I’m just dropping on to this thread to send you love and positivity - you CAN get through this.

I’m so sorry for what your daughter is going through on top of this. Perhaps you could make a ‘worry monster’ for her. Each night she can write her worries down and the monster will gobble them up. You can buy them online or just use an old teddy. May help to give you an insight into what’s going on each day so you can relay to the teacher and helps her to get her worries off her chest - fingers crossed you and her get the support you both need.

Take care xx

I am in a similar position to you. It's horrible watching people together and having fun. It makes me want to cry! If you create a thread I'd like to know what people do to keep themselves busy. I have never been great at enjoying my own company 😣
I know, I've generally been grateful for my own space at home but no, this is too much... I'm quite new here so I'm not able to make a thread, if somebody who can could I'd be grateful x

I’m so alone
I feel like I have nobody to talk to
My husband has gone away until February time when he goes it’s like a light has gone off inside me.
I have two beautiful little girls who I adore and they keep me busy but come bedtime I just cry and cry.

I have a good few friends who try keep me busy but lockdown is just killing me inside

I can’t go on anymore
Keep talking on here, we are all here listening, supporting and wishing you well. ♥

Awe
He’s in the Middle East. He’s in quarantine at the moment so we can kind of speak
But once he’s moved from quarantine it’s difficult.

it’s very a complicated situation.
He didn’t want to leave us and I begged him to stay but duty calls.

I just feel so sad and alone
My dad has PSTD so can’t speak to me about what I’m going through even though he would understand and my mum who is my childminder/support bubble seems to think that I’m dramatic even though she would understand how I feel if she just listened and didn’t dote on the grandkids!

I seem to be in a lone situation amongst my friends who think I’m being dramatic.
but it’s so hard to explain how alone and afraid I feel to anyone

sorry for rambling
Awe don’t say sorry 😕 I never know what to say to people sometimes but you are not alone in how you feel right now and hopefully even chatting on here helps a wee bit. 💕💕💕

I’ve done CBT was doing great
It’s hard because one of my closest Friends her husband works away for 2-3 weeks offshore and she thinks I’m belittling her or having ago when I say how much I’m struggling
I’m the type of person who doesn’t want to offend or fall out

I bottle it all up and then explode
It might be worth having another convo with your friend & telling her what you’re telling us, exactly how difficult you’re finding things as I can’t imagine she’d still feel that way. Every single person in your life loves you lots and wants you to feel well, no one is going to berate you for struggling cos it’s an entirely normal part of life.

have you got any other friends? Are there any support groups online for wives whose partners work away you could reach out to?

Why doesn't he just say she's messaged to see how Im getting on or something. Hes recently joined the Navy fulltime from the reserves. His phone was beeping a lot earlier but I put it down to his sister messaging on the group chat because of the snow (idiot)

I know exactly who she is and what she looks like even the town she lives and her husbands name. They're not friends on social media (FB) so Im a bit stuck there.
It looks recent aa his mood has been ok up until today when hes gotren grumpy easily and making excuses to get out the house... Probably to message her back knowing full well Id kick off 😂🤣
Instagram, linked in, Twitter? Have a look on all of those would be my advice. Wonder what her hubby would think?!

I don’t know if this is any help but could you get a dog? Do you like dogs.. 😂 have time for one? They are great companions , especially at night time when your kids are asleep Something extra to look forward to in the day? As they are always pleased to see us and gives you a reason to get out the house etc. I never feel alone when I’m with my dog 😂😂
I want a dog so badly 🥺
But with my husband away and me working 10/12 hour shifts I’m worried

although I know my mother in law would rather look after a dog than my girls😂

Sending some light and hope your way. Please hold on for your family. You probably know this but they would be devastated without you. These awful circumstances that we are all in are terrible and cruel for many but it is temporary. I hate the phrase “new normal” because it implies this way of life is permanent and in some way normal which it is neither. Keep talking, we want to know how you are.

At the moment it’s drop off in the playground so it’s hard to get her teacher for a chat
Last year her teacher was amazing she’s now deputy head and she knew that daddy went away for a long time she helped her through it when he was away!
This new teacher however knows nothing about our situation and now with my daughter saying people are mean to her because she doesn’t “have a daddy” it’s very upsetting
Tonight she told me that one girl laughed at her because her daddy didn’t pick her up and she was trying to make new friends
😢😢
That’s horrible! What the hell is being said at home for these kids to say something like that?? Is it worth going to the now deputy head and explaining what’s being said to your daughter? She may be able to have an assembly or something about single parent situations so all the children understand? Makes you wonder if the girl who said it is having trouble at home/her dad isn’t around and she’s hurting, but of course that’s no excuse to say that to someone else! Is your partner in the forces hun?

That's sad. Tell her to ignore them. Are these her class mates from last year? Doesn't she have the same ones every year as they move up years together? I know how hard it it to speak to a teacher at drop off or pick up time so maybe ring or email in the school and request a call from the teacher or head teacher for you are your daughter. She can explain what going on and her teacher will help

Sorry to butt in but I'm an only child too! I'm at home at the mo with my Mum but I'm usually in a shared house for uni. Things got very lonely during lockdown even though I lived with others, I hid away. I was too scared at that time. I'm so glad things have gotten better, reading your earlier post touched my heart. A lot of my anxiety lately is about thinking about the future, and how the fact I'm not in a relationship means when my parents pass I'll be alone (no siblings). So many scary thoughts. Stay strong ❤
I'm having these exact thoughts lately, It gets so overwhelming... I'm only out of a relationship and even when I was in it had that sense of when they're gone I'll really be all alone and nobody with share the same emotions of losing them with me... I know it won't be today or tomorrow but some days during this pandemic it's just consumed me... It is a comfort knowing I'm not alone in these thoughts ❤ hope it is to you as well ❤

as for your daughter..is it possible to talk to the school or her teachers or get to the bottom of it? Sorry to hear she might be being bullied ☹❤
