But as a lot of people have said, what the Jack story needs to really gain traction is an angle. And Nigella recommending her followers give money to a scammer is a pretty good place for a journalist to start. I don’t think it’ll harm Nigella’s reputation in the long term, as we all get conned, and a decent PR team could easily spin it as ‘poor Nigella got conned, trying to do good with her new Ocado recipes blah de blah’.
