100%, sadly. I mean 'luckily' for everyone except her.

Thank god scrutiny is at all all time high and the type of enhanced background check for working in a position of authority or working solo with vulnerable client groups isn't just about convicted incidents, it's about all the times the police have been to your home for various reasons, all the times social services and welfare agencies have been involved etc.

Could explain why Big D and E are a bit distant. They'd be like hey don't bring your travelling circus to our home and wreck our credibility as foster carers. Also, she may quite literally be explicitly forbidden from being alone with any of their foster children because of her determination to appear batshit crazy.

For those of us who've experienced genuine difficulties and setbacks in this life that unfortunately have left us in a bit of an awkward position, it's particularly galling to see someone get up in the morning and set out with the full intention of having people think they're a hopeless addict or profoundly mentally ill (screaming and clawing at the floor?) or repeatedly making suicide attempts. She's giving a bad name to everyone. Desperado.
Absolutely. She's an unbelievable bleep to want to put on and take off these things that people really do genuinely struggle with as part of her Manic Pixie Dream Enby costume. She's also arrogant af to assume that jobs that require a great deal of skill, education, training or all of the above are jobs she could just waltz in to, willy nilly. Like, seriously, do duck up Jack.

Yep. Here she is completely contradicting that.
View attachment 2392984

She does cook the same thing over and over (see: cornbread, nine times this year), but funnily enough, over the years she only really seems concerned about what one person in particular likes to eat.
My birthday is also St Patricks Day but I'm considering changing it after reading that.

quoting myself without catching up fully; i just re-read the Guardian article. At the time of writing, she says: At the time of writing this, I have been sober for exactly a week. The change has been remarkable. My house is tidier than it has ever been.
Who commissioned this piece, and when? And if she contacted them and said she wanted to write about it in the paper, on what day did she do this?

And when was the photograph taken?

It all seems very convenient. Almost like there was another piece commissioned and she didn't do any work on it, they caught her out and she retaliated by saying "I DIDN'T DO XYZ BECAUSE I'M AN ALCOHOLIC. I'M IN RECOVERY, I'LL WRITE ABOUT THAT INSTEAD."

Otherwise the whole thing seems unreal - within one week of going sober, she's gone through recovery, and arranged for a photographer to come to her house AND written a coherent piece about it.
I gave up drinking as I have a problem - my intake was far less than guset claims hers was (leaving aside the 40 tramadol) and although I did start to feel better quite quickly once I stopped I can say it was far longer than a week before I was anywhere near the stage she’s describing here. I’m surprised the article went out tbh

It's the Guardian - she's white and middle class, why bother with things like checking facts?

The papers are always running articles about the benefits of giving up alcohol so of course she jumped on that bandwagon. A few from the Guardian the year before her January 2019 mea culpa..

Not sure why they even needed a screenwriter on I, Daniel Blake anyway. Didn’t they just copy it straight from guest’s blog? View attachment 2391299
She had two separate articles for the Guardian chatting absolute wham all about how I, Daniel Blake was her life. I just read both to find that quote above and in the other one where she goes to the movie premiere FFS! 🤦‍♂️ 😂
Now we know where the lying twit got the “Mummy and Daddy lived on a shared can of cold beans so we didn’t go hungry” story. What. A. Wanker.View attachment 2391332

Also, I’ve read all of guest’s now-deleted blog posts from 2012-2013 and I don’t ever recall her “lighting tealights in a tray and under flowerpots…as I did and wrote about back in 2013”.

I’m assuming that’s also where she got her “put your oven trays in your bed” and “ten years on: my solar lit bungamansion hell” inspo too. bleeping head.

Oh course Ken Loach, veteran director of socially critical films, including the iconic "Cathy Come Home", would need to read her "little baked bean blog" as research. 😂

"Cathy Come Home" was genuinely groundbreaking and caused a huge shift in attitudes towards homelessness and single mothers.

She could never.

Remember that model that called Jack out for her 'portrait mode' nonsense? Was she called Ariel Anderssen? If so she has an article in the guardian today.
Just read this piece, really interesting.

What strikes me is that it's all about her identity -- she's travelled a unique road to get there but she's certain about who she is and what she wants to do with her life. Such a contrast to JM.

Also, she comes across as a person of integrity, unlike JM.

Of course, thanks to JM, I'm now pretty skeptical about everyone on the internet, so it's entirely possible that AA is a cheap grifter who's lied about everything. Hope not, though.

Sorry if this has already been noted-
Our Jackie gal has liked this on the hell site, follow link- nuffing there. No pic of our Greek, Irish, gender-bending, sober living Jackie.

I wonder why?

I’m guessing she hasn’t allowed him to add it to the collection - they ask in the post and she hasn’t responded.

Graham Spiers uploaded a couple of his Fringe talks last night, no sign of Jack's though 😩

Also, I was in the library last week and did my check of Grifty Kitchen. Someone else borrowed it! It's got 2 stamps on it now!

Bless Ryan, but I think that there may be a limited market for a James O’Brien mug and coaster set. You’re right though, there’s no guest merch.

She gets away with a hell of a lot because she’s white and middle class
100% this.

I sometimes go to discussion forums or those kind of literary events where people sit in panels and chat about contemporary society and philosophical issues.

Sometimes I literally want to stand up and scream when I see / hear four white middle class Guardian types discussing along the lines of 'but what do *we* as society do?', 'how do *we* make it better for *them*'?

Sometimes they're discussing complex international issues and it's such a tank fest as if they genuinely believe that there's a little group of white British academic or literary Radio 4 type people who are the 'we' that get to influence and correct and make it all better for the world.

And they talk about the working classes or people in deprivation as if they're animals in a zoo and they're the caretakers that make decisions that make or break people's lives. The vast majority of people in the UK and on this planet have no idea who they are and they're not important or relevant to anyone.

It's this type of fkn arrogant white saviour bollox that launched Jack's 'career' (fail). Oh jack go out into the world and help the povs eat. Does she have any health and nutrition courses under her belt, any food health and hygiene courses, any cookery skills or chef skills training from any local community college or even a fancy place? Nope nope nope. She's a fkn joke and she's actually a victim of their own bell jar re-breathing their own fetid air and eventually dying of suffocation.

rant over....

I'm confused by this 'art work'. It's just a crappy filter on someone else's photo. Does it get a free pass because the artist is autistic?

Does the person who owns the copyright on the original photo not get a say?

It's baffling. tit, and baffling.

I think what she means is she read his book, written decades before she was even born, decided to model her own pity party story and persona on it and then cover her a and also time travel by saying in fact KL was speaking to her very own life and that by the time he got around to I Daniel Blake it was actually the movie of *her* about that one time she got her Housing benefit cancelled.

Yes, it's just crappy filters and distortions applied to the original pic. It's rit. I guess anyone can do whatever they like any time they want and if this is what he wants to do, then so be it. The artwork is the property of the 'artist' however, he could run into a copyright issue as the photographer is the owner of the photo and probably didn't give consent for it to be used. I guess as long as the 'artist' doesn't intend to publish or sell the image then ... oh, wait...

I doubt this is the actual reason but wanted to point out that it isn’t up to Jack to give permission anyway. The rights for the photograph belong to whoever took it, not Jack. Ryan never had any real right to post the “artwork” in the first place, and certainly not if he’s intending to try and profit from it. Many artists/photographers will overlook their work being used if it’s just just for personal use, but if you try and sell it then they would have every right to take legal action.

Edit: @Dr.CM got there first!
