I do hope Snowy and Salt can forgive Ioan for the letter. I never read or saw it but apparently it was quite harsh? Clearly he believed Alice back then but now it's clear it was all her bullshit and lies.

The letter was pretty awful, and also most people were/are sure that she actually wrote it herself. Reading some of the 113 pages of her demented abuse did soften them a bit.

People like Alice are really good at finding someone they can manipulate and control and really digging in, I’m sure her eyes lit up like Christmas when she met Ioan. Back then it was like being gaslighted (Gaslit?) though, we felt that inserting herself into his fandom should have been a huge red flag for everyone but a lot of people were acting like it was completely acceptable and normal.

She is a grifter who took the money he put aside for his daughter's schooling to fund her film. I will call out adult grifters because they hurt people all around the world. I would never call out young children because it take a certain type of person to lay into young, innocent and defenceless children.

Society needs protection from grifters. A wife is not a grifter. A woman who hangs out in bars looking for a meal ticket to HW is a grifter. This woman took his daughter's specialist schooling away so that she could fund her film with the money.

LOL an elitist school is definitely specialist.

The grifter can walk away anytime she finds a new source of income for her lifestyle and her film. She is using him and he is an old fool.

I wonder if she will stay with him if he can't get her film funded and his money for all the holidays and her living expenses run out?

If you don't want to date, you don't have to. This is one area I do agree with Alice on. My mum never dated after her divorce from my dad, it was entirely her choice, and she did it for the sake of her children. I am not surprised given how she was treated by my father, she found her own independence and never wanted to financially depend on any man again.

I am happily married, but I know that if anything ever happened to my husband I would not want another relationship during my children's minority years, and afterwards I may have relationships but I would never remarry or co-habit ever again.

That's not what Alice is saying though? She says she isnt dating because of the kids. She makes it sound like she would love to date otherwise (so long she isnt getting told off by the new partner lol)

Of course kids are a reason sometimes (I wouldnt openly date in the first few months of a seperation for sure, but beyond that they will have to learn that this is part of life and going against it is not the way to go in life), but I somehow have doubts that Alice does this for them. If she even is making a active choice here: I'm not that convinced that her unfiltered form is as high in-demand as she makes it out to be (and whether the offers she has are people she is attracted to).

She knows that dating somebody would make it harder to be the sole parent she wants so desperately to be, and she knows that the kids will be (initially) upset and thus start to gravitate back to have some affections for their dad (and a bit less for her than now). She clearly isnt very keen for this from everything we've seen. And I also doubt that she would stay single in order to be financially independent from a man (that is a great reason), she clearly doesnt want that either.

This is exactly the truth, it was a bad idea for Ioan to get involved but if it hadn’t been for Alice it would have worked out really well for him and his fans. I don’t blame April either, hindsight and all that. I think Alice already had a little group of flying monkeys out there trying to direct the conversation even back then (we called them sea monkeys) because there were people joining the semi private e-mail list I was on telling us we were bad fans if we didn’t kiss her ass. The owner of the list, who was initially agreeing with April saying listen guys, Ioan’s girlfriends are off limits let’s keep it polite, eventually got tired of the attempted takeover and said- you know what? Screw that she’s made her own bed. After that it was a free for all.

The site was good for his career. I think AE said that his agent told him to pay for it. After all, PR agencies charge a lot more and do a lot less than April was doing. So it was a business move for him but of course mAlice was seething with jealousy that SHE didn't have a fandom apart from a few FMs. So she wrecked it. It was a massive red flag (along with the engagement story) and still he married her. Also, while I think she wrote that stupid letter to his fans, he signed it off so has to take responsibility for that.

Anyway, as soon as they wed, his career tanked and now he has become somewhat famous again but as gossip fodder not as an actor. I also don't think this will ever end. AE has already broken the TRO and we know how she likes to nurse grudges....

I do think if the court hearing goes ahead (this week or at some point in the future), then based on the evidence submitted Ioans petition will be upheld. Alice’s reputation will be trashed and she will have an adverse finding against her of abuse. The only question is whether Alice challenges it. If she does then more evidence will come to light and her reputation will be totally trashed and the adverse finding maybe more significant.

Her legal team really need to keep things out of court. Ioan may want to keep things out of court as well. I am sure he doesn’t want any more dirty laundry washed in public for the children’s sake. I doubt he is that worried about her “ lies and revelations“ because he spiked those guns with the first petition and she has done her worst anyway.

I do wonder if there have been legal negotiations to resolve things (access, custody and the divorce) in an effort to ultimately avoid court. That would explain a 3 month delay to give her another chance to try to adult.

But I think it’s been blown up by her posts this weekend. Or the request was considered and rejected anyway before then. Rightly because she is never going to comply with anything. But at least they know and can prove that now.

Clearly at some point he was besotted by her. She had a hold on him and he was there for it. Perhaps there was something she could say or do that destroyed his career. Look how she’s behaved post divorce proceedings.
