I’m WAY behind (I’ve just got halfway through the last thread), reading with horror and dismay.

Loopy’s ‘article’ was upsetting on many, many levels. That he put a photograph of a minor child on there was hard to stomach. And this paragraph:

“Ella Gruffudd is growing into a determined and well informed young woman who will not take one step back in her defense of herself, her sister and her mother. I salute Ella Gruffudd and the brave see her.”

was by far the most disturbing. Not only has this literal child got Alice weaponising her, there is now pressure from a ridiculous uninformed moron in another country to stand firm and not relent. I can’t believe a grown adult who has nothing even to do with the situation would write and share this. And reference to self harm. This will likely appear online for the rest of her life.

at the end he says he wrote it without input from Alice or Ella. So he’s taken it upon himself to share grotesquely personal details of a child’s alleged abuse online, where that child and anyone else with internet access can see it.

I'm reading DAM's tweets from her rampage a few hours ago, and really, she has lost it. She's absolutely fucked herself. She's also utterly obsessed with Bianca - it's truly terrifying.

The more she tweets, the more she gives herself away with her writing style and the information she knows. But she seemingly doesn't give a fuck. She even created a couple of new socks. She hasn't had a Twitter rampage for months, so this is like an addict getting high again after a long time.

There are going to be serious consequences for her now. She probably thinks nothing will happen to her because Ella has requested a restraining order and she can hide behind that and claim Ioan and Bianca are the abusers. But no, that will not stop what is going to happen to her.

I’ve emerged again from my pit because I’ve seen a lot of posts talking about Ella’s personality, and how she’s an Alice Mini-Me.
I used to be an Ella.
When I was in my early tweens/teens I went to a private school with a lot of wealthy kids. My father had just discovered alcohol and was rapidly working his way up to 3-4 bottles of wine a night. My mother had become hyper-religious in response to all the abuse. I had no-one at all. Being autistic didn’t help. (I’m not at all implying that Ella is autistic - I’m referring to my situation.)
I lied like mad and said I was rich because I wanted people to like me. I wrote someone a horrible anonymous letter. I even stole something from school. I took pound coins from my father’s coat pockets to buy my mother ;and even him, to get him to like me) presents, to stop her pulling away from me.
I can’t believe that I did such things now, but I’m kind to my younger self and realise why I - she - acted that way.
I wanted my mother to protect me from my father, not in essence leave me. I wanted my narcissist alcoholic father to praise and love me - more than that, I wanted him to recognise I was a valid and valuable person in my own right. I wanted an ally, not a mother who was off completing her interrupted (due to my father) education or a father who was endlessly self-pitying and self-victimising.
I blamed my mother because I felt abandoned. I acted out horribly in front of her because she was safe.
I’m not a carbon copy of my narc father and Ella is not a narc copy of Alice.
I pulled away from them both in the end. I didn’t rekindle a relationship with my mother until I was in my twenties. I can be cordial with/to my father but the damage is done, and it’s ineradicable.
Ella is angry. All she’s done - taking $400, hacking, this latest stunt - is actually because she WANTS her father. She needs him. But she needs to keep her dangerous ‘mother’ sweet because, for now, she’s stuck with her. She feels completely abandoned. IG put on his own oxygen mask first. He came back with a live-in girlfriend. Ella’s been dealing with her mother’s’ self-pity and addictions. She knows she’ll never get real love from Alice. She feels IG no longer loves her and has moved on with BW.
She’s a kid. A kid in horrendous pain. I think that if IG steps away now, she’ll go on to a very dark path. She’ll attack someone who neither knows nor cares about her and face the full force of the law. Her ‘mother’ is enabling and contributing to this behaviour, rather than reinforcing early lessons about moral wrongs.
I turned out just fine. My moral centre is absolute. I break no commandment.
Please can we cut Ella some slack?

I’m interested in this post because I could so easily be an Alice.

I was a pretty, good-looking relatively indulged child. I’ve struggled with adulting and always made rash decisions and expected someone to swoop in and rescue me.

The big difference is when I realised this was not going to happen I did not become angry and vindictive, I put on my girl pants (very late) and whilst I still do not have my shit together I am living a much better life Alice.

We are all united in our horror at Alice's actions, and what she's doing to the girls, Ioan and Bianca.

Bianca is on steroids as part of her treatment for MS. Steroid treatment is no joke. Yet Alice thinks this is something to be made fun of?

I think Alice thinks anabolic steroids for muscle growth are the same as corticosteroids, hence the "angry Bianca slammed a door into my BABY" narrative.

This is the level of person Bianca and Ioan have to deal with. Supremely spiteful and dumb.

I’d rather be anything other than the Abuser. To paraphrase Catatonia, Every morning when I wake up I thank the Lord I’m not the Abuser. Doesn’t scan I know, but I won’t refer to her as anything other than the Abuser, or a Cunt.

I have just had a conversation with my Mum’s GP about putting a DNR in place for her. She is very old, has lots of illnesses clouding Alzheimer’s and breast cancer. Still, she is infinitely precious to us and it’s a decidion that is difficult to make. She has given her children nothing but the most incredible love and support all of our lives, and has taught us how to be decent and resilient adults. Any nonsense was drummed out of us at an early age as proper boundaries were set. I feel so sorry and sad for the Gruffudd children that they will not have this from their “mother” Will they look back on her life in years to come and know that she gave them as good an upbringing as my darling Mum has given us? With my late Dad’s help of course.

Alice’s lack of impulse control is always her undoing.

If she hadn’t threatened Ioan in writing or fired off all her drunken tweets she could actually have pulled off a stunt like this.

I agree, this is going to be her undoing. Instead of just letting Ella file the RO's, she was so full of glee and so short on impulse control she scattered the story and photos *BEFORE IT WAS IN THE LEGAL SYSTEM*. Therefore the ONLY people who could have disseminated the information were her and Ella. Alice has a direct link with Alison Boshoff, who ran the story with details that were not available in the legal system, and a direct link to Loopy, who released the photos and a detailed (if varying) account of what happened. This is the definition of harassment by proxy. Imagine how the judge would have viewed Ioan if he had 'leaked' all his TRO information to the media and onto SM BEFORE the documentation was legally submitted? She is just incapable of standing back and looking at things objectively and she is all about immediate gratification.
