Influencers being shady with their AD

More Jo Good covert advertising. Pretends she has received "generous gifts" in the post, making it sound as if they are personal gifts, when in fact she got freebies from brands she namecheck and gives links to.

Quite a few of her YouTube viewers are calling her out on it, screenshot here as she has form in deleting.

One item is from a fashion brand she has partnered with before, they gift to many influencers.

Jo Good is continuing to direct her BBC radio London listeners to her YT advertising platform, luring them with tales of her new puppy.

I have lifted this neat summary of the ASA's guidlines for influencers from another thread, I don't want pester the poster with an @

But this isn’t the only type of arrangement that counts. If you have any sort of commercial relationship with the brand, such as being paid to be an ambassador, or you’re given products, gifts, services, trips, hotel stays etc. for free, this is all likely to qualify as ‘a payment [or other reciprocal arrangement]’. There’s nothing wrong with getting paid to create content, but you need to be upfront about this with your audience

Both the ASA and the CMA advise using labels that say it how it is, in a way that consumers understand e.g.; • Ad • Advert • Advertising • Advertisement • Advertisement Feature Labels like this can be used with or without a ‘#’. Other labels are riskier, and although it will always depend on the wider content and context, we usually recommend staying away from; • Supported by/Funded by • In association with • Thanks to [brand] for making this possible • Just @ [mentioning the brand] • Gifted • Sponsorship/Sponsored

Blardy Vanessa Feltz has started tagging her dresses with the name of the company. One said gifted. Only been on Instagram about 10 days. Such a tacky account. 🥴

She was on her BBC Radio London show again this morning, boasting how many likes and follows she's getting, probable flexing her numbers to attract more brands to gift / sponsor / pay her. And she mentioned that the Daily Mail featured her IG post in the bath.

Maybe the Middle Aged Minx will be tempted to get in her tub with her new puppy, in the hope that the Mail will pick it up. She’s already talked to them about her being a mistress and her anorexia. And this. Modelling a little black dress with other women.

I wrote more about Vanessa Feltz on the BBC Radio thread.

She was warning people to not lean on their headboard/use it because you would dirty it and leave greasy stains and then need a new one. Fishing for a new one?

More non-tranparency from Jo Good. Advertising dog food without declaring it as an ad. For background, her old dog Matilda died of "a heart attack" then - in a stroke of good timing? - few weeks later she collected a new pedigree puppy. She had always called her Matilda "clickbait" and it seems as if Myrtle will have to sing for her raw supper too...

Let's not forget that Jo Good exploits her BBC radio show, on every episode she urges listeners to visit her socials, which are simply advertising platforms. The BBC seem to be turning a blind eye to this behaviour of many of its presenters.

If you look on the Paleoridge Insta account, there are many posts featuring Anna Webb and Minge (Middleaged Munx) separately. Both write for their newsletter.

On her weekly YT vlog today Jo Good AGAIN pretending she's not advertising. Using all her old excuses "they just sent it to me" "it's not a promotion". "ooh I don't even know where you can buy it" but she then inserts the brand link in the description box but doesn't bother putting #AD in the YouTube title She treats her viewers as idiots. She is umming and goshing and clutching her chest as she does when lying.

Dear Jo. If you receive ANY benefit, gift, fee, consideration from a brand IT IS AN AD! You should be embarrassed by your unethical lack of transparency.

The above post showing Jo Good saying 'this is NOT a promotion' for the Keys beauty stuff was early in vlog.

Later in the vlog she admits to "professional unboxing". She gives it the full QVC presentation with item displays and descriptions, referring to the link and mentioning its availability in Harrods. She then pitches it AGAIN at the end of vlog.

This was no accident, it is her usual sneaky MO, it went like this...

The tease....she first fakes that she's so chuffed to show a nice gift she just got in the post. She expressly denies it's a promotion (see screenshot in earlier post) and claims that she doesn't even know where you can buy the products then .........BOSH hit'em later in the vlog with the full sales pitch shill, links etc.

Hey Jo Good! If it's not an AD or promotion why do you do it? Is it actually just a hobby or public service to your followers?

If it is an AD... do the decent professional thing and be transparent with your "community" who you claim to value, and put AD in the YouTube title and the banner saying CONTAINS PAID PROMOTION.

The way Jo Good runs her socials is NON-TRANSPARENT, SLEAZY AND DISRESPECTFUL. I am shocked that no one goes into her YT comments to say this, her viewers really must be dim. She also uses her BBC radio show, giving shout-outs to her own social handle in an effort to attract more eyeballs to her online ads. And why TF did she make a token mention about "dark skin"???

Tara Maynard is constantly sharing AF
Even pawning her child off and pretending to be cooking in the kichen
She's always linking her own brand Milana studios .
Kelly Fitzsimons - missellamayandmommy
Started off selling bows and now sells her soul .
Every single story in an AF link . The majority of her clothing links are clothes made in the sweat shops in China.
Also , Kellys mate The Unlikely Stylist shares AF links but hides the AF up beside her profile . It's only when you hold it in place you can see it .
A girl named Bev is behind that account and around Christmas time she bought aload of items off Aliexpress or Shein and sold them in sets for quadruple the price

NI Insta huns are the absolute worst for this! Maybe it's because we don't buy into the whole influencer lifestyle and anybody doing it gets the piss taken out of them, but why so secretive and sneaky? Just own it and admit you get freebies and are paid to promote something you would never pay for with your own money!

Jo Good again. On her flog today she talks to her 'community' (who she barely engages with), supposedly addressing criticism of her advertising. This her usual type of bait'n'switch. What elderly MiddleAgedMinx doesn't address is the fact that the criticism is all about her non-declaration of her ads by labelling them compliantly for the ASA and YouTube transparency guidelines. In her tiny mind she probably thinks she's deflected it so then goes on with an ad that she pretends is just an item sent to her because she is friends with a certain MUA. If it's just a personal.present Jo why the aff link?

This woman 'dog expert' (not a vet) Anna Webb is always advertising on her Insta without declaring her posts being Ads. Dog food, leads, accessories. She promotes herself on Jo Good's BBC Radio London show, they are as thick as thieves and have the same sneaky and non-transparent approach to the advertisements. "ooh check out our socials for pictures of our dogs".

OT but good to know, both of these selfish women put their dogs' bare bums on seats and tables in cafes and restaurants.

They are mutual users of each other. They also don’t make the breeds they have sound like a desirable companion, ( mini bull terrier, and English bulldog). Anna said last night that her previous bull terrier did not like to walk and she had to keep getting black cabs for her!🤦‍♀️

Time for Jo Good's weekly undeclared ad. She thinks if she says something is gifted she doesn't need to declare it as an ad.

Dear Jo Good, Showing and naming a product and giving a link (from which you'll benefit from click-through purchase commissions) =AD. Why are you not labelling compliantly?
