Fully agree about Marcus! A lot of people here have mentioned that Jack has no empathy, and it’s even more glaring compared to Marcus. He highlights the all the awful realities, but he also has projects that are so positive, like his book for young people, and Full Time Meals. I think this is because he empathises with kids who are in poverty right now, and knows the last thing they need is doom and gloom, (or even to be perceived as hopeless).
That is such a good point I hadn't really considered before. Jack's message is always a negative and hopeless one. Once you have been poor and use a food bank you can never get past it. You will always be traumatised and marked out by it.
She would no doubt say it is important to not forget, but as the poster person for poverty she is a fairly bleak figurehead.

Lest we forget that SHE RENTS

It's so depressing the way nothing ever changes with her. The well-worn pattern has been mentioned earlier (the 'campaigning' followed immediately by the allusion to trolls followed by 'burn out' followed by send doggos / Coop pics) but I think it's even more obvious after her ~break~. It's just existentially exhausting to witness.
The cycle has speeded up though. It used to be a day or two of "campaigning", a day or so of self congratulation, a day feeling cheery, a day of alluding to trolls and mendacious ninnies, a day looking good on the outside but inside in turmoil, then a day or so of the burn out and unspecified illnesses, finally taking to her bed in floods of tears and pain.

Now it is all over and done with in a single day. I suppose that is due to the restricted access to her social media.

I thought the Dyson fan was found in the magical Mary Poppins bag/Vicar of Dibley muddy puddle.

Oh no wait it was funded by patreon pity payments.

I think the Dyson hairdryer was the gift from LCJ. Clearly Jack wanted a whole set of Dyson products.
ETA as appleskin says!

Wasn’t that a'gift' from LJC?
The banana I just ate was a gift from myself to me.

The coffee I am drinking is in a mug I found in Tesco.

Everything in her possession was a gift or was found somewhere. Her ability to twist words so that she presents things in a certain way is driving me absolutely up the wall.

Why does no one else see what we see?

Why?

Hnnhnjgbhgbhh.

You can see how many people have viewed your tweets. Doesn’t mean they’ve actually read it in detail though Jack!
This is what I was wondering, can you see how many people actually read them, rather than having to scroll past them as they're retweeted? Like autoplay video viewing stats are, I assume, completely skewed because you have no option but to watch a couple of seconds before you scroll?

Those stats only relate to someone seeing the tweet in their feed; 'impressions', I believe.

In the end it doesn't even matter, she's been doing this schtick for about 10 years now and hasn't changed a thing except for her own visibility. But that's the main aim for her anyway.

The thing with empathy is that you’ve never “completed it”, you keep learning it more and more as you go through life, and I’ve honestly not seen Jack show any development in humanity or consideration for others.

Marcus is definately a campaigner. As said before he outlines the issues and then says how he and others can help. Hes not relying on a broken government to fix it, hes out there being proactive, sorting out how too feed the kids, setting up projects to make sure no kid is left behind.

Meanwhile miss Havisham over here is continually reliving the poverty life she had once upon a time, ensuring to tell everyone how miserable it is. When i am certain they already know.

I really dont find her campaigning helpful. She shouts out foodbank support yet complains that we even need them. Its contradictory to the cause.

Oooo. Miss Havisham. Tough call. Gillian Anderson was too beautiful. Helena Bonham Carter always pulls it out of the bag, but I think Charlotte Rampling does it for me.

She really reminds me of the character. She was scorned once and now continually lives in that same state, never really moving forward and trying to make everyone else miserable around her.
