Gosh, her sick mum in lockdown and it’s all about how it affects Jack’s childcare…

Sorry but that certainly appears to be the actions of a deeply selfish person.
Everyone I knew during lockdown was demented about their parents and vulnerable family members. Not our Jack. Couldn’t even be arsed to acknowledge a tweet but perfectly happy to wheel out her sick mum a couple of weeks later to fend of criticism

Why isn't she selling this stuff? For shampoo? You'd get some cash in FB marketplace for a freezer. If you've got 6 months you have time to sell high ticket items, then as move date draws closer you may need to quickly donate/give away. But at least try and sell! Earn some honest money.

UPDATE: I turned the lock off on my phone this morning. I downloaded Twitter and made an account. Followed 10 random accounts. The app has been open in my bag since 8am and I haven't touched my phone, so I'm coming up from behind in the past but so far:

Nothing has changed. No random messages. No accidental tweets. Not even a single character appears to have been touched on my keyboard.

See you at 4pm!

Already posted I know, but can we all appreciate the arrogance of the "which is infuriating" phrase? People aren't "jumping in" they are offering comfort that it's not as bad as it seems, rather than grief-mining and probably absolutely panicking her friend who has gone to her in good faith.

(Given she supposedly gets 100s of these requests, you'd think she could read a letter)

Why is she getting rid of the egg chair, freezer and barbecue when she has no idea where she's moving to? It may be a small flat but have a large garden. It might have a large kitchen or utility area with room for a freezer.

Not said this for a while, but make it make sense.

ETA @Dogrose there first.

For fraus in the know about hoarding, does it come in all shapes and sizes or is it a spectrum? As in, is there a way to tell by looking whether someone is just clutter-blind or whether they actually have a hoarding problem?
I don't have any specialist knowledge, but as a layperson, when someone is writing a book which tells us to keep tumble dryer lint and HUMAN HAIR in little jars in case they come in useful at some point, it sets off alarm bells.

There are still plenty of tickets left for Jack's appearance at the book festival.

The ticket options are all "Pay what you can", with the lowest option being zero pounds.

We could all buy a zero pound ticket. A kind of Patreon Revenge Act

My favourite thing about this thread is how it snowballs.. one funny post which leads directly into another funny one and then a third and so on. And it just gets funnier and funnier 🤣

Apologies if already said, and I am not on titter to get involved there - but yes she has completely misunderstood the letter and policy changes. (My ds gets care charges). The care COSTS are the amount the care COSTS. The CHARGES are the maximum amount the individual could potentially be CHARGED towards their care, based on their income. Hence they pay the lower of the two amounts. (This person is not facing a 680% increase but is receiving an 86% sub) The changes refer to the govt capping the lifetime costs to the client.

Everyone brace for a double-page feature spread on the Great Decluttering and how it's softly, gently helping Jack discover the inner peace she's craved for 34 years yada yada yada

My first post! Discovered you all in 2020 when Jack was visiting the lovely independent restaurant Dishoom but couldn’t keep up with her chaos. It’s summer holidays so I’ve managed a quick scroll of most of the recaps and am finally up to date.

HOW can she expect anyone to believe this?!
This is worse than the time her arse ordered J1g.
