This morning Iain was trying to encourage Jo to take her socks off to have a "toe wrestle" with him.

Yikes, poor Jo. 🤮 This is happening at work, in plain sight of colleagues and within earshot of hundreds.

Things have moved on a bit since the early 00s. Women don't tend to just put up with things when they feel icked out by senior men at work.
Shocking, isn’t it?

What can you do ?

It’s not the easiest thing to take a stand. Even if you are 100% behind your conviction…

It does have ramifications… probably.

I really hope he didn't swindle his mum out of money. My opinion of him is fairly low at this point, but that would be on a completely different level to pretty much anything mentioned here previously. He's always spoken about her with such fondness.
Apparently, he set up a DD.

He told everybody about that…

I assumed he had COVID since he'd had a "sore throat" this week. Maybe picked something up at the glamorous awards ceremony when he was mingling with the Take That tribute act.

Miranda Sawyer, a friend of TLNA... Miranda Sawyer says she wants both to 'tighten the laws against paedophilia' and to 'lower the age of consent to 12'. The age of consent | | The Guardian
I kind of get what’s she’s saying. Kids shouldn’t be prosecuted for experimenting. There are probably lots of undeserving teenagers with sex offences to their name. Also, she is in support of harsher punishment for any adults that abuse kids.

TBH, these newspaper reports do tend to gloss over facts, in order to gain attention.

as for being a friend of TLNA…. Hanging is not good enough!!

Who else knew that the cure for Covid was receiving cash from Patreons? Iain, if only you had told everyone this in 2020.

And oh, another Tweet Delete?

This bit from the post above

Which is why I think Eyan is going to slowly try and destroy Jo Summerbell's confidence, I can see the early warning signs, because Eyan knows she will be a successful presenter.

I don’t listen (cos he’s a creep) but understand this is the newsreader that he refers to as the ‘ new’s girl’ and enquired after her ‘melons’. FFS, not doubt followed by a sorry…

Wonder how that sits with Katherine’s feminist view point? (answer: she will ignore that bit , as per de rigueur).

Hope Jo is rolling her eyes, hope she get’s it’s him .. not her, when she doesn’t play along.
She has a great solo show that blows Iain’s out of the water.

Maybe that’s the problem .

She’s too good.

He can’t cope, he doesn’t like it, so this dismantling of someone’s confidence begins… again.

Standard behaviour for him.

He does it EVERY time.
You've summed it up perfectly, "dismantling of confidence". That's precisely what Eyan was setting out to achieve when he publicly humiliated Jo Summerbell over being late for the news. But, he tried to make it look "humorous", to cover his tracks, when it simply wasn't funny. It was nasty.

I can see through Eyan like an open window. I've seen identical in the workplace. Does Eyan think he's that clever he can disguise his motives?

Dismantling someone's confidence by ridicule and public humiliation is the oldest trick in the narcissist's "How to Bully Handbook".

What does Kaffbo think about what Eyan is doing? She fully understands exactly what Eyan is doing so can't claim ignorance, especially with all her feminism thought and Maya Knews.

I'd suggest she's rather happy with watching Jo being treated like this and fully supports Eyan in making Jo feel uncomfortable and causing her anxiety.

It's another classic behaviour: Kaffbo is the victim and takes great pleasure in watching Eyan doing it others, in this case Jo, as that's what people with Kaffbo's personality are like.

She would be lovin' it like a McDonalds. ba da ba ba ba Kaffbo's lovin' it!

Kaffbo is not a happy person. She's a massive downer. A good mood blackhole. Good mood energy vampire. She's always been like that.

Kaffbo and Eyan remind me of a film called "The Cooler". Summary from Wiki: "unlucky Bernie Lootz works at the Shangri-La casino as a "cooler" - a man with near professionally bad luck, his presence at a casino designed to stop people from winning".

When someone was winning too much at the gambling tables, the casino management would send Bernie to sit next to the player who was winning and he would act as a bad luck charm and turn a winning streak in to a total losing streak.

This is what Grumpbo Kaffbo is doing vicariously through Eyan. Kaffbo is letting things play out through Eyan to pull down Jo Summerbell. IMHO.

Kaffbo call Eyan out? Not a chance, she will encourage Eyan by letting him get on with it.

Jo Summerbell is happy, talented, independent, rather attractive and a successful lady. Everything Grumpbo Kaffbo isn't.

So of course Grumpbo Kaffbo is going to hate Jo and not stop Eyan from making Jo's life difficult.

Kaffbo's morals are not particularly nice, despite all her Maya Knews, Kaffboisms and high feminism.

There's nothing innocent or humorous about what Eyan does. He always has an agenda. I can see Eyan's agenda heading towards punishing Jo Summerbell because he fancies her and she has no interest in him. Plus Jo reminds Eyan that she's everything that Kaffbo is not.

