"But perhaps reading the worst things about yourself can be an educational experience?"

Little did he know when he put this in his show description...
This was such a tit description anyway, from watching the linked video he didn’t seem to have anything to say on tattle apart from rants about us! IMO he's not interested in learning anything about himself. and his apology sounded like bs.

Side note but I wonder if Bebe wants to get married. During an early WCTATRN episode, she was saying she really wanted to at some point but on a later one she said she’d changed and didn’t need to. Jessie was really highlighting (back then) how they’re with non traditional men and I was wondering if she was kind of pushing that on Bebe. In recent Patreon content, Bebe said she and Horatio have been dating four years, so I’m curious.

Watched the latest Patreon video earlier and I really feel like Jessie and Bebe are absolutely stuck in the early noughties Heat magazine mindset. I'm a year or two younger than Jessie so was also heavily influenced by that era of 'circle of shame' body image bollocks (and like many, ended up with an ED in my late teens/early twenties) but I honestly feel like I don't know ANYONE who still talks openly about food and weight in the warped way they do. It's honestly fascinating and seems like they really encourage each other.

I can sort of (grudgingly) understand Jessie having not moved on in her mindset from this, as she doesn’t seem to have any friends or social interactions apart from her mum and her sister.

But I’m really surprised by Bebe. I would have expected her to be in a completely different headspace.

don't worry! (self-described) "one of the UK's few openly right-wing comedians" has come to his defence!

I feel really sad for Margot growing up with that doormat weight-obsessed mother and that abhorrent misogynist father. Imagine when she’s a teenager, knowing the gross thoughts he might have about her schoolfriends. I hope those children don’t get stuck in the dysfunctional swamp of their family and actually make outside friends and build their own lives

I really dread the day or way Donnie will find out he was the result of a one night stand
a horrible feeling makes me think he already knows...

As someone from a big family, it's really easy to become quite socially isolated - your siblings become your friends and there's an unspoken assumption that you don't need to socialise with anyone else. It means you don't really get exposed to any different views/backgrounds too, and you tend to amplify all the family neuroses!

this isn't that uncommon though - and since both his parents are actually on the scene and were together at least for a while, it is really more the fault of alfie for seemingly being a deadbeat dad and both jessie and alfie for making a thing out of donnie's conception.

Lol she let's the kids watch Succession, they're basically surrogate friends aren't they?

I think it’s kind of worse than that.

I know a friend of mine was really fucked up by the knowledge that her parents were incompatible and should never have been together. She felt guilty that her birth was the reason they got married and tried to stick it out.

It wasn’t her fault of course, but that was the way she felt.

Omg I was shocked when she said they watch it because it’s a “family show” or something. I’ve not been letting my kids watch it with me but I also wouldn’t let them say “duck” either so I guess to each her own.

This is crazy to me! The language is sooo crude at times. My daughter is Donnie’s age and I wouldn’t dream of it even though I love succession! Am I a mumsnet pearl-clutcher!?

I don't think this is such a big deal, especially compared to the other traumas these kids will undoubtedly have.
How many of us were born out of a romantic night from a committed relationship? I don't think the way you are conceived is that concerning (bar the obvious, ie. assault).

I feel more freaked out for teenager Margo learning her dad would want to have sex with her Year 9 friends

Forgot to add, I'd find it way less weird to find out I was an oopsie baby from a one night stand that turned into a relationship than to know the only way I would be born is if my mum promised dad he could shag around as a reward (as was the case for their kids 3 and 4).
