I think its probably wealth with Ben and maybe some contracting research roles. But because (as far as i can see) he doesnt try to make money from his followers,i dont care where it comes from.

Its undisclosed adds and shadiness get me, neither of which are something i see with Ben

What do people think happened to cause the glow down? Money coming in=more access to drink, drugs, less need to put effort into physical fitness etc? They need to just accept that they are influencers and not fitness people, there is nothing about their lifestyle that makes me think fitness at all (I know PTs don’t have to be in banging shape to be good but these two are just letting themselves go and are almost proud of the fact?)

Tbh I don't think James has changed as drastically much, he has never been that great looking or super fit. But yeah without doubt their lifestyle is taking its toll. I notice it with a lot of fitness influencers, the constant need and pressure to create content, upload things and stay relevant drains them.

I used to follow Alex Crockford who seems a lovely guy but as he has gotten bigger in the last year or so the influencer traits have started to appear and he is also looking more and more tired in his posts.

I do think it's just living off takeaway and binge drinking. They both never could sustain a healthy diet and exercise plan. They were just good at heavily restricting themselves before events and back in the day the only event was the 12 week challenge winners trip.

Their skin shows a thousand lies. No amount of neat and drinking water can hide the bad diets and hygiene.

I do think it’s all down to life style. It’s all well and good for a little while but it’s bound to take its toll eventually.

100%. He has said on various podcasts (I’m not sure why I listen) that he drinks more in the UK. He’s clearly not happy with his UK life and that’s showing on him physically now. If he doesn’t make it back in to Oz he’s going to need to take some of his own advice and sort his tit out.

Definitely! I know he’s not ‘old’ by any means, he’s a couple of years older than me, but I think heavy drinking and fast food, that kind of general lifestyle really does get more difficult to deal with the older you get. I remember being early 20s and I could go out all night, and still roll into work at 7 the next day and be fine. I could never do that now 😂 I don’t know how they manage to keep up with it! Although it is probably easier if you don’t do anything else 😂

But didn't he party loads down under too? Plus all the sun will be aging if he doesn't take care of his skin

I was going to say this

I am the same age as James and my stamina has just gone!

I remember being out all night getting home at 6am quick shower and change and then going to work for an 8 hour shift! I wouldn't make it 1am these days and would been 3 days to recover!

Also it is a lot harder to lose weight the older you get. When I was younger I could switch from beer to wine and lose 5lb in a week or two. Now I need to drink nothing but water and starve myself for the same result

I don’t think he will make it back to Aus. His occupation/talent isn’t enough to warrant a visa, especially given the current situation with covid. An Aussie girl I follow is out of Australia atm touring with her husband (fisher the DJ) and she was hoping to get back to Aus in the next few months but thinks she won’t be able to! If a citizen is finding it hard to get in then James dream of Aussie living is definitely over

I think that's why he spilt his tour up over there, so he'll definitely get back in for work purposes lol

Will be an absolute sickener if he gets back in. I’ve got family in aus, they couldn’t get back for my grand funeral. My cousin can’t get back to see his folks and they haven’t seen each other for nearly 2 years. Would be an absolute disgrace if they let James Smith back in

*grans funeral

The thing I don’t is, James Smith openly talks on his podcast about spending the night in a cell after being arrested in the UK.

He also openly said on his podcast that he was contacted by the Australian police in relation to harassing his ex over the mobile phone he said she “stole” (Mackenna) and told to stop speaking about her/harassing her online.

He also openly admits to taking illegal drugs such a c and mushrooms while in Australia (not judging but this is breaking the law of a country then boasting about it to hundreds of thousands of people essentially).

My question is (and I’m truly baffled here so maybe someone can shed some light)- HOW on earth can anyone get out of the starting gates applying for an Australian visa when they have been arrested before?

The only way around it would be to lie. Not declaring previous arrests/lying is extremely serious and can land you in very hot water.

Does it matter if you’ve been arrested or cautioned? I’d think it will only be relevant if he’s been charged. Also he’s probably lying about being arrested…

Think pp is right, he spilt the tour up to be on the safe side. The business partner seems to be the one with the brains, what are the chances he’ll have all the affairs in order so he’s legit got a successful business in Aus so after covid will get back in?

You must declare all arrests also. It says on Australian government website that to be considered for any visa you must first pass a “good character” test. If you don’t disclose arrests and are caught out you automatically fail the good character test and will be refused entry. Once you notify them of arrests they will asses on a case by case basis to determine good character.

BUT interestingly it’s very clear that ANY person breaking the law in Australia will immediately fail the good character test and be denied entry. That’s why I’m so shocked he talks about breaking the law so openly on his podcast. If he gets a visa surely one of his haters will send the podcast to the Austrian immigration. He’s just got too many enemies right now with all his incitement on Instagram. I think it’s going to come back and bite him on the a tbh.Just my opinion of course.

I am actually so pleased that the Australian police tore him a new hole about the harassment of his ex. It was so disgusting and he had the cheek at the time to harp on about womens safety etc!
