I reckon something else has fuelled this, but something she can’t mention.... DK not asking her back? Landlord saying nope to using the shed? Argument with partner? Son’s father not happy at attention given. So many things, but I don’t think it’s anything to do with here
It was lashing out, nothing more. Something kicked off and Tattle was an easy target.

In Jack’s defence, she initially offered Katie Hopkins the option of making a donation to a migrant charity (I think the false comments about JM came shortly after KH had made her appalling comment likening the people who had recently died trying to cross to the UK to cockroaches) and issuing a public apology. KH refused to do either, and so they went to court.
I agreed with how she handled the KH thing. KH was being appaling. That is true harrassment - sending her thousands of followers to JM on a complete fabrication. And yes, she did offer her a way out. KH deserved everything she got.

However, what KH did is in no way comparable to what happens on this thread.

A) this is an anonymous forum, so no one is riling up thousands of followers to attack her
B) the vast majority of people here do not engage with JM directly at all
C) it's made clear that everything is speculation (and the only reason we are on thread 10 now is that she give us soooo much on social media to work with. Let's compare it to JO - it would be quite hard to have a lengthy thread like this going for a few weeks, because he keeps his private stuff private)
D) tweets and posts are screenshot for posterity and she has been caught in many inconsistencies on here (limegoss article). These are facts, not fabrications
E) very occasionally someone on here posts something deeply unpleasant (the he/she/it comment) and gets called out on it immediately. Rightly so.

The criticism of her has been based on what she does/tells the world about herself. If you are in the public eye, and constantly make big and bold statements (you are transgender, you are vegan, you are immunocompromised), you should not be surprised that people listen and ask questions. If you don't want to answer them, that's fine. You don't have to. You also need to accept that some people don't like your food. That's within their rights.

I've mentioned this before. I've published a few books. When I first started selling them and got some reviews on amazon, I couldn't wait to read them. I was hooked on them. When some were negative, it really destroyed me. I wanted to respond. I knew it was unprofessional for an author to respond, so I didn't. I felt anxious for a few weeks about it all and then made the decision, as an adult, that those reviews were none of my business. They were written for other readers. I have an editor who gives me feedback on my work. I trust her and respect her feedback. A review is not feedback to the writer, it's helpful for the reader. I have not read a review of any of my books since. Social media comments you are not tagged in are not for you. There are for other social media users.

Jack, I strongly encourage you to stay away from this forum and come up with a social media strategy that keeps your professional and private life separate. For your own sanity, stop mixing the two.

This, and also I’m sure I read in one of Jack’s many interviews that she tried to back out at one or more points but couldn’t because she’d signed a ‘no win no fee’ contract with a high profile specialist libel lawyer, so she would have owed them all her legal fees up to that point and she couldn’t afford it so had to press ahead. I think the lawyers exploited her to a degree, of course she’s an adult but I think they saw a profile-raising opportunity and managed to pull it off.
Great post, the lawyers were as ever the real winners in that case. Sure Jack felt good when she won, but I doubt it was worth all the hassle for the victory and kudos. It's ridiculous that the system allowed it to go so far. What happened to overhauling the judicial system to be more like eBay disputes?

I agree that the lawyers did probably exploit her to a degree, for them it was a fun case to raise their profile and take down a much disliked public figure. I don't like either of them as people, but I'm not blinkered enough to not see when they're taken advantage of. Whether they deserve it or not is another matter.

Brands? Employers? Co-workers?

Absolute gibberish.
What brands does she work with?! Apart from Sainsbury’s until she was dropped

Looking forward to this.

Interesting how much more active MT is on Insta since DK finished, (just an observation M'Lord, not drawing any conclusions, none at all.)
Yeh. I didn’t post any fotos with her on Instagram the whole time

The problem is then you look back over the harassment Jack caused to Jamie Oliver, and she's not really that different to Katy Hopkins at all.

Absolutely spot on (bet it’s not just me being desperate to know what books you’ve written!😂). You have hit the nail on the head!

When people see red, lawyers see green. There was a lot of very distasteful tweets after that. Thing like buying a new sofa and saying look what Katie bought. Everything has to be in the limelight, nothing quiet. Everyone has to know what is going on in every aspect of her life. When my husband saw that pic the other day of her taking a bath, called her a heathen for not putting any bubbles in it.

When Jack and Allegra McEvedy split up, it was because Jack had come out as transgender.

If - if - her current relationship founders, it won't just be 'we've gone our separate ways, nothing more to see here'; it'll be because of a massive mental breakdown caused by supposed online bullying.

Just in time for the depressipes book.

Well much to my utter delight, my husband took another bloody ham out of the freezer (we only have one freezer), which I have replaced with a chicken. I'm up to my ying yang in ham now.

Unfortunately it's the same with most of these people (famous or not) who live their lives out on social media for everyone to see.
Life is oh so great and fantastic and wonderful until suddenly, one day, it's not anymore!
The tit hits the fan! Everything turns to rubbish and they either go quiet or start ranting to everyone about how unfair life is.
No love, it's not unfair. It's just life. That's how this thing works you see. We have good times and bad times. Nothing is ever perfect.
Just because not everyone else is living the highs and lows of their tedious life through social media every single minute of the live long day, it doesn't mean other people aren't experiencing the exact same tit.
They just choose not to shout it from the rooftops.
It's called having a PRIVATE life. And it stays just that. One which doesn't open itself up to comments, good and bad.
If you're going to put it out there then expect to receive peoples opinions from both sides of the track.

Can anyone smart get depressipes into a thread name?

Would she have been rejected because it's a name of a plant?

Quercus depressipes
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quercus depressipes (known as depressed oak[3] and Davis Mountain oak[1]) is a species of plant in the family Fagaceae. It is found in North America, primarily Mexico and the United States.[4]

Range[edit]
Quercus depressipes is found on mountainous grassy slopes, at elevations of 2100–2600 meters (7000–8700 feet) above sea level. Its primary habitat is in the Mexican high deserts, in the states of Chihuahua, Durango, Nuevo León, and Zacatecas. In the United States, Q. depressipes has been found only in the Davis Mountains in western Texas, particularly on Mount Livermore.[3]

Didn't she do some tv commerical for Samsung and a write up in Waitrose magazine? 2 companies who probably wouldn't touch her now with a 20 foot grater.

Yes, I remember this. She was giving interviews in which she said that she felt sorry for Hopkins, that she bore her no ill will, that she'd love to invite her round for a meal. People were falling over themselves to praise her magnanimity. But over on social media, she was crowing about her victory and Hopkins' misfortune... and has continued to do so, every so often, ever since. Incredibly ugly and hypocritical behaviour.

So she did in 2016! Bit rich her talking about being authentic and passionate  in her samsung ad. She's had years to turn herself around into a brand friendly person if that's what she wanted to do but she'd rather be a keyboard warrior and stick out a begging bowl.

Even when she got the BBC show she tweeted just to tell people not to harass Hopkins, I don't think anyone was and it was just another way to try to cause a pile on and remind people. She never owns her shady behaviour and is ever the hypocrite.

If I would have won that 24 grand or whatever it was....I would have gone off quietly with my boy and invested in some skills, cheffing or something. It is the gloating and chirping about it now and then that is so distasteful
