Gousto recipes quite often have cream cheese in their “creamy chicken” dishes, I presume because it’s simpler (and uses fewer pans) than having to make a béchamel. Given Jack’s seemingly unending struggle to make an adequate béchamel I suspect she’s taking the technique on board.
I’m baffled by this non-alcoholic wine in cooking thing - just don’t use it? Use stock instead. My mum doesn’t drink as she’s never liked the taste and until I was a grown up cooking for myself I never had wine in food and it wasn’t hugely missed tbh. My friend is Sikh and observant to no alcohol and he just doesn’t use a recipe if it calls for wine or stout or whatever as there are plenty of recipes which are perfectly adequate to use a different liquid? It’s bizarre. It’s almost like it’s a chance to assert that she’s still on the wagon. Which - if last time is anything to go by - suggests the mamapapa may protest too much.

if jack needs her kitchen to be suitable for her work might i suggest she considers prioritising getting an actual working oven? just a thought.

Yep - that could very much be the case. It could be 2 named tenants, one leaves and so a new one is drawn up in a single name. Could also be the same if a guarantor no longer wishes to stand for the tenant..... perhaps an ex, who no longer wishes to associate with a tenant who is a liability.... for example......

I love the way wilko specifically ask people to share their photos and yet whenever Jack does and tags them into it (which is OFTEN), they just studiously ignore her.

Thanks, I know. But I feel more than a little hypocritical having such an extravagance and calling Jack out for wasting money. Though you are right, I may be on a pension, but do still pay tax on my income. I also pay full rent, as my works pension takes me just over the amount where I can claim HB.
I won't complain though, I'm lucky that my income is such that I can just about afford it. I don't have much disposable income, and most people would say I was poor.
What really gets to me though, is Jack intimating she is still poor (without actually saying so explicitly) and accepting money off strangers for doing nothing. She is actually obtaining money by deception.

Last year was 'no spend', this year is clearly 'no work'.
There seemingly was no part time, low paid job, nor nutrition course, nor new book, nor any other opportunity to come her way.
I doubt there was a date night, I doubt SB comes round much (100% supervised access methinks), I doubt she has any real friends left at this point.
You'd feel bad for the lass if you weren't aware she is a product of her own making.
