All we want is for her to actually write her crappy book and 'cook' her free fish 😭😂

I’m sad about the scallops, too. I rarely buy them because they’re so expensive and there’s loads of us. Over Christmas I seared x3 each and served with a garlic/lemon/white wine/cream sauce. I could only dream of getting a mountain of beautiful fish to feed my kids with, I would have been over the moon!

This is what pisses me off so much about JM.The Patreon income is more than my daughter earns working 37 hours for the NHS, yet the mistress of slop whines on and on about RENTING, and all manner of other crap, while getting what is for many people, more than their wages, for doing absolutely nothing. That comes on top of what she can make by sticking her oar into whatever she deems to be newsworthy, or making a crap job of sponsored work.

Edit... punctuation
I find her approach to her Patreon offensive. It's something which requires a lot of dedication and organisation and plenty of other people seem to be more than capable of running fantastic Patreons with really good rewards tiers. At this point, if squiggles are still being hoodwinked even though they're getting absolutely zilch in return, more fool them. She seems to treat it like a personal charity and wants the best for nothing.

seriously though what were they thinking, if they had actually bothered to check her social media they would see that her most recent fish dish looked like THIS

The only fish product she likes is tinned, or eggs of fish served with eggs of chicken. It’s their own fault and loss if they decided to gift all that lovely fresh fish to someone so clueless about what makes a nice dish.

In these situations, you can only hope that word travels fast and this will be the first and last time she receives a gift so generous.

I hope to god your Mum is nowhere near my son with that attitude. He has enough challenges already without a teacher who should know better making judgements.
I'm on a lunchtime grunka, so not sure where this will land, but just to say that my son is 13, he has ADHD and autism and we've encountered more staff working in schools that are not compassionate about SEN than we have that have been. Its a really poor state of affairs and talking to other parents of children with SEN over the last 10 years suggests that this is a real problem in schools today. So many teachers do not have the time to include SEN children's needs in their lesson plans and so many TAs have absolutely no idea about the SEN that pupils that they're supposed to be supporting have. So far in my (not so)SB's schooling, we've come across two TAs who really understand autism and one teacher who was able to include every child in the class in their lessons. Secondary school is a nightmare, and the attitude of some teachers is frankly disgusting.

🔺 As parent of someone ACTUALLY AUTISTIC, her performative bullshit really pisses me off. I mean, I do have an issue generally with self-diagnosis and wearing a label like a badge of honour, but JM can just absolutely get to duck with her ‘99% classical autism’. It’s even more bollocks than being 90% vegan
Totally agree. My D has been through testing... her masking is very good shall we say but she struggles particularly with food and relationships, empathy and some sensory stuff. Im so pissed at these bandwagon jumpers. Her and Vonny LeClerc who also claims She is autistic have no idea. Pisses me off.

99% classical autism....oh do duck off.

I work in the world of SEND 📐 and these types of anecdotes are just not helpful to anyone with ADHD. Just because more children have a diagnosis of it doesn’t necessarily mean their parents are trying to ‘label’ them - diagnostic criteria and assessment has improved, understanding and recognition has improved. These kids aren’t just energetic or forgetful - it’s more complex than that, and it’s aggravating to read that a high school teacher who spends all day with kids with ADHD can be so invalidating about their needs 😔
We have more difficulty convincing parents that their kids might benefit from being assessed - and some want to keep it secret from their kids. When you've got a kid who is literally bouncing off the walls, can't stop moving, can't stop tapping, can't focus for long enough to hear a five word sentence and/or shows enough characteristics of Autism for it to be practically a case of going down the list and saying Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes... - and then Mum or Dad chips in with an offended HOW DARE you suggest my child isn't perfectly normal, you're just tit at your job, they're perfectly fine at home, you're just picking on them to make it sound like it's not your fault/other protected characteristics are the reason why you're doing this/you just want an excuse to kick them out, it's really depressing, as you know that a) if they had that assessment, they'd be able to access additional support, special arrangements for examinations, less helpful staff would have no choice but to take their assessed needs into account during lessons and b) the poor kids would have an answer for why they find school/people/life in general so hard and it's not because they're fundamentally thick or a bad person.

Lots of misinformation in this post. I'm sorry that your mum has that attitude, given her role.
That post (the one you quoted) does raise some interesting points though if i'm understanding it correctly?
What stood out for me was the abuse of the system (in some cases) by the wealthier better connected parents?
I could be completely wrong but for example the disability tokenism that jack displays/uses could also be used by other parents because (and i know this sounds very judgemental so apologies but tattle life has opened my eyes a bit?) they can get mileage out of it use it (like she does) as a get out of jail free card?
Also and i know yet again this is dark (but abuse of the system is dark) it could even be a peverse way of saying look my child is special (needs).
You know the whole thing jack does as if she is a kind of maverick savant genius?
A kind of disability elitism if you will?
Also that almost places parents beyond reproach because you see they are part of the marginalised/discriminated against as well so who is anyone to critique that?

Also as regards to adhd diagnosis could it be (and i can't believe that i'm writing this but watching actually autistic jack has made me question everything) that basically some parents just don't want to take responsibility for their childrens behaviour and now if challenged can chip in with ###'#' can't help it they have adhd/asd?
I can imagine some narcissistic economically rich but time poor parents doing exactly that?( bad parents happen in any social or economic class but and its a big but those who are wealthy can still use their clout as justification/excuses or protection in a way that frankly poorer people can't?)
Also if their child gets diagnosed they can then bring in the experts get specialist help to manage their childs behaviour (almost be loco parentis?)