This reminds Eyan that all he's got is a Grumpbo Kaffbo and that's the best he can do, when he would really like to be rumpy pumping the lovely Jo Summerbell.

I've seen all this before in the workplace and that's why it's all so predictable. I've dealt with identical before in the workplace and with total success. Eyan's nothing new to me.

Question is, "Would Eyan dump the Grumpbo Kaffbo in a heartbeat if he could convince Jo Summerbell to dump her boyfriend and be his girlfriend/subordinate/victim?"

I'll leave that for others to answer...

Tuned into Jack FM to see who was covering and it was some woman who had a pre recorded interview with some woman from Gavin and Stacey about how she liked her toast. It was dire.

Be interesting to see how quickly Eyan bounces back from the Covid and whether his frustration of being ill triggers a depressive episode or something equally as dramatic.

Wasn't the Ruth Jones interview with Jo, a competent local newsreader who's getting an amount of praise on here that baffles me?

To be fair I wouldn't really expect much at all from a morning cover show on a small local radio station that nobody listens to. It's not exactly Radio 1.

Yeah your probably right there. When he's on form and if you can set aside everything else that's happened, Eyan can still put on an entertaining show despite back to back ads, local news and weather, a song by Travis and more ads.

Really good analysis. Perfectly summed up. I recently got out of a relationship with a narcissist- the insidious dismantling of confidence is truly awful - being on the receiving end of it was a very confusing experience. The only way to get out of it is complete non contact (which must be difficult with children - thank God I didn’t have any with him). You lose sense of yourself and who your were…it’s crazy - and men like Iain and my ex target ostensibly independent, attractive, intelligent and successful women. I don’t know why they do it. But there are similarities between them…I few spring to mind immediately….

This "relaxing" of the age of consent movement is gaining momentum amongst the Left.
It is said that is to protect children who engage in sex with other children from criminal charges.
It is a sinister development to allow men access to children who can then say the child consented.
Tatchell ,who I had a lot of respect for in the past, is also an advocate for such a review of the law.
Old Peter wrote glowingly about a story of a paedophile and his boy lover.
(The rebranding of paedophile to Minor Attracted People is ongoing.
Both NAMBLA and PIE were also looking for legitimacy.)

There is definitely a deliberate attempt by him and others to blur the lines.
"Queer theory" is gaining ground in education.
Children are witnessing Drag Acts as well as deviant books in their school libraries.

As for Miranda Sawyer.
Well her type are to be found Hollywood supporting Roman Polanski.
Or turning a blind eye to Eric Gill's incest, statutory rape and bestiality.

That article is from 19 years ago. What relevance does it even have to anything and why was it posted in this thread?

I don't really know what the panic is with drag acts reading stories to children in libraries. I remember as a child watching drag acts every year. They were called pantomime dames back then though and nobody seemed to have a problem with it, even though almost everything that came out of their mouths was a sex reference.

Exactly. There's nothing wrong with kids learning about LGBT things in an age-appropriate way.

Anyway, Iain's still off. Jake Yapp is in charge. Seems a nice enough guy, but I don't like his voice....

The relevance to this thread is someone mentioned it earlier.
The difference between Christopher Biggins as Widow Twanky coming out with double entendre way above a child's knowing and some oversexualised performance by a grinding nonce are world's apart
Reading library hired some "harmless" Drag artistes for a kids literacy drive.
The performers turned up in costumes with their arses on show and 12" strap ons.
And that is amongst many such cases.

I as a parent do not want my children seeing an act that's for adults in a sleazy club.
As for you.
Each to their own.

When drag queens perform in clubs they don't sit down with everyone sat in a circle on the floor around them and proceed to read The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Different shows for different audiences, despite what the Daily Mail insist is the case.

Although I'm still not sure what that has to do with anything in the first place, or what relevance someone who wrote a line in the Observer 5 years ago recommending TLNA writing an article about the age of consent in 2003 has to do with anything either. Is Iain being off sick making people desperate for material?

What the hell is a "deviant book"?
Books that tell stories that involve sexual acts.
Mermaids and Stonewall are pushing such "age inappropriate" reading material to pre teens.
Anyway.

I'm aware this has strayed way off course as to Iain Lee.
But all the same I as a parent will always challenge the creeping acceptance of mainstreaming paedophilia.
Or grooming as it is known.

How about the case when some "act" sat down with his legs open "displaying" himself in front of primary school kids?

As for Iain.
Your right.
There's only so much to say.
I think the subject is well and truly covered.

What adults choose to see is their own affair.
I've nothing against Drag Acts.
Just not around the kids, eh.
