HMTQ isn't making any form of address for Easter. This is very odd - is something up? Prince Philip?

Meh Princess Anne already has the kidnapping badge, and hers was real and earnt.

Would be a *huge* gamble for Smegster to stage a kidnapping now, in this age of CCTV everywhere and every man and his dog passing by ready to whip out a cellphone and start recording anything odd. It would be suspicious if there *wasn't* any amateur cellphone footage. And it would draw so much attention to where they're really living (many say it's not Montecito Towers) and stuff like that, if they were to claim they were attacked or kidnapped there "at home".

Also, the Jussie Smollet case shows that US police don't like having their time wasted, if she got found out.
I can see Smegsy acting it all out, I truly can!
I think it's time I (and my tin foiler) got some fresh air 👑

Re: the surrogate issue, didn't I read somewhere that her 1st, annulled marriage to an Italian ended because MM didn't tell him she couldn't have kids?
H'mm, interesting. This well-known Blind Gossip article suggests that 'egg viability, egg health and the ability to carry to term were all concerns' which led MM to get onto the IVF process 'before that ring was on her finger'. That's why the surrogacy rumour seems to have legs, and all the moonbump stuff follows from that. It looks like it ties in with stories that she couldn't have kids.

Hopefully she has released this now so everyone will not expect to hear from her when she quietly sits in her loungeroom sipping tea blocked out from all the markle screams when the tit hits the fan because the titles have been removed and the money is gone completely. She cant be accused of deliberately hiding away. Fingers crossed.

White? As pp have said, quite a daring move just after giving birth.
Particularly for a global photo shoot.

I’d be wearing industrial iron clad Tena...
It's this photo that leaves me agog, who the hell wears White AND decides a long walk away from the camera is a good idea?

It's actualy not about the RF but the General Public and at this point, giving those 2 anything would be far more damaging to the Monarchy than anything said on the Oprah chat show.
It's something that Meghan never really understood about the RF, they are there by consent and the taxpayers fund them. Currently in my opinion the Royal Family are value for money hence why they still exist.
I couldn't agree more. ☺
My thoughts: the RF are right to take this opportunity to burnish up their image to appeal to the ethnic minorities who think the RF is racist (poll); plus the 19% of younger folk who would prefer a republic - and the 31% who are indifferent (Ipsos Mori poll). (Mind you, just looked on Republic's petition to abolish the monarchy and they've only got 7,359 signatures, even after the Porca interview :sneaky:).
We/the government/the RF need to be selling hard just how useful and cost-effective it is to have a monarchy and find good, convincing reasons for British young and BAME communities (hate that term, not sure what we're meant to use now) to genuinely want it to continue (how much good that deranged self-obsessed woman could have done in this field!). We need to make sure people know that the Commonwealth of Nations is not the same as the British Empire, for example, and really blow some trumpets about the good it does. Loads of positive and globally useful things have been going on quietly and sedately for years, headed by HMQ, but it's all hidden under a fug of Telegraph readers and retired Majors living in Surrey.

Sorry, was that a bit ranty? I'm a bit of a recent convert from 'meh, doesn't matter much' to royalist, so keep catching myself going on too much. At least my teenager is firmly anti-MM and agrees that William is the world's sexiest baldie.😉

Can't see if this has already been shared here? Apologies if repeat.

The Prince Harry legacy from the Queen Mother is a disputed thing. The Queen Mother left every single penny (and every penny of her enormous debts) to HMTQ. Periodically, there is mention of some sort of trust set up for Harry by the Queen Mother, as the Express story you've linked suggests.

But it appears he also had support from his great-grandmother after the 101-year-old died 19 years ago today in 2002. Harry and William were both left £14million to share between them, but investments by royal advisors over the years meant this had increased to more than £20million, which they split evenly.

Forbes Magazine, though, investigated earlier this year, and had a comment from Harry's reps that said he was not a beneficiary of the Queen Mother's estate.

His late mother, Princess Diana, who famously died in a car crash after being chased by paparazzi, made the move possible. With financial support from the Crown abruptly shut off, the relocated royals have relied largely on the estimated $10 million inheritance Harry received from his late mother’s estate. Contrary to published reports, a representative confirms he was not a beneficiary of any of the nearly $100 million (£70 million) fortune left by his great-grandmother, the Queen Mother.

But isn't Tyler Perry paying for their security? Harry had a police escort, in the James Corden interview? Wouldn't this implicate both Perry and the police?
`I thought the state of California were paying for it ... which is outrageous given the number of homeless people live in California

I agree totally about the PR need, though I’ve always been a fan of the monarchy. I passionately oppose the idea of both political power and military power being vested in the same individual. It is entirely right that our Monarch keeps all the pomp, pageantry, history and glory for herself as well as crucially having our military answer solely to her, as she doesn’t have the power to abuse it. By the same token, it is also right that our elected leader who holds true political power is forbidden from directing armies, giving honours, living in palaces and surrounding themselves with any of the tokens which even hint at authoritarianism. It also does our Prime Ministers no harm to have to attend the Monarch and give account of themselves to a wise old lady every week. It goes a long way towards keeping them honest. Constitutional monarchy leads to a head of state who is well trained, stable, impartial and comparatively cheap who can unite their people when necessary.

I very much like the Irish system too but even then, as lovely as their wee man Higgins is, their presidents have normally come from one side of the political aisle or the other so not as unifying a figure as the Queen. Plus you have to pay to elect them every 7 years. Brits wouldn’t know what they had till it was too late if they voted for a republic. I’d never want a copy of France or America’s system. Too much risk of big headed idiots marching into dictator territory, as Trump proved on 6th January.

Its why Meagain and particularly Hazzard are making me so furious because they’re threatening something vital that I think does a good job. Andrew too for that matter. They all need dumping from the line of succession pronto.

Oh well, I've tweeted the article, with a dig at Harry anyway!

I did think it would be pretty bad if only William and Harry got money from the Queen Mum, and the other great grandchildren didn't.

I didn't believe it for a second. Kate is younger than Meghan yet acts way more mature and gracefully than MM

And she doesn't demand security for herself or her children !

Also if it did happen, it would be a good excuse for the royal family to say he needs to come back to the UK where he can be looked after properly and kept safe.

And why does she have to guide him here - does she know her way round Windsor Castle more than him?

Meghan Markle never looked herself up on The Internet before the wedding. She had no IDEA who Meghan Markle was, it was a complete shock to her when she found out she was a third-rate actress.
