I have met a few rugby players and socialised with them when I was younger. Mike is definitely like them. Faux-macho, a cold arrogance and an irrational disdain for others, especially those they feel threatened by. When they eventually speak it is either drunken, macho "banter" (which is code for male bitching), or it reveals that in fact they can be a bit thick, have no opinions on anything of substance, and actually have very little in between their cauliflower ears. They hide their insecurities with toxic masculinity and drunken debauchery.
I realise I am making a massive generalisation and I am sure there are some rugby players who are nice blokes, intelligent even. But none were that I met.

I find it quite annoying seeing Matt be spoken about like he’s being annihilated in the thread - he’s got a bit of a fan club here! Which is fine lol like people can feel any type of way about him.
However, people call Sue and Charlene conniving evil witches, and it passes without comment, but if you say anything negative about Matt Hancock the defending cycle starts again. I think it makes the thread a little bit repetitive at times. he’s probably more ardently defended than any of the other controversial figures in there.

Because he hasn’t done anything evil and conniving IN CAMP unlike the other two who don’t get their backgrounds spoken about. What’s outside the show is irrelevant
Also the continuous assumption if you like him *on the show* you are a fool who has been conned by him, as opposed to someone capable of making your own informed opinion based on (and only on) his behaviour on the game show. He’s a good camp mate, noone said he should win pride of Britain.

Exactly. I had some angry faces on my comment last night about it being a reality show and not here for politics. You vote for who you want and I vote for who I want simple as that. Calling people names and telling them what to do is wrong. Free choice after all. Just enjoy the show for what it is. Light hearted entertainment show. It’s not that deep

None of them have done anything evil ”IN CAMP” tbh. Im generally not in the mood to talk politics when I’m here but I wish people would just ignore negative comments about Matt if they expect people to ignore the positive ones they make about him.

Yeah but people are defending because the negative comments aren’t about his camp behaviour. People would jump to Mike’s defence if there were loads of comments about the royals etc even though no one’s a huge fan
Not sure I agree with all the figures the sun's article from a "pr expert". They say Seann will make 200k, Matt 500k and Baba 500k. Meanwhile George, Chris, Sue and Charlene will make nothing. Chris already makes 1.5million a year, I expect he'll pickup some new listeners to X.
How do they see Mike making (an extra, unneeded) £1.5m??
What a ridiculous post. My dad played professionally and many of his friends did too. I've been to RL dinners and met loads of players over my 66 years. They are funny, sportsmen, hold jobs like everyone else. Anyone can drink alcohol - even me!!!! Do you?
When dad died a trophy was given in his name, and players of all ages from their 30s to 80s kept in touch with mum. They are loving, caring, normal people who shouldn't be associated with clap trap from people who don't know them.
Not sure on who i want to win wasn't bothered between jill or owen but owens really let himself down for me in the last week so I'd rather him not win but dont think Jill's done much more to win either and if Matt wins it that'll be carnage which i kinda want to see at this point 
I’d read the bottom part of the post. They clearly state it’s a huge generalisation and there are good rugby players out there. Don’t take it to heart.
Twitter is still in meltdown over Matt making the final. I find it quite amusing.
