Ahh Karen, just another insulting nugget in the big pile of misogynistic slurs that only women seem to attract including harpy, biddy, spinster, bitch, crone, hag, witch, fishwife, nag, cow, mare etc etc etc.

The younger ladies of today will be the hags and spinsters of tomorrow, and will undoubtably have a couple more new insults de jour added as well.

I want JK Rowling to keep writing as she’s bringing so much attention and scrutiny to the taliban-in-spirit mob that seems intent on erasing women, girls and Karens alike from public life. The crazy thing is, you really can’t absurdum ad reductio the mob’s arguments, the absurd is their argument such as gender-based blasphemy laws, erasure of female anatomy from science and so on.

Even with eating disorders it was never like this. We never encouraged anorexic kids to keep starving themselves if that’s what they truly believed they needed to do to be who they truly were’.

People don’t think twice about literally stopping their children’s growth and development with puberty blockers though (actually off label cancer treatments). It’s completely normal and healthy apparently to stall your child’s crucial development towards adulthood, so they can then skip puberty altogether and go through faux puberty via cross sex hormones that render them infertile with a myriad of health issues down the line. Completely and totally normal, nothing to see here.

Thinking Rowling wrote a well-reasoned essay doesn’t mean a person is transphobic.

I’d rather all children express themselves as they wished and enjoy safe childhoods within supportive communities where they can have varied interests without gender streteotypes about ‘girl’ things or ‘boy’ things. Any children who experience gender dysphoria should get care and therapy if needed to help them as they grow. Then, when they are adults, they can make the decision to make permanent changes. That’s just my opinion. It’s not one many in society have and that’s fine. But it’s what I think.

I take issue with the media and the trans push saying trans women are the most vulnerable and such victims of violence. Yes they have a crappy time but this isn't men on women violence it is men on men violence.

Yet again women are forgotten about.

Amnesty international can fuck right off. They have constant campaigns regarding trans women not going to all female prisons. So biological men should be allowed in female prisons where the majority of inmates are the victim of abuse and sexual assault by men and their penises!!!
Just fuck off
Women are being silenced yet again.
The problem is lots of men won't help the fight until sadly it effects their daughters or wives.
Even women have called me transphobic and put men's rights before women's rights.
It's retrograde
Everyone I know seems to take this extreme stance with trans people and that Jk is a monster. Makes me wonder if I am an awful person as I disagree with so much of it. Lol.

I think you need to reread my posts to let me know where I said that. As I actually agree that there are situations like that which need sorting out.
Toilets for example I see are a worry for some maybe making the handwashing area more public? so its not a hidden away area?

The post you quoted was aimed at a post about 'violent men dressing up as women' whichever way you look at it thats a transphobic comment.
I wasn't aiming that at everyone here as I've read plenty of posts with valid points
I remember the confusion I felt in the showers at our local gym, hearing a male voice just outside the door ….
Only to find it was a woman transforming from being a man. She was friendly, a nice person, but.....
It put a lot of members in a tricky place, particularly in a gym without individual changing rooms!
What do you say? How do you say this makes me feel uncomfortable, without sounding......unkind.

It’s not even an opinion or a belief. It’s a scientific fact that trans women are biologically men and trans men are biological women. It’s us that are being asked to go along with ‘beliefs’ and airy fairy nonsense in case it gives someone the ‘hurty feels’. If you ask me to use a pronoun different to the evidence that’s in front of my eyes, I will do so out of politeness. But ‘woman’ is not a feeling, neither is it the way you dress or how long you grow your hair.

It’s absolutely astounding that it’s got this far, but I think the vast majority (if they read any of JK’s writing on this) would actually agree with what she’s said. Policy makers should start remembering that Twitter does not equal the real world. And the more stuff that comes out about this, the more people are going to peak trans.

I think back to the heady days of the 1990s when the majority of men you weren't interested in and were getting a bit creepy would at least fuck off if you told them you were lesbian if you were with a female friend (even if you weren't gay or 'with' that friend). At least then, to be told 'That's OK, I'm a lesbian too' as per Jim Davidson, you could tell them to fuck off and the chances were that you'd be supported by everybody else in having autonomy over your own body and choices. And if that didn't work, you could hide in the bogs without them following you or get the bouncer/staff to remove them for hassling you.

These days, not wanting to sleep with somebody seems to be OK, as long as it isn't somebody who was born in a male body (and may very well still have one), at which point it becomes an act of psychic violence towards the other person that has to met with misogynistic insults (Cunt seems to be the most frequent one) and threats of violence and of being destroyed in terms of home, employment and safety.

It's very reminiscent of Incel language. It's very reminiscent of the language of a rape culture. A toxic male culture.

