Wow the Facebook finds are so interesting! I'm really enjoying my new hobby of Jacking on Tattle, thanks Fraus and Herrs! A couple of mithering impressions:

She moved into a flat that was far too expensive. SB's dad lived with them for a month (accordingly to Mumsnet). She LEFT the fire service then the pub because of childcare. Her parents couldn't do over night care, again fair enough, it's a lot to ask. SB's dad couldn't fit in with the shift patterns either? Cue rage and performative sale of a lot of nice stuff! I didn't have half as much as Jack at that age and I'd lived alone since 16. Good for her, just saying she didn't grow up poor.

She said in a post that someone was buying her food. Did they stop? Surely not.

Fascinating to see the seeds sprouting. A Girl Called Jack is a character she invented and who ten years (of success and disappointment) later is devouring her. She was such a self-publicist even then. Such a maverick! She clearly has main character syndrome and a huge ego, and I think she justifies her lies about the past to her family by saying she's playing a character in order to help the poor, for the greater good. But her lies, contradictions and personal flaws
are really catching up with her now. She's wrecked her numerous chances of living the glitzy high life and all that remains is the unglamorous, Asda cardigan character that she's backed herself into playing. Poor Jack! Come clean and try a redemption arc, perhaps? I'm here for it!

Also, why not try picking some mushrooms this autumn and doing some self-reflection? Coke doesn't suit you and you can't handle it. Buy a nice weed vape instead.

Very much this. No wonder she now wants to be seen as a researcher/journalist/aspiring politico. How is it she has been referring to her potential libel case? Landmark.

Jack is a literal horror. I know this because I made a forensic study on a granular level with unctuous delight and laser precision.

I have concluded that Jack must have teeth like Pennywise.

How she lures squigs and blue ticks:

I desperately need someone to Jackface this gif.

Going back to yesterday's tweet about how self publishing lost her money. How can that be?

She reached 9 times her kickfunding goal and it's pretty basic calculations to work out printing then shipping costs. With her laser focused forensic data analysis and maticilous detail for figures it would have been a piece of cake to make a profit.

Then no more only making 1.44% with those damn retailers creaming off their 70%.

She got 3600 odd people to pay around £19 each and how cheaply it was printed wouldn't have cost more than a pound. Some might have paid for two copies and one to be donated, but still she had the luxury of ordering the exact number with next to no stock sitting around. Shipping and packing would have still left a juicy profit that most retailers could only dream of. Where did all that profit go, especially considering she said she did virtually it all herself. Didn't she sell the rights to a publisher and make more afterwards?

I'd love to see her explain how it made a loss. Even if it did take 18 months (which I doubt as copying a Nigella recipe but changing one or two ingredients isn't hard) that's a decent income for 5 years ago without much expenditure.

Even if she had to print 7200 copies that’s £9.40 per book including postage. Bullshit she made a loss she just spent loads of the money then panicked when she hadn’t left enough over.

She needed to pick a lane and stick at it for a few junctions before branching off. THAT man was just a chef to begin with, he built his brand and image and then became a campaigner as he progressed. Jack tried to be everything right off the bat and didn't research her roles thoroughly enough to pass as legitimate for any of them.

Considering her psychiatrists seem to specialise in the ✨manifest your bucket list bbz✨ form of 'therapy', that's not too difficult 😏
I think Jack chooses therapists that indulge her need to talk endlessly about herself, and who fluff up her ego. Can't see her taking kindly to anyone giving her guidance on changing her behaviours or even just acknowledging her negative traits. Plus, any tools they try and teach her, she's likely completed it mate anyway.

Just as a complete aside, if anyone used to (does) watch MIC, Binky’s sister, Anna-Louise, has a son with Autism. She has not shied away from the fact that they have both had a really challenging journey through diagnosis, finding a school, social situations etc.

My point is that last week she separated her personal (well, art/work account) from the one about her son. That one will now be for helping people in situations like theirs. What works, what doesn’t, highlighting other useful accounts and pages. Jack (for argument’s sake) has ADHD, Autism, RA and is non-binary. There is lots of stuff she could do to help just by posting reels on her Jack Monroe Instagram. No need for sark. Not really very much work. No need for interaction. Just a reel a day and a few reposts of other pages. She could then have her bootstrapcook account and focus on one recipe a day too, concentrate on seasonality and what she finds in her local supermarket cheaply. Not difficult. Allow food comments and encourage the promotion of smaller, home cook accounts.

By dividing her work, keeping it simple and routine people know what they are getting. You can tell that Anna-Louise is loving having the separation. It would do Jack wonders too.

ETA- I don’t have a clue about commas. Please don’t ban me.

It also ties in with SB's sister being born.
Jack will have been jealous as hell. Not only would her hold over SBs dad been diminished but financially she was losing out too. Also, his sister has a serious health condition and needs a lot of extra help. Jack will resent the extra taken away from her as well as the fact SB now had a family unit away from her.
SB had a happy life with his stepmother. There's plenty of photos out there showing them as a happy family.
SBs dad saying he couldn't have SB overnight would make sense if he was in hospital with his sick baby. Jack's house sale was in reaction to being cast away from her Narc supply.
(As well as all the other reasons we've stated)

She has a very shallow knowledge of everything. It's like she's seen TV shows with campaigning in and thought that must be how it works. Same with rags to riches stories. I bet she felt she was living in a room com with Allegra

Every time Jack has claimed to be in marathon training coincides with SB's dad doing one. Never follows through of course.

I follow her she’s clearly a very lovely person too. Which Jack very clearly isn’t.
And you’re right, that’s the worse thing about Jack for me. She could genuinely do a lot of good things and have a good career. It’s the constant self centring wailing and grifting. I don’t know how more people don’t see it.
I feel like we’re all waiting the messiah top journo now who will come and expose it all. We have the receipts LJC!

Maybe I'm reading the tone wrong but she seems... excited? to be selling all of her and her sons stuff
That's how I read it. Like when you finally get round to doing a car boot, or uploading a bunch of stuff to FB marketplace or similar - you feel pretty excited to be getting rid of it plus a bit of cash. It doesn't read desperate, starving, single mum at all.

Catching up with twitter and oh my god, the insane levels of unacknowledged privilege dripping from some of these 'I only got a £60k advance for my next three novels' author tweets. Nauseating.

Wow. What a witch. using her son as a way to stop people forensically questioning her questionable morals
Nah, she was just making up a story, then realised it was too much for even the fans to swallow

I haven't been around for ages and I often find myself wondering how the wonderful people here are doing. Got a twitter notification of one of the tweets

LJC she's still insufferable then

Never change, Jack

I was flicking through Instagram (she’s lost interest in that hasn’t she, if SB did do social media, timed posts on there would be far more appropriate).
What strikes you is how much happier she looks, there are friends, she’s having fun, and no bleeping Facetune. It’s a bit sad really.
