Don't worry, we've got a couple of court cases to get through yet and then I'm sure something else litigious will crop up.... Then D.I.V.O.R.C.E. and maybe a book.....Right, I'm going to say it ... I'm worried now. Worried because I can't think of anything else they're going to do now, so we have nothing further to discuss. I'm worried because unless they reveal the flatties or start their divorce, or Haz comes back to the UK, well that's it. And if that's it, then I'm worried that I'm going to lose you all, and we won't be together any more.

I've tried, a lot. Never worked out. Any 'friends' who liked me were "too afraid" to tell me until just before their engagement/weddings, and they weren't KC3 enough for me to do that to their partners. Also realised a couple of years ago that one of those 'friends' had ruined my reputation by telling people that I steal bfs, accuse male friends of bad things when I don't get my way, etc. He would contact anyone I would be talking to (small city, and men gossip) and spread more lies. So that's one reason why they stayed away.
I was always under tremendous pressure to top in academics, multiple extra-curricular activities, build a high-flying career, so no socialising, packed day, and always tense and depressed - no one wants that around. Any time I did find friends/interest, mum had a way of scuppering that. Sparry still doesn't know what a short leash is, in comparison. Parents aren't exactly very conservative, but it was a trauma response/fear caused by continued narc whispering/fear of society.
Then I started working the graveyard shift while simultaneously sneakily dating someone, but he turned out to be a grifter - minute the wealthier, more fun woman he actually wanted became available, he ran off. Tried a marriage pact with a friend but he married the woman his parents chose - dowry, promise to work (she never did), domestically adept. A couple of stressful years at a job where my only interactions were with younger students and narc boss and mostly women, followed by the pandemic so apart from the exhibitions (mostly women), I rarely have any interactions with 'people'. Joining classes etc isn't an option due to money. Working on survival right now.
Online dating isn't an option because small city, everyone knows everyone and everyone has done everyone
tried finding a groom online - would rather remain single basically, I'm at the age where guys either want someone way younger, or more established and secure, or most just don't want to get married. The demands that grooms and their families have are not something that I can fulfill. On top of that the baggage that I bring, no one wants to deal with that.
And honestly, I can't trust anyone now. My narc relatives have been trying to line up abusive in-laws for me for years. Also realised that even if I tried to marry by my choice, they would influence the in-laws through money/society/unlawful means. Difficult to find someone who is not swayed by all of that, particularly in this economy and political and law and order situation.
Was so excited when ex-crush showed an interest, but nope, I guess my friend was right that he was trying to make someone jealous. Yep, in our 30s people are still playing such games SMH.

From personal experience:
Take it one day at a time and concentrate on what you need to do today to make it to tomorrow
Take care of yourself as well. The phrase I was given is: don't set fire to yourself because they are cold
If you are worried that you are a narc, then you aren't. This won't stop you worrying or overanalysing everything you've ever done or said but you do that because you are not a narc
You are stronger than you know
Keep going, you can do this

Right?? Gorgeous man, stylish, and sooo intelligent and witty! He was so far ahead of the times with the movies he made in the later years.
He acted in a movie called Kashmir Ki Kali (Blossom of Kashmir). Story goes he threw a diva tantrum and said that his movies were always named after him, this one can't be named after the heroine. Everyone was upset and scared like wtf, what now. So he goes, "You have to name the movie after me - Kashmir Ka Kaddu (Pumpkin of Kashmir)."
Because many people affectionately call chubby people "kaddu" Can we even imagine Smegs having that sort of self-awareness or being able to make such a funny joke about herself that will be shared even after she's gone?
It was really tragic about his wife. She was a very talented actress and he genuinely loved her a lot. Poor guy must have thought, just a while longer and it could have been prevented.
