Why would you even go to see a doctor for insect bites? Assuming her actual eyeball wasn’t affected in any way it’s just a mild allergic reaction to the bites. Surely all the doctor will do is prescribe antihistamines which are probably cheaper OTC anyway.

Previous job (watermelon) was at a UK-based record label - you have heard of their biggest artists - and can confirm we did that regularly when boxes of 12 inches (steady on) would arrive. Got really good at mimicking the four squiggles from one particular band on a boring Tuesday.

Quite the 'here's what you could have won' for Jamie to get a show like that. Her life's work, boo hoo. I think she'll come back all chipper in life couldn't be better mode complete with florid fantasies of her hologram mates who've been lifting her up -(why does she always make them sound like washing line props) then she'll flip her lid when someone plops that man's success in front of her. He was gracious enough to give her a shout out recently, but she's only ever bitter or silent about others achievements. Anything that isn't her is blind spot.

I think if I'd been bitten on the eyelid and it was swelling badly, I'd go to the doctor to get it checked to be sure I hadn't done any damage to the eye, especially as you can't use steroid cream (my usual go-to for a bad allergic reaction to a bite) on your face.

Definitely. I have quite strong reactions to insect bites and in more than one occasion ended up with a puffy eye. I tend to get it checked at the pharmacy or on one occasion was directed to the opticians as the bitey bastard bit my actual eye. Never had an eyepatch though. Just pop on whichever pair of sunglasses I can find...last time it was a bright pink Arnold Clarke's promotional pair from a goody bag we got with our new car. #sostylish
