3. I may be incorrect here, and please correct me if I am wrong, but if you are at the stage of your recovery where the slightest bit of stress can set you off on a wobble and require you to go to a meeting, should you really be going into a pub (with all the psychological triggers present) who is having an actual pint? Sorry for the long sentence and more than happy to be corrected on this, but, I would have thought if your recovery was still in its infancy, going into a pub wouldn’t be advised.
No you’re completely right.

Idk it’s not my place to judge anyone’s illness or recovery but her story is just so atypical of any women’s I’ve ever heard, especially young women’s it’s like she’s picked it up out of eastenders?! There’s a whole schtick about listening to the similarities and not the differences *because* alcoholism isn’t just drinking 100 pints of value lager and hissing at your partner and chucking tit at interns, it’s also being a party girl binge drinker like everyone else your age but ending up in a MH crisis? Or it’s having a few insane weeks of making atrocious decisions and knowing you need to stop and you need help with your MH? Or overdosing once and ending up in hospital. None of these are what the media portray ~the alchies~ to be like but it’s more commonplace than the bloke that ends up street homeless from it. Someone here said it perfectly in that Twitter lacks nuance, so does this back story 😳

ETA - actually feel guilty for being so judgy so will say there’s no pre requisites to join AA other than a desire to stop drinking, no one judges the validity of your story so pls don’t let me put you off? It’s just hard to find her credible in any field but particularly as a beacon of recovery for potentially vulnerable people, I’d rather she just kept to scamming.

Where is Dash tho.

Also there is mining the Trauma and there is having non-ICO compliant (in progress speculation, mlud) folders to mine other people's trauma too. People with the time and connections like Jack would be better placed to provide support to help a genuine voice self-advocate and speak up with support rather than via Mouthpiece Monroe.

OT: fancy Gary Neville now

Yes there is a link here to some of it:

He made really good points and argued them calmly (and without references to playground sexual assault). Plus he managed to go up against Edwina without shouting about any family members being "DEAD".
Told you, today someone else more suited will come out today or tomorrow and she will fall down the list again.

I hate the way the activism takes it out of her so much she becomes a mere husk. If she feels that strongly about her past then find a new career where you dont have to relive it ALL the time.

He comes across as one of those types that performs being overly nice to the Monroe type out of a misguided sense of principle, rather than a sense of integrity. That could probably be said for many of these retweeters.
I think when people meet her she comes across as this poor small urchin so the bigger famous people pity her and send her these tweets, when shes talking of struggling.
I think of shes still very much on the edge of her recovery then she needs to find something less triggering to do and build on her recovery. She can still support the causes she loves by donating money and other donations and by retweeting their names and donation pamphlets. She doesnt need to say or do anything else. There are better more stable people that can do it for her.

... pity donations through patreon
Spot on, her patreon donations are made because people pity her. She should be ashamed.

Everyone I know that is either experiencing difficult times, or have in the past, hate the thought that people pity them. Jack revels in it.

Go to any cancer treatment centre and see how many patients feel sorry for themselves. Pity is something they do everything to avoid.

His paws are filthy. 🤢 Has the kitchen not been deep cleaned while she was whizzing up and down the country or at her (low paid) job.

What's Florida Orange? It sounds like something from the 70s when a tiny glass of orange juice was served as a starter in the Rio Stakis steakhouse
Literally orange juice, lemonade and a bit of lime. There’s a restaurant called Tomassi’s in Southend that serves them. My grandparents used to go there every week and it was my nans favourite drink (am I Jack?) https://www.tomassis.co.uk/restaurant-menus. Tomassi’s has been in Southend since the 1930’s so the drink could well have been on the menu since the 70’s 😂
I thought it was something a lot of places did but google is telling me different!

it’s like she’s wheedled to get that internet access because of “campaigning” and she’s going to tweet the tit out of it.
writing that it’s so clear she has an addiction and needs away from it 😞

Marcus is the headlining 'feature' on BBC Breakfast. His considered, humble approach to making a genuine change is palpable. The lad just screams honest intentions, his integrity is without question.
I hope Jack is watching and metaphorically choking on her Weetabix dust.

Fully agree about Marcus! A lot of people here have mentioned that Jack has no empathy, and it’s even more glaring compared to Marcus. He highlights the all the awful realities, but he also has projects that are so positive, like his book for young people, and Full Time Meals. I think this is because he empathises with kids who are in poverty right now, and knows the last thing they need is doom and gloom, (or even to be perceived as hopeless).

The thing with empathy is that you’ve never “completed it”, you keep learning it more and more as you go through life, and I’ve honestly not seen Jack show any development in humanity or consideration for others.

It's so depressing the way nothing ever changes with her. The well-worn pattern has been mentioned earlier (the 'campaigning' followed immediately by the allusion to trolls followed by 'burn out' followed by send doggos / Coop pics) but I think it's even more obvious after her ~break~. It's just existentially exhausting to witness.

I wonder if she ever considers macroeconomic factors in her wail to grift subscription model. The next year is going to be rough for a lot of people, including people who’ve always been alright, so imagine people will be reviewing every single payment coming out of their accounts 😳 will we see a step up in the beg? Wailing into the night about her 5th lost fiancé? A faked eviction? The cabal wait with baited breath x
