She's only a few weeks into her research project, how is there any need for an all-nighter?
Okay so now she’s talking about pulling an all nighter and turning it into a challenge. Holly that’s really not a good idea... she surely can’t be so far behind with her work that she needs to stay up all night to complete it? Or is she having to pull an all nighter to make up for the fact that she did something other than studying yesterday?
I genuinely feel like she’s punishing herself for missing a day of uni work.
Yep yep yep, you can really tell by the texture of her hair, even in recent videos. It’s really a shame, I think she’d look gorgeous if she actually treated her hair properly and wore it half-up like in her dark academia video. If she wasn’t so malnourished it would probably also be thicker and overall healthier lookingView attachment 578875First time poster here lol. But was rewatching one of hollys old video and her hair is definitely 100% curly and she is damaging it as treat treats it like straight hair. I think she would look so cute with natural curly hair. Just a shame she hasnt realised yet
Sometimes Holly’s videos feel like an alien trying to do what human students are supposed to do, to appear relatable. Honestly, if I were a student trying to balance my course, a job and living independently (which let’s face it, is what most post-grads have to do), then I think I’d find Holly pulling an all-nighter for the lols a bit insulting. If she’s already doing as much studying as she says she does in her videos, and sticking to her routines, I cannot see why she would need to stay up all night to do more work? She already studies most of the time anyway.
and if she’s just doing it for a challenge, it seems really silly to mess up her sleep schedule and promote unhealthy habits just for a video.
she seems to take ages to do things, I remember watching her taking lecture notes and she seemed to rewatch them numerous times and copy word for word the lectureIf she’s already doing as much studying as she says she does in her videos, and sticking to her routines, I cannot see why she would need to stay up all night to do more work? And imagine if/when she goes into the lab full time.. I work in a wet lab and like 80% of the time things don’t go right the first time and it required totally different skills to taking an exam or writing an essay (or even doing a data project)! Not to mention you are pretty much constantly working with other people and we all know how she does with thatOh dear. This just goes to prove my theory that Holly won't cope well at all with a long-term independent research project and unstructured time. It may not look like it but I think she actually has really bad work habits - she's ruled by perfectionism so she takes way too long to do things rather than going for the most efficient way. This combined with a lack of external structure and (probably) high ambitions for her research project grade is a recipe for trouble. And yes, taking a day off and then finding a way too indirectly 'punish' herself for it sounds very much like Holly.
It'll be interesting to see how she'll cope over the coming months. I hope I'm wrong actually
Why couldn't she stand up next to them for a normal photo? She looks like a little chicken crouched down like that in yellow. I bet she was doing the "dude" calls and gremlin voice.View attachment 580408View attachment 580410I’m sorry but I just thought of this when I saw it....
she is obviously so codependent to her family - I bet it's just how she was raised and her mental health make her feel like her family is the only safe space she has in the world, but is clearly trapping her from blossomingI don't know why but the idea of her going away from home and choosing to watch her sister's video while she eats her tea is the weirdest thing to me

Yeah, it gives me hope that she'll be able to grow and change in a positive way once she goes back to uni!! I think it's that she can set her own rules for herself instead of being forced to abide by her mum's - and also she's at more liberty to meet people and socialise rather than stay in her house.Only watched the first 5 minutes so far but man it's wild how Holly almost instantly seems more relaxed/animated/generally happier as soon as she's somewhere else - kinda reminds me of Australia Holly! Really made me realize just how much she's regressed in the meantime, living at home. (Also was fun to watch her eating her meal + dessert at the hotel and going on and on about how she "ate way too fast" but she was "so hungry" and it "tasted so amazing" - yes Holly, cause it was a real meal with seasoning and adequate protein/fat content for once!)
I don't think she'll be going back to uni though :/ And honestly, knowing Emily is still home, I'm not sure Holly would even move out if she got a job.Yeah, it gives me hope that she'll be able to grow and change in a positive way once she goes back to uni!!
