i wonder why she's showing him in a bad light then, and why he won't move home if he's not feeling -it- 6 months of being mostly living together in this intense lockdown you know if you do or can't love someone. I mean he must know he doesn't and, won't at this point. He isn't coming across well. Neither is she but...she's the one choosing what to show of him.

I really did like maff, I liked his YouTube channel - I liked when they lived in that condo together and he made her tea. YES they did fight, but it seemed like Helen needed that. I never saw a spark between her and mark

I always felt that Maff was pushed into doing a lot of things, he got such flack from her stans saying that he was using her to get his own YouTube and then Helen pushed him into doing creating a YouTube channel which was all controlled by Helen. He never seemed the kind of guy who was “in it for the fame.” And obviously wasn’t as we see now!
I really felt for him when he broke his arm, and understood why he had frustrations and how the anger issues could have got worse - he couldn’t do his carpentry and had to be out of work for a while. Plus Helen was editing in a lot of their fallouts etc at that time and even though he could say some mean things, I’ve always had a feeling that Helen can give as good as she gets, but obviously won’t edit herself in the same light.
He got such a hard time when he was setting up his new business, and everyone claimed Helen did the most and supported him financially. I dunno, to me Maff ALWAYS seemed like such a hard worker. Carpentry ain’t easy! Plus setting up your own business and getting established takes a long time and carries a lot of stress and uncertainty!
But like I said before he looks like he’s doing so so so well for himself these days, and even admitting that he got therapy for his issues is a huge step in personal growth. I think leaving Helen and her YouTube world was the best thing he ever did for himself.
I really like Maff too and I agree he is a hard worker and she always took credit and made him look lazy. He did most of the stuff in that house before she changed it!
When they broke up too, her stans went over to his insta and gave him hate because of what she chose to tell people. It was so hypocritical. "I don't wanna say too much cause I don't want people going over to him and saying mean things" *Continues to throw in digs at any given opportunity* - She still does it now!!!
I liked Mark too, and I'm glad he did whats best for him
I was about to suggest that perhaps he can't go home because it is him that needs shielding in the light of the above, but then remember they have been out to places like IKEA and without masks so it can't be that then.
However, as sad as it may be that he had an illness, and even though his family may be nice, it doesn't necessarily mean he's a great guy now and Helen certainly isn't portraying him that way.
I think my fave time for Helen's YouTube channel was when she was with Maff. I liked their dynamics. I liked the fact they talked to each other like a real couple. He made me laugh quite a lot. I loved when they both showed off the bedroom separately in one video and their different interpretations of it - Helen being all fancy and Maff being all blokey about it. Yes, he made me laugh and brought so much fun to her channel, and even though he wasn't desperate to be on YouTube, he participated a lot for her and that made it better. I also felt like when she was with Maff there wasn't this desperate attempt to show off for him or us. She seemed like a nice, genuine person who was getting on in life, growing, moving up. I haven't seen any of this with Mark or Phil. I think it started to go downhill when Maff proposed and then we had that awful period where she could talk about nothing else but wedding plans and Rock n Roll Kat. She pretty much froze him out of stuff by the time the big day came. But before that it was good. Best period for Helen. Lost now though I fear, she's evolved into something ugly and I don't think there is any way to reverse that, at least not without her realising what is happening. Such a shame.

I think it's interesting she said in a previous video that they had been together longer (in May she said they'd been together for 6 months), I commented on someone pointing that out here on May 26th:
In the recent video where she discusses what she has learnt during lock-down she said they'd been dating since January, so had only been together for 2 months before he moved in which means in May they had been together just 4 months. Why lie? It is odd he's continuing to stay there imo, the whole situation of her changing her house (new TV in the room after saying she'd never wanted that and renovating her garage, wtf) for him is ever weirder.
I know Helen likes to buy stuff but it almost feels like shes trying to compensate for something.

I always thought Helen came across as a lazy witch during this time to be honest. Maff was working a physical job, going to the gym AND he would walk the dogs before work. I never understood why Helen couldn't walk her own dogs? She was at home all day!
The what I wear hiking video has enraged me enough to make a tattle account in order to rant about it. She said that the down coat gives her the heebie jeebies, so why did she buy it?! That was a conscious decision to buy a down coat, I know that Rab make synthetic coats in a similar style because I have one!
She really is all about the brands isn’t she? Most people who are familiar with outdoor brands know that The North Face are much more of a fashion brand now rather than a technical brand.
