A quiet word from Chuck in the Dean's shell-like would have put paid to this traitor preaching about how much the military means to him etc....
The Stoat shouldn't be in St Paul's and they should have found another venue.
The Bishop of London and the Dean might have signed it off, but I'd put money that they checked first with the Stoat's father and he said OK.
In Hindi we say 'jiska aur koi nahin hota uska bhagwan hota hai' (he who has no one has God), and in Urdu, 'ise dawa ki nahin, dua ki zaroorat hai' (medicines won't work, prayers are the last resort).
100% Charles is allowing this to see if they can maybe pray or exorcise the stupid out of Sparry. Although I don't know how that would work since he appears to be 95% stupid and 5% sly (proportions may vary)
Your English is impeccable, your posts are interesting and funny. There are always people who seem to get a kick from trying to put people down instead of working on their own failings. I love to hear your stories about your Pup and family as I have two dogs of my own. Certainly I would love to know another language, apologies if I have it wrong, maybe English is your first language. You come across as a very nice person so please believe in yourself.
Nothing tacky about wearing jewellery etc associated with the occasion, the Royals often do so. Princess Michael may have made a blunder or was it purposefully done, we will never know.
This is so very sweet, really appreciate every word and sentiment, thank you

English is my first language (I mostly think and dream in it), although it isn't exactly my mother tongue. Guess a lot of us grow up being multilingual without even thinking about it. We're in a predominantly Hindi and a certain regional language-speaking belt and all my educational institutions were English-medium (although I was actually bullied for speaking the language) so I grew up studying Hindi, the regional language, Sanskrit and of course English. Mum was proficient in Hindi, Punjabi and English, had studied German years ago, then added Urdu to her skillset. Dad's most proficient in English (his specialisation) and Hindi. I studied a bit of French (hobby class for a few months, mostly forgotten - I probably remember more than what Smegs does though

), picked up bits of Punjabi, Haryanvi, Gujarati, Bengali, Rajasthani etc from friends, colleagues and movies. My accent in all languages is really atrocious though

I tend to mirror mannerisms and nuances of language of whoever I'm talking to or am most influenced by at the time, so in spite of regularly training myself in Received Pronunciation or whatever, I just end up mimicking those around me. Currently that's people from Maharashtra (so Marathi) and Gujarat
Hinglish is basically what we speak on a daily basis - a combination of Hindi and English.
Since you know English, you're already using a fair bit of Sanskrit/Sanskrit-derived words. So you already do have a head start

Would love to hear about your little

sometime!
I really had forgotten about all the 'sweet nods' - I'm feeling quite assured now. Not going to bother to convince that friend (she did end up wearing the jewellery) since she was so rude about it. Let her be Smegsy-like

I'm still keeping her only because she irons her clothes
Hey I heard someone had made VIP! Was that you,

All-nighter mode tonight, thankfully I have one of my favourite horror comedies on tv to keep me company (Stree, for anyone who might want to watch it). And chocolate ice cream (don't worry, we'll still have plenty for the party)!
