I don't think the raw, grinding poverty that is happening right now, of which food poverty is just one aspect, is prevalent within the twitter community. We're seeing malnutrition, nutrition deficiencies and death in the news. Obesity is a side affect of food poverty, access to quality food in deprived areas is hard to come by and food education is vanishingly scarce. JM clearly sufferered and overcame but hers was a different kind of poverty, she had enough education and opportunity to climb out of it and a family and Co parent ready to step up. Other than food banks and shouting at the wealthy, I rarely see her championing other people and resources, considering nutrition or tackling the root causes. And now a book, isn't that monetising food poverty. Why not focus on creating an income from what sells in an ethical way whilst being an activist and rasing awareness. Whatever your feelings about THAT MAN he came from nothing and has done alot to tackle the issues he believes in. JM has done some good stuff, but she's fast turning into Uncle Albert.
