Interesting thread. After reading it and having all the “incidents” explained, one of the core arguments by one poster for the appropriateness of Huw’s treatment by the press and him potentially losing his job is “well, he cheated on his wife!”. Good lorttttt. 🙄😑

Proper Tin foil hat wearing anti vaxing, Covid denying nut job. As well. Then had the audacity to accuse people of trolling her when they called her out for it.

The whole article seems very ‘spinny’ because it leans neutral to positive. Only the good tweets are mentioned. I know from scrolling Twitter that the majority of tweets are actually still quite negative (about HE still getting his salary and lots of “not on normal courtyard exercise” accusations). This article just feels planted 🫣

Another silly non-article imho. Surely with the time that’s passed, even if he had been on the list for this award, they could have quietly taken him off in the mean time and just pretend he was never on it?

This is still the photo the BBC uses on their “Who we are” page 🥺

Exactly. Why all the non-stories and no update from the BBC or from Huw? 🤔

Guido is a major right wing political journal. Has loads of Hugh up sources etc. IMO it posts a lot of shit but that’s because it’s so right wing, but to give it credit they often have stories before they break properly. It’s a bit like Private Eye, but more angry and right wing.
This is interesting.

The only thing that can prevent publication is HE being actively in treatment and coming / going from a medical location and the photos revealing his location whilst so. Otherwise, as soon as HE steps out in public, he's fair game and his solicitor's warning shots hold no weight.

Oof, that would such an interesting trial. How is the BBC going to argue that they themselves weren’t party to the disrepute (ie The Sun story) by not escalating the complaints in a timely manner? Hmmm.
That's one reason why they won't do it, because it would lead to questions about things like that. They know they handled the original complaint badly.
