I also think that all these influences moaning seem to forget that we are the people who are funding their cushy, picture perfect lifestyles. If we weren’t swiping up, viewing videos and purchasing items they recommended they would have to get a normal job like the rest of us! Change petitions mean nothing and this petition was started by a nobody that stuffed their head into a bees nest of drama and actually trolled people online and was surprised when she got stung back. It only gained traction because we allowed a thread on here and since then hundreds of influencers have shared it and helped promote the site.
Tattle isn't going anywhere but if it did another one would pop up instantly. Humans have talked about public figures long before paper existed, it isn't going anywhere.
Talking about people that make their living on social media isn't trolling. You can't overshare your life to court fame and only get praise, fame doesn't work like that.

I am really glad I do not follow any influencers. To be honest, the whole idea of them is a bloody insult to intelligent and truly creative people. These are people being paid a lot of money to promote other people’s brands etc.

And they have the cheek to say we’re bad when they’re doing that! These nothing illegal about this site but threatening people at their own houses that’s well out of order and i wouldn’t blame them if they got the police involved! The people whose homes they went to I mean not her mum and sister.
Going to an influencers house...what for..an autograph? a freebie ? That is just teenage stuff again...
However,I have been amazed at the number of influencers who actually hint ( or just say ) where they live and post photos of their area / house ..no wonder desperate wannabe famous people cant resist a visit.
Some influencers make it very easy to find out where they live etc. I'd never post someone's address on a website but I would certainly have a good nosey online to see what I could find out about the property.
I generally avoid commenting on people's looks unless they have had terrible work done or I am actually concerned for their health (for example if they look like they have an eating disorder).
People should have a platform to discuss the shady behaviour of some influencers as they earn a lot of money with their various ads af links and brand deals bumy making parts of their life public. They chose the pi lic eye as a career and that means you open yourself up to criticism. It doesn't help that a lot of them delete negative comments and constructive criticism from their own platforms and just leave all the a licking comments.

No it wasn't 'fans' turning up at the influencers houses. It was the influencers themselves (Megan and Faye Ellaby) going to the houses of people on here. They took their mum with them and told the posters they'd be threatened with legal action if they didn't delete their posts. Faye had also been doxxing people she suspected to be people she went to school with, posting pictures of them on the Ellaby thread and then tweeting about it afterwards. They're thick as pigshit

There has been one or two people that I have found a bit too much on here but apart from that, it’s pretty much just a discussion that these influencers can’t moderate. I think maybe only one or two threads have made me think it has gone a bit too far, but if you report the posts or call out the poster it usually gets settled.
Agreed. I’m not here to be a witch about the way people look or anything to do with their physical appearance but I do like having a space where I can discuss things that annoy me about certain influencers with other people who feel the same way!
If your account is public, it’s public for a reason. Because you want the followers, you want to build your account and achieve whatever it is you want to achieve out of that. Not necessarily fame and fortune, maybe you want to highlight a cause, something you feel passionate about, I dunno.

Christ! Driving to someone’s house to threaten them is far worse than leaving a negative comment. Why do these people google themselves and trawl tattle for comments about themselves, surely they’ve got better things to like post another 20 selfie pouts
If anyone tried that nonsense with me they’d soon find out who was on the wrong side of the law. Who on earth do they think they are? I’d never heard of them in until I came across their names in here.
I think a lot of influencers and YouTubers fail to understand that even those with millions of followers aren’t actually famous in the true sense of the word. You can have 10 million followers but there are many millions more who’ve never heard of you.
Something else these complainers need to bear in mind is that the individual threads wouldn’t have legs if the subjects weren’t greedy, entitled, lying hypocrites with thin skin.

this is exactly why I find it so funny when influencers try and get sympathy for having a thread here. It just encourages people to come have a read haha.I also think these influencers talking about it will naturally get their followers to come look and then potentially see them for what they are!
the other day a girl with a relatively low-response thread posted some screenshots and her outrage at what was being said about her. But picked only the ‘worst’ ones and not the posts that genuinely called her out on breaking lockdown rules.
We post here so it’s anonymous and a way of getting things off our chest without targeting them directly, but they take offence at this after choosing to come here and read about themselves? Tattle is no different to a group chat imo.
We need places like Tattle life, where you can express your opinions and not be censored (most of the time). There is too much censorship in this country already. Keep up the good work.

I’ve said before I went there after a mass mumsnet defection , initially it was fun and nice but it turned into a cesspit of hate and intimidation, I’m not exaggerating . I backed out slowly.
