So I have bipolar and when I was younger and would go into manic phases I would tend to be more promiscuous and date around a lot. Especially after a break up. Jack seems manic right now. It’s not a good place to be and the only place from there is down. I actually feel for her right now, but also cut the tit. Put your phone down and watch some porn or something. Just do the opposite of whatever it is you’re doing right now.

This is a good point - I’m Grunking as had a kitchen designer round, so it has perhaps been said. I think Jack sees her followers as friends, hence her page has drifted from what should be a professional account to one where she’s talking to what she sees as a room full of friends. It’s embarrassing.

When I was undiagnosed and unmedicated (ADHD) I also engaged in extremely risky and promiscuous behaviour. But Jack is - apparently- medicated, with three therapists, a supportive network and has a pre-teen son to be thinking of. She has absolutely no excuse for this frankly bleeping mental behaviour.
I came on here expecting to see Jack had resurrected her gobshite Indyref sock account, not gone haywire horny!
Also, why isn't she just doing something normal to get over this break up like buying a kilo of strawberries from Lidl and watching Wimbledon? Why does it have to be so weirdly extreme?

I had a conversation with one of my supervisees today who's thinking of taking some time out, so some unsolicited advice from the other side of life that I gave to her: you are more important than the doctorate. Your well-being, your health, your personal life, they're all more important than the thesis. The research you do matters, but never enough to sacrifice those things, and the more you care for yourself, the better your work is.

Hold on, was Spaniel Friend the real life friend who accidentally revealed OH was male? If so, she sounded as though she knew and respected both Jack and OH. Things may be about to get very awkward if Jack keeps dropping hints about OH being a wrong'un.

ETA- Just caught up and seen that it was SF. From what I recall that tweet made it sound like OH was a mutual friend so wow, Jack's public snipes towards ex-OH are even more calculated than I thought. She is begging for someone to tell him about all her cool new dates.

I think this must surely be the thing that convinces the "OH isn't real" camp, no? This is 100% just been dumped behaviour, and has no business being anywhere on her public Twitter profile.
