I still wouldn’t buy Del Monte products if I even liked tin fruit you paid me. We boycotted those fuckers in the late 70’s early 80’s for profiting from apartheid and they made masses of money on the backs of poorly paid, shockingly treated black South Africans that they never paid back! The “man from Del Monte” was their white South African businessman who made millions. The twats also treated workers like tit in other African countries.

She was born into the middle classes, and expected to go up the social scale rather than down. It is why when she had a brief period in relative poverty (she never lived in absolute poverty
Anyone else would have just got on with it and when things improved be thankful they got through it. Many get stuck in poverty with no escape. She was lucky and had opportunities very few get. She squandered them and will forever blame others for her failure to capitalise on them.

She has mixed with the very rich and famous. She has lived with a millionaire. She has lived amongst the London elite. She has had friends in influential positions in the media. She has had time in the spotlight and been the darling of the Guardian. She has had a taste of high life and can not understand why she no longer rubbs shoulders with the great and good.

She thinks she deserves better......she doesn't.

As a keen observer of pineapple prices, this is not well timed. Delmonte pineapples are £1.10 a tin. Before lockdown they were 2 tins for £1.00.

Jeeze that whole letter from her is a massive pile of cringe. Made even worse by the fact that if any of it is true, she could have prevented a lot of it by telling SBs dad or her own family how she was living. If I couldn’t afford to feed my kids or heat their room at night but I knew someone in my family could there would be no question of me making sure they were staying somewhere safe and warm until I could sort my financial tit out.
