Ah, I didn’t know there was another Josie, I have only become aware of Helen in the last couple of years so haven’t seen the majority of her earlier videos.

In regards to Josie who house shared with Helen, I don't think that continuing to be friends with Helen is a sign of maturity, it’s just a sign that she has a high tolerance level for bullshit in people she cares about .

There's some very well known skaters on YT but one who is probably most well known was recently in a lot of shit related to racism in the community, she was exiled from it pretty much straight away I think, fired from her job in a well known skate shop too (racism related to Impala skates, which Helen has), I'd start with the channel above, she has absolutely everything there.

I skated when I was younger but recently took it up again, I'm really rusty but I haven't fallen over yet haha so I'm taking it as a good sign.

Wow her new video is about skating and she has linked my fav YouTuber in the comments. Not surprised she's bought Moxi skates, the most expensive (I know they're genuinely good skates but very £££ especially as she's new to it and tends to give up new hobbies quickly). She first said she's wanted to skate for ages but then said she's inspired by TikTok

Exactly right! She started with Hello Fresh but a week or two later switches to Gusto and was singing their praises for ages but now all of a sudden she's back to Hello Fresh because of the free grub #AD

I’m genuinely interested in which of these companies people prefer, so it’s times like this I wish these “influencers” would be honest and we could actually trust their opinions...

Not to try and hijack the thread, but does anyone here get either of them?? We get Hello Fresh but the ingredients are arriving with just 1 or 2 days left til they expire now

Not sure if this has ever been brought up but why does she go to the tip so much?!!!!! Does she realise she can leave extra cardboard out for the bin men when they come?!!! If it was the once after a big clear out fair enough but literally every week she seems to go and it’s so unnecessary when I’m presume she’s paying council tax towards bin collections... and she has more than enough space to keep excess cardboard for a couple of weeks til next bin day...

Oh my god I didn't know this my garage is full of cardboard, was putting off going to the tip til after lockdown. Thank you!!

I agree that she was stunning (pre-wedding in my opinion, especially when she went interrailing) and looked so lovely with that post-breakup bob, but that picture is heavily photoshopped and looks nothing like her, even her older healthier self.

Objectively, I'd say she's still naturally pretty now, weight gain or not, tacky hair cut or not, but over the past 2 years (since the breakup from Mark and the weird days she used to spend glued to Grace & her fella), and especially over these last 9 months, she's shown herself to be so inconsiderate (that's putting it very politely!!) that I can't help but subjectively see her as an ugly person.

I think she looked her best when she went to Dublin. Loved her style then too.

Oh man, I actually really like her top in that video Also I got one HelloFresh box and it was a total let down. They didn't notify me until the delivery date that one of the main ingredients was missing, the lemon was manky and the saffron powder sachet had been ripped open so I couldn't really use it. I did get money back but it was credit so had to use it by ordering another box. Gousto is meant to be really good though. I've also just placed an order with AllPlants who do vegan/veggie meal boxes so will see what that's like!

Yeah Gousto the food is better. I just use the intro discounts (no influencer codes) then sack it off after for the best value.

Love that @SHEEP, totally agree with most of it.

Not sure I agree with the fingers in too many pies analogy, to me, at least, Helen is an all rounder rather than a specialist and that was part of her appeal in the past as she was multifaceted and it felt relatable watching her try so many things. There were things she wasn't too good at but I liked that she tried and it wasn't always the same stuff. I love Sammi but she's so polished in her focus and Helen wasn't that, even at her peak.

I think she could do the same things that she's doing now, just with more effort and less videos that feel like they were thrown together for the sake of it (eg. 2 a month quality videos as opposed to 'look at my picture wall/spreadsheet', 1 monthly vlog that's more curated and not just her arse, weekly reels that are more engaging than her current ones, etc). Right now, it feels like her content is just hitting quotas.

It definitely seems like she needs to reevaluate and take a step to think about what she cares about in creating content so that her work is more interesting and feels genuine. Again, I hope therapy and anti depressants do help her, even if I disagree with the attitude in the recent video she made.

I'm on this sub to rant but I don't hate Helen, it just makes me sad and infuriated to see someone I rly liked become like this. If I thought she was a lost cause, I wouldn't bother here but I just want to vent tbh.

Idk I have 500 followers on my Instagram, most of my posts get 30 likes.. I think I'm at 16% engagement? Curious if engagement could be better than that

I really hope she isn’t pregnant - she is not fit to be a mother at this point in her life. Sometimes an unexpected pregnancy can be the making of people with chaotic lives but I get the impression Helen wouldn’t be that person. She has too many enablers around her to make sure she’s not motivated to get her act together.

I would hope if a baby is involved the enablers (e.g. her mum) would hopefully step up and say/do something for the wellbeing of the child.

Off topic, but on the topic of companies doing shitty things - can anyone recommend a company that does similar products to Lush? I don't want to buy from them after they donated to an anti-trans group (unlike Helen lol), but I really like their Ocean Salt - it really helps my skin!

Ooh any recommendations? Roller skating is absolutely a pursuit that I could not be less suited to - I nearly got a concussion trying to ice skate a few years ago and now the sight of a rink makes me want to cry (also maybe just me but I found that people who can ice skate are up there with people who can ski for not understanding/actively being dicks to people who can't - OK enough privileged-problems adolescent trauma ) but all of social media at the minute just makes it look so fun and doable
