My brother attended Eton from 13. It provided him with an excellent education and career prospects. However, his leaving our home at that age (I was two years younger) left a huge hole in our family life. Now, years later, he still calls it a huge decision in which he had no part, and in retrospect, he would have preferred a more normal teenage life. My parents made the choice because he was clearly brilliant. It has given him a spectacular career, but from my point of view, left him emotionally bereft — he is ‘all business’ but has never truly relaxed and enjoyed his personal life. I have spent years trying to assure him that the alternative for him would have been perhaps unstimulating intellectually - but I do agree he likely missed out on the emotional support he would have had at home. Poor little Prince George has no alternative, he was born into his career.
I agree - but I think he wasn't as bad whilst on proper prescribed medication and decent therapists who weren't chasing money and surrounded by normal family who loved and cared for him and his best interests and tried to support him (well as normal as the RF is). They knew he was damaged and tried to protect him as much as they could - which is what they have done wrong - but hindsight is a wonderful thing.bib: I wouldn't and don't. He is a nasty, spoiled, entitled, workshy self indulged idiot.
His numerous failings were well hidden by the Palace and the Royal family themselves. Left to his own devious devices he has shown just how monstrous he really is.
His wife of course doesn't help as she is a total narcissist and fantasist and I concur that she enables and encourages him, however I don't lay all the blame at her door.
He was a nasty git well before she came on the scene. Just a shame that his myriad of problems weren't dealt with when he was younger. He has now emerged as a thoroughly unattractive and bitter man.

It disgusts me she ever GOT a Gracie award! Why? Because the award was in honor of Gracie Allen (George Burn's lifetime partner!) Apparently Beatrice and Edo planned to call their little girl Lily as well until Megnutz nicked it for Lillibet. Not a single solitary idea of her own in that flipping empty head it seems.Probably because it was George's security code name or something. Whatever the Waleses have, they want, but bigger and better. They're like those siblings/in-laws who will 'steal' your baby name just to upset you.