Just as NAMALT, NATWALT. But some very vocal ones, some very powerful ones, are.

They can buy me a TERF badge and I’ll wear it on my coat if they want to spread the term that much. It’s funny, imagine being *that* person whose only contribution to a forum is to call someone a little name made up by a bunch of extremists.

I think transphobic is too strong a word for how a lot of women are feeling. I’m happy to be polite and use female pronouns for someone who feels they are a woman despite biologically not being one. I’m happy to pretend I can’t see the stubble or the wig or the ill fitting clothes on the people who do not pass well. Why would I want to hurt someone who is clearly mentally unwell?

But there’s a line to be drawn when women are losing their rights. When women can’t compete in sports without biologically male people being allowed to join in. When women can’t use a changing room knowing there are no penises present. When women can’t access a rape support group because visibly biological males are allowed to attend. When lesbians are called TERFs for not wanting to have sex with a penis.

JK might be a shit stirrer but at least there’s someone publicly saying the things a lot of women are thinking.
👏👏👏

It’s a bloody bike ride. All cyclists can fuck for all I’m concerned.
Really? So that's your argument. Wow!!!
Women have trained and dedicated their whole lives to be professional athletes and a man comes along and basically makes a mockery of the whole thing.

And then you have women just saying it's A bloody bike....wow oh wow

Was searching for a JKR post this morning after last night on Twitter! Also agree it’s brave as it’s not the popular opinion..
I'd disagree and say hers IS the popular opinion, just not on the cesspit that is Twitter.

But that's exactly what you want, because in your mind, trans women are men.

Anyway, I'll be honest, I'm scared of so much hatred (masked as fear and concern) from typical Karens who think they're fighting a feminist fight. I fully disagree with all of you and will now, genuinely, leave you to celebrate yourself and Rowling. Carry on.
When you use terms like “Karen”, you’re not really helping matters are you?

To use the old adage; It’s not an airport, you don’t have to announce your departure.

ETA - Women wanting to defend and preserve the rights that were hard fought for them by those who came before them is not a hate crime. Being branded a “Karen” for it is both childish and wrong. It seems that most people who disagree with our stance can’t even answer the questions posed to them here or are reduced to petty mud-slinging.

No matter what anyone's thoughts on JK Rowling are, that headline/story is a total disgrace. The Sun doing what they do best, gutter, gutter "journalism" if you can even call it that.

These people are beyond crazy now. In that recent long Twitter thread, I clicked on the persons profile who it was in response to and read their original tweet and the replies.

I kid you not, one of them was slagging of the HP series because: There wasn’t a single counsellor in the whole of Hogwarts even though Harry had witnessed someone die in front of him and was obviously going through trauma. 😳
These people utterly pathetic. I think the real problem is that most of them don't have a job or anything more important to take up their time so they just tweet rubbish all day to try and validate their sad little lives.

Another one bites the dust. 😡
Yes i read that, utterly disgusting.

Gender disorders (or whatever the PC name is) used to very rare. Now we are told many children are confused about their identity and are being pandered to with hormone treatment. In my view this is totally wrong. That decision should be made when you are an adult. It's not wrong to hold this view.

It's like a new fucking fad. 10 or 20 years ago they would have all had eating disorders.

Apparently the 4 authors who left JK Rowlings literary agency after they refused their 'reeducation' demands have gone to the same literary agency that publishes Tyson Fury the homophobic racists book so they arent choosy. As long as you dont question the trans agenda you can crack right on.

Neither side is going to budge so a compromise like male, female and unisex would be a good start. But there are plenty that are hell bent on getting into the women’s loos...

Quite the massive leap there to eating disorders which are classified as a mental illness which have nothing to do with my post.

Many trans people have mental illnesses as a result of their gender dysphoria and feeling unable to get access to a body they feel happy with.

Read about turner's syndrome, triple x, kilnefelter etc. Rare doesn't mean it doesn't exist. And these have nothing to do with gender dysphoria. I was simply showing that biological sex isn't binary.
Not a leap. There is research suggesting that many of those with gender d

You cannot actually have any dialogue or debate with such ridiculous conclusions.

Trans can do want they want ....lop off their willy , be mentally unwell, feel a victim but when grown men use my showers or toilets fuck right off.
I've experienced it several times and it's an invasion of space and safety. Women's rights are at the bottom of the pile.

Last star was Caitlin Jenner being made woman of the year, in sexy lingerie, pouting on the front of a magazine. It's disagraceful.
This is what our girls have as an example of a 'woman' we must aspire to be.

Men rule and unbelievably some woman allow it under the belief they are helping everyone ...luv you're fuelling misogyny and allowing men to keep us down
