Wow the Facebook finds are so interesting! I'm really enjoying my new hobby of Jacking on Tattle, thanks Fraus and Herrs! A couple of mithering impressions:
She moved into a flat that was far too expensive. SB's dad lived with them for a month (accordingly to Mumsnet). She LEFT the fire service then the pub because of childcare. Her parents couldn't do over night care, again fair enough, it's a lot to ask. SB's dad couldn't fit in with the shift patterns either? Cue rage and performative sale of a lot of nice stuff! I didn't have half as much as Jack at that age and I'd lived alone since 16. Good for her, just saying she didn't grow up poor.
She said in a post that someone was buying her food. Did they stop? Surely not.
Fascinating to see the seeds sprouting. A Girl Called Jack is a character she invented and who ten years (of success and disappointment) later is devouring her. She was such a self-publicist even then. Such a maverick! She clearly has main character syndrome and a huge ego, and I think she justifies her lies about the past to her family by saying she's playing a character in order to help the poor, for the greater good. But her lies, contradictions and personal flaws
are really catching up with her now. She's wrecked her numerous chances of living the glitzy high life and all that remains is the unglamorous, Asda cardigan character that she's backed herself into playing. Poor Jack! Come clean and try a redemption arc, perhaps? I'm here for it!
Also, why not try picking some mushrooms this autumn and doing some self-reflection? Coke doesn't suit you and you can't handle it. Buy a nice weed vape instead.
