Too add on to this I got put on citalopram after something happened to me which I won’t mention incase it triggers anyone at 23 and it was awful I refused to take it and took myself off it- please don’t do this, talk to your gp about other options.

Love that @SHEEP, totally agree with most of it.

Not sure I agree with the fingers in too many pies analogy, to me, at least, Helen is an all rounder rather than a specialist and that was part of her appeal in the past as she was multifaceted and it felt relatable watching her try so many things. There were things she wasn't too good at but I liked that she tried and it wasn't always the same stuff. I love Sammi but she's so polished in her focus and Helen wasn't that, even at her peak.

I think she could do the same things that she's doing now, just with more effort and less videos that feel like they were thrown together for the sake of it (eg. 2 a month quality videos as opposed to 'look at my picture wall/spreadsheet', 1 monthly vlog that's more curated and not just her arse, weekly reels that are more engaging than her current ones, etc). Right now, it feels like her content is just hitting quotas.

It definitely seems like she needs to reevaluate and take a step to think about what she cares about in creating content so that her work is more interesting and feels genuine. Again, I hope therapy and anti depressants do help her, even if I disagree with the attitude in the recent video she made.

I'm on this sub to rant but I don't hate Helen, it just makes me sad and infuriated to see someone I rly liked become like this. If I thought she was a lost cause, I wouldn't bother here but I just want to vent tbh.

Citalopram worked for husband for a bit but stopped working for him after a couple of years. Sertraline seems to be a better fit for him, with less side effects, at the moment.

Does anyone know if the blue jeans on Helen's story are any good? After a new pair and not really sure if I trust her recommendations but they look decent.

I have a couple of pairs! I do actually think they're fab! Very flattering, especially for the price! The only thing I'd say is they come up different sizes depending on the colour. My black pair is significantly smaller than the blue pair even though I bought the next size up- maybe that was just me, or maybe its standard and Helen only has the blue ones and that's why she likes them

I have a question, so if you see loads of "non-influencers" like Helen promoting stuff does it put you off buying it? So for example a wee while ago i saw the wild deodorant advertised by someone who i think is genuine and considered getting jt and now it seems everyone and their granny has received it for free so like why should I pay for it

I don't think there's a problem with buying more expensive skincare, but in Helen's case there's no point in her investing in her skincare when she can't even be arsed to do it properly and has incidents like the retinol. Her influencing literally always does the exact opposite it's intended for! Put me right off certain brands/products for life.

Don't know what goes through these brands minds when they do their influencer research Or they obviously aren't doing their research

I'm not considering getting into skating or anything, but I watched anyway. All she ever talks about about anything is buying and how "cool" what she's bought looks. I would imagine that her video is absolutely useless if anyone was considering getting into the sport. She briefly mentioned the wheel gauge (gauge?) which meant that it was good for skating outside. WHY, Helen? Explain stuff to people who are new! Also she didn't mention anything about what's happened with Impala, just that some "shit went down". What actually happened?

The shit that went down was related to the 2nd Youtuber she linked (Indy Jamma Jones), so it would have been helpful to explain what had happened before sending people her way in my opinion, to form their own opinions whether they want to watch her content or not. When the shit is racist behaviour, it should be spoken about, surely! The Impala issue was this. I need to re-watch the video I saw but I think it was that they didn't pay POC who worked with them, Indy ran a popular FB skating group and when someone mentioned this she deleted all related posts to the racism issue? Edit -

IndyJamma Jones came under fire for censoring a post written by a Black skater sometime around May 2020. She was fired from PRS shortly after a YouTube video posted by another member of the Facebook group explaining what had taken place went viral.

It was huge. As Helen has mentioned watching American skaters, she must know exactly what happened, she made it sound like the issue was with Impala's quality? Indy was a member of the Moxi Skate Group, worked at Planet Roller Skate who decided to part ways with her after this and even renamed their shop to cut ties with her (they make loads of Moxi videos).

I follow this girl on tiktok, and it just occurred to me that shes like a more put together version of Helen, so I looked her up on Instagram (amyinstag), and guess who follows her..... HELEN. Honestly, looking at this girls pics and outfits is exactly what Helen has been trying to look like for the last year. Amy even has a pic of those weird silver Elton John 70's boots from Helens music video, Amy posted them in September, Helen got them for her video end of Oct/Nov.