Could misinformation be part of the problem also?
Yes i think your right?
Although it struck me that in RobinsNest's post that maybe the mother who should have got a diagnosis for her son (yet it was thwarted and made difficult?) was maybe angry that she couldn't get help for her son (who maybe deserved it?) yet some other pushy parents whose kids maybe didn't show very obvious symptoms of adhd yet managed to obtain a diagnosis because money talks or maybe as has been said previously that going private could give you a better chance of getting the desired outcome (result?)

This is a complex and sometimes emotive issue that affects a lot of us?
It definitely raises questions about ethics and responsibility about both doctors and parents?
Also in dicussing this issue i'm not saying for example that one person is right or another person is wrong (or even that i'm right?) but i agree that sometimes even within the health/social/educational sector there can be well very outmoded or not very useful attitudes?
I'm not refering to anyone on this forum but i've had my own experiences with my boys or even myself of people employed to help us (be it for diagnosis respite benefits therapy or otherwise) who had a very judgemental and not very helpful almost rigid and authoritarian attitude themselves.
Parent blaming (shaming) yep it still goes on? To clarify this i would say the term shaming is relevant when for example someone has a closed mind and if you will have the attitude that parents are already guilty and its up to them to prove otherwise?
I'm not using the term shaming as the gaslighting response as used by some so called influencers (the wounded pride of a narc)
Think of for example the refrigerator mother theory coined by leo kanner but popularised by bruno bettelheim and you will get the picture.
Unfortunately i think that had a big impact and influence even though we are supposed to know better and be more humane and be more discriminating about both diagnosis and treatment not everyone is?
I guess what i'm trying to say is that even within the system itself there is still traces left of misinformation even prejudice (even though it has changed a lot?)

Thats why (and i never thought i would write this as a former frustrated parent) looking back i'm glad now that it took time and investigation and the gathering of lots of information.
Thats getting (seeing) the bigger picture i guess? (not that there isn't room for improvement hey it only took 4 years in one case from raising initial concern) but anyway if its thorough its more reliable and trustworthy?
Yes Jack you can trust people who take their time and do the job properly?
You cannot trust people who are results orientated expect everything in a hurry or who think they are entitled to demand the response or diagnosis that they deseve or want because at the end of the day it should not be up to them to decide that?
It should be the doctor or specialists decision?
Or else the very people who have done the things ethically and correctly end up getting tarred with the same brush and then the whole system gets discredited?
If that happens then what are parents supposed to do or how can they get help for their child if they don't even trust the people who are there to help them?
Basically some charlatans are undoing all the good work of others simply because they are not patient and are not democratic and would push themselves and their concerns to the forefront just because they deem themselves and their children as more important than other people's?
Sorry for typing out a long essay honestly i didn't mean to its just its something that needs to be spoken of i think (thank god for tattle life).

"Out of office on" :ROFLMAO:
She has to tell people to put "Urgent - action needed by X" in the subject lines of their emails because she doesn't bleeping read them. She wouldn't last a week in a proper job.
She finds that video so funny that she will watch it on repeat all day. While most people found the first 30 seconds mildly amusing, quickly changing to irritating, then, turn that bloody annoying queen off. (I am allowed to say queen, I am one 🙃)

She would be the first to call out the stereotyping of gay men, and rightly so. I watched it again, to the end this time, and found it quite offensive. A 1970's portrayal of a gay mans behaviour not far removed from John Inman in Are You Being Served.

What makes me sad about the fish situation is thinking about the wastage. A parcel of fish doesn't randomly turn up on your doorstep, does it? She probably would have been in correspondence with them and agreed to accept the gift. If you know you couldn't use it fresh, why accept it at all? Even in a £3,000 Smeg, fish won't keep forever.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if she had eaten at least some of it. After all, nobody could survive on the crap she photographs and says she is eating. I believe we never actually see what she does eat, all the maverick stuff ends up in the bin.

I'm laughing to myself because I've just remembered the time when Jack whipped her Twitter followers into a frenzy over her vegan crackling recipe which, to this day, still has not been made available to the public.
As a vegan and back then I was a proper fan of hers, I was gutted when that recipe didn’t emerge. It’s when I began to realise she may not be all she claimed.

Re ADHD, one of my children has it along with autism. He was diagnosed with both in Southend btw.

Mainstream schools are awful with children with special needs imo. I worked in a main stream school 🔺 & I couldn’t get over the attitude some teachers had to children on an EHCP (or Statement in the old days). I reported one teacher for calling a kid stupid but because I was support staff, it got nowhere. 🤬

Ah, her Rachel Johnson cosplay stage
She is on that new programme, Britain’s Best Home Cook.

With Ed Balls.

Was hoping for socially distanced fisticuffs.

All we got was that heart chest pump thing.

🤢🤢🤢.

ETA I’ve read this back and realised it makes no sense unless you’ve watched said programme with all the contestants showing love for one another pushing their hands out of their chest in the shape of a heart. Today is turning out exactly as expected.

@MancBee I completely agree with you about the video she posted. I cannot express myself well today so will not try to add anything else. Thank you for writing what I was feeling so eloquently.

Gosh Patreon. £3.50 a month. That’s over £1000 a month. At least. Ffs. Never realised how lucrative that could be. Even though I’ve been reading these threads for yonks I just didn’t quite believe it was such a cash cow. 😡
