stole a post idea from her about "having a love for old derelict houses" - Simone literally posted a beautifully worded post about how she find old houses so interesting etc, and then Larby starts posting old buildings and parroting the same idea?
She has never had an original idea in her head.
Rant here, but I lose a tiny bit of respect for Simone, Aisling, etc when I see them interacting with her posts; they're not stupid, they must be aware that Joanne is an absolute con artist.
