Has Jack said what his literature specialism Would be in his masters? I know he wants to do English Literature but which time period/ area of?

If I'm not mistaken his Master was something related to screen writing or creative writing? Or at least he has stated in the past that screen writing was something that interested him.

He won’t be able to do much traveling tho which was most of Jade’s and Holly’s content during their gap years ..


Btw did anyone see that Ruby Granger is a guest contributor to his stupid book? She reposted his story and added a link to her blog to the recipe that’s in his book Why would I buy it if all the information is already online?

His company chose to use Hermes as the courier, so yes Jack, you do have involvement with them. Your side needs to ensuring that the products reach your customers, not washing your hands of them the moment they leave the printers.

Totally agree about the state school stigma being a thing of the past - I went to a state school, and it was in an area where the average house price is £400k. Just because you went to a state school Jack, does not mean you're from the 'hood' or representing impoverished students in any way. Not with an accent like that... State schools in areas of social deprivation are more the issue now.

Yeah I've got a big milestone bday in January. I've gone from planning two big once in a lifetime trips to likelihood of being in my house on my own with a balloon

So, was thinking about the Oxford thing. What a load of BS about that course being the only one he liked the structure of. Surely English Lit courses can't differ all that much?

also, didn't his brother also go to uni afterwards? he says that he's a 1st generation uni student as if his parents could only afford for HIS tuition, and he was the chosen one, when it's obvious that his parents can afford both his and his brother's expenses...

I think it was the modern literature course, 1900 - present. It looks like they receive about 170 applications per year. Someone I know studied this course and they were an outstanding student, averaging 85 at undergraduate level. Interestingly they did not enjoy the experience because they felt Oxford was not the best place to study modern literature as the strengths of the department tend to be in earlier periods. Obviously this is just one person’s perspective.

Also, what I meant by him being irrelevant is not so much his new content, but all his previous stuff is going to have less relevance to modern students in the covid era

That's why I always have my webcam on when I attend any online event (unless everyone is told to turn them off). Jack is the type to defer a year solely because it's online.

He must be earning loads from YouTube so he should stop complaining about not being able to get a job. He doesn’t need one and there’s so many people losing their jobs and trying to find new ones because of the pandemic so really Jack should think himself lucky that’s he’s able to earn loads from home with relatively little effort

I mean I guess it's reasonable for him to want to build his CV since his channel seems to be dying and those low quality planners can provide for him for so long! Also I still find quite misterious how he has so much money

am i the only one who found it odd that he didn't say which country was he supposed to travel to? it is as if he was interested in that other country just for the sake of being "ABROAD", not because of the culture, food, people, etc.

The supposed 'Prestige' I suppose but it really doesn't matter anymore. A degree from any good university will stand you in good stead for the future. I'm always surprised they aim for Oxbridge and not places like Sheffield or Manchester - they are just as good universities and a helluva' lot more fun as a student.

17£ is standard I’d say. As soon as you want a “nicer” planner they tend to get quite pricey ...

What’s wrong with a regular diary? A couple of quid in any stationery shop or newsagent. Promoting the “need” for a £17 planner is just irresponsible.

he is so out of touch. The thing is he is soon going to be irrelevant as generations coming through are not going to want advice from someone in their mid 20s as it will all be out of date (which with covid it already is) and he will be classed as out of touch with freshers. Being a student influencer in your 20s will be weird...and he wont be any help to mature students (like me) as it's a completely different experience

It is definitely weird, but people still give it a go (i.e. Rosie Crawford, still calling herself a "recent graduate of the university of Oxford" at the start of every video even when it's over a year since she graduated)

Sorry Jack, campus university students also "actually live in the city centre". It's only in first year (at most universities) that they live on campus. How much research did you do again?

My campus uni didn’t have first year accommodation on it a lot of the ones I visited didn’t either why didn’t he say usually or likely too
