So she didn't even manage Veganury? I mean, I get it, I didn't either, but lucky I didn't write a book or announce to the internet I was vegan

She sure didn't. Which is why the vegans are so annoyed with her. I'm vegan. I'm delighted when people join Veganuary. I get they may not make it through or get a drunken kebab or whatever. That's all fine. It's none of my business. The problem is the grand announcements, the very evocative language (meat addiction), becoming a vegan voice while never, ever actually being vegan.

Eating mainly plant-based is not being vegan. Reducing your meat consumption is not being vegan. Cutting out dairy is not being vegan.

I'm thrilled if anyone does those things, but please don't pretend to speak for me, an actual, 100% vegan when you do. It's insulting.

I don't have any personal beef with Jack, I just find her recipes absolutely depressing and her style leaves a lot to be desired.

The thing with Monroe is that she seems to be employed based solely on her back-story, rather than on any actual cooking talent. This alone is annoying enough, especially when gets gigs on the BBC, and that’s without even taking into consideration the fact that her back-story is so clearly made-up. It’s mind-boggling.

Hilarious if she’s got to cook 40 odd recipes she’s never done before for the photos, that will all look and taste like shite - especially when she hates cooking so much.
How will the photo editor tell any of them apart when they all look like brown slop?

It has showed some good stuff, Fleabag and Normal People being two I can remember off the top of my head.

That isn’t too say it isn’t like the bigger channels though .
